Melissa — Trust is a principle of the Kingdom. God knew what He was doing when He created it. It’s life-bearing, abundant-life-bearing. How beautiful it is that the principles of God are set in place to provide the John 10:10 abundant life for all who live them. He gave us a map for life. Check this out, Psalm 84:12 (AMP) “O Lord of hosts, How blessed and greatly favored is the man who trusts in You [believing in You, relying on You, and committing himself to You with confident hope and expectation].” Yes, that is beautiful. But check out the rest of Psalm 84. It literally lines out what a life looks like that trusts God. Vs. 4 “Blessed and greatly favored are those who dwell in Your house and Your presence; They will be singing Your praises all the day long. Selah.”
We are reminded regularly that the devil is growing more angry as “he realizes how short his time is getting” and that, after all, he is the ruler of this age. But being the very embodiment of a philosophical self-centered viewpoint and an influential entity upon duped humanity is far different from being in charge. Ps. 24:1 The earth is the LORD’s, and the fulness thereof; the world, and they that dwell therein.
God has not given over the earth to the devil while He bites His nails hoping we will be able to hold on until we escape. In Matt. 6:13 “evil” means full of labors, annoyances, hardships; toils, perils; causing pain and trouble. Jn. 10:10-Jesus said that the devil’s baggage includes stealing, killing and destroying but that the Kingdom qualities of Jesus include life and that more abundantly. Jesus has outscored the devil at every turn.
Melissa — The God-cloaked answer is not about God withholding an answer because we don’t get it. This is not about Him being mean or cruel. He is indeed right the opposite. “It is because of the Lord’s lovingkindness we are not consumed, because His [tender] compassions never fail. They are new every morning; Great and beyond measure is Your faithfulness.” Lam. 3:22-23 (AMP). This makes me cry. Our God is so faithful to sustain us through these battles to our answers. In fact, His goodness NEVER runs out! This scripture tells us they are NEW EVERY MORNING! There is new strength and grace to be set free right now. Y’all, He NEVER gave up on plan A which is the John 10:10 abundant life. We choose to live plan B simply because we don’t have a grasp on His love and true intent for us.

(Melissa Gabler)—(Melissa) Have you ever had times when a revelatory nugget pops up, then within days you hear the same nugget from other sources? That’s been happening as of late and I’m learning to pay attention to those! Following is one such instance that has been not only ringing in my ear, but answering some of those seemingly unanswerable questions. While in conversation this was quoted to me from a book, “God hides some things for specific times so that the enemy cannot destroy them.” That stuck with me, and a couple of days later I read a quote from someone else that was expressing the exact same thought! Well, that really hit me between the eyes, especially because these came from trusted sources. It was an “Are you listening?” moment.
The God-cloaked answer is not about God withholding an answer because we don’t get it. There is no weapon in all of hell’s arsenal that is marked “Sure ‘Nuff Christian Killer.” “No weapon forged against you will prevail (Isa.54:17).” There is no diabolical demon on the lower level of hell behind a great steel and concrete door marked “Big Bad Christian Crusher.” There just simply is no such thing. Indeed he has come to “steal, to kill and to destroy (Jn.10:10)” but he cannot unless we fall for his propaganda and give in to his deception. (Marty Gabler from his book “Sheep Have Short Legs”.)
Is the best teaching we can give people the one which tells them they can escape their problems or is it the one that shows them God and His Word is their ability to overcome them? “The reason the Son of God appeared was to destroy the devil’s work (1Jn.3:8).” “For everyone born of God overcomes the world. This is the victory that has overcome the world, even our faith (1Jn.5:4).” “The thief comes only to steal and kill and destroy; I have come that they may have life, and have it to the full(Jn.10:10).” “They overcame him [the devil] by the blood of the Lamb and by the word of their testimony (Rev.12:11).” Escaping problems isn’t the answer. The resolve of problems by the power of Almighty God is the answer. The greatest testimony to the name of God is not that He can snatch His puny people out of a menacing mess that is too much for them. The greatest testimony is that His power in their lives has brought them victory over every stronghold and principality in this present earth.

Jesus used the term “Kingdom of Heaven” attempting to get people’s focus off things that so readily paint a picture of the impossible. Such terminology as “Kingdom of Heaven” shows that it is God’s Kingdom that is in stark contrast to the limitations of earth and its finite mindsets. (Jn.18:36) Jesus said, “My Kingdom is not of this world”. He just as well could have said, “My Kingdom is not of the mindset of this present age.” Jesus had a far different orientation, a far different point of reference and totally different values that He so longed for people to get connected to so they might live as sons and daughters with abundant life (Jn.10:10). We are praying you discover daily that the Kingdom of Heaven is close to you. (Marty’s Daily Discovery as heard on TEXAS PRAISE RADIO at the bottom of the hour 24 hours/day. www.txpraise.com)

(Melissa G.) It’s about time for some good news, and here it is: we are heirs of Plan A! What is Plan A? Plan A is God’s original intent for you personally that is absolutely connected to His original intent for 2016 and beyond. And what is God’s ORIGINAL INTENT? “The thief comes only in order to steal and kill and destroy. I came that they may have and enjoy life, and have it in abundance [to the full, till it overflows]”. (John 10:10, Amp) Abundant life is about His original intent of bringing Heaven to earth through our living what Jesus made accessible. Here’s the even better news, Plan A was NEVER aborted. It is still active and accessible!

The Holy Spirit is the One who has constant communication with heaven which is the seat of God’s authority. The key to man being able to express the Kingdom of God here on earth is the presence of the Holy Spirit. As it has been so well said, the Holy Spirit is the most important Person on earth. Jesus is at the right hand of the Father—at the right hand of majesty on high. He is there in the presence of God. The presence of God is not static, He is active—constantly active.

That depreciating disparager is a thief and has come “only to steal and kill and destroy (Jn.10:10).” His goal is to steal away a word, a hope, a dream or a vision that God has given. He would love for you to think it has been canceled or, at the very least, that you will have to settle for something less. You end up bedraggled, talking like, “It’s not going to be what I originally expected it would be but ‘many are the trials of the righteous’ and I’m just glad to know the Lord.” The detractor spirit finds many an ear willing to listen, willing to believe and willing to act on the altered information.
The thief will get us preoccupied with other people’s views of our relationship with God or their opinion of the likelihood of God’s promise coming to pass in us. He wants us totally dismayed with the time period between promise and fulfillment. Such a spirit readily points out failed relationships and failed attempts “to be a part of” so it appears that there is now a “blemish” on our calling. His memory works overtime reminding us of failed or unheeded opportunities. Hence, the implication of our being unworthy or unreliable as participants in any divine purpose.
If the detractor cannot knock you completely out of the race, he wants the wind and confidence knocked out of you so that your performance is hindered. It would be somewhat like a high performance racecar driver pulling in for a pit stop and saying, “Don’t put much gas in the tank and don’t put on any new tires because I don’t deserve it the way I’ve been driving.” Cf.”For no matter how many promises God has made, they are ‘Yes’ in Christ. And so through Him the ‘Amen’ is spoken by us to the glory of God. Now it is God who makes both us and you stand firm in Christ (2Co.1:20).” Never stop saying “Amen” to what God has said.
(This is the third excerpt in a series about “Don’t Settle For Anything Less” from Marty Gabler’s book “Why Sheep Have Short Legs.”)
The enemy knows that if he cannot kill your dream, it will do him damage. The Egyptians made the Israelites’ lives “bitter with hard labor” and the “Egyptians used them ruthlessly (Ex.1:14).” Pharaoh also came up with a plan to abort the possibility of deliverance. His plan for the midwives was to slay all promise and even hope of deliverance. He wanted them to stay at it, be vigorous, don’t let up, slay them all.
I am reminded at this point of Jesus’ words “the thief comes only to steal and kill and destroy (Jn.10:10).” The enemy quietly made a deal with the midwives to go about their destruction as quietly as possible – hopefully unnoticed (cf.Ex.1:16).
The devil wants you to die in quiet desperation, preferably completely away from spiritual help and fellowship. He wants your dreams and visions to die unshared, unvoiced and most definitely…. unfulfilled.
Just as a sheep is ever searching out life-sustaining grass, it seems that we are ever searching out God’s will. God’s plan is ever to reproduce Himself in us. That’s why He gives us dreams and visions. He puts a “bullseye” out there, aims us at it and desires we move in obedience toward the center of the target.
(This is the first excerpt in a series from Marty Gabler’s book “Why Sheep Have Short Legs” Chapter Two.)
In Daniel’s writing, he sees Jesus as The Stone (Dan.2:35). By the time we get to the New Testament, Peter is referring to Jesus as the “Living Stone.” To whom coming, [as unto] a LIVING STONE, disallowed indeed of men, but chosen of God, [and] precious… (1Pe 2:4). It is most interesting to note that the only ones “disallowing” the Stone is “men.” In Psalm 2 when “kings of the earth set themselves against the Lord” and “rulers took counsel together” against the Lord, God sat far above them in the heavens untouchable and laughed at those men who had no power to touch the all-powerful God of the heavens. It simply does not matter how many or who has “disallowed” the Living Stone. What does matter is that He “is chosen of God”.

Wallowing In Worries Or Working With The Holy Spirit?
In our worries and concerns and fears, we tend to allow our focus to get fixed upon them. There is also the tendency to omit prayer and declaration and just discuss the negative factors with others who are aggravated and worried and operating out of fear like we are. We then begin to wallow in the impossibilities those things threaten and we forget about the One who is on stage to act in behalf of the Kingdom purposes of Almighty God. Yes, satan has come to steal, kill and destroy BUT JESUS has come to give life more abundantly. (Jn 10:10) And don’t forget that where sin did abound, grace did MUCH MORE abound. (Rom 5:20) The Holy Spirit is present and active in this earth to represent the program of Almighty God but there must be hearts and minds in tune with His will and purpose.
