Kathy — Is it lack of training that leaves gaps in our character? Is it lack of healthy examples that weakens our character? Or does character corrupt in the breach between knowing the truth and living according to the truth we know? I think the latter is the heart of the matter. It moves the emphasis from lack and circumstance to diligence. We do not have to be perfect, but diligence is a requirement. The hand of the diligent will rule, Prov 12:24. (NKJ) In business or ministry or government or family or the local garden club, we do not suffer a downfall because of other people. Neither do circumstances cause us to fall. Opposition does not cause us to fall. We build our own path to downfall. Bad choices, emotional decisions, wrong priorities and self-focused agendas can cause us to fail, but a downfall comes from a breach of character.
Kathy — The problem with strongholds in the soul is that Self takes the lead, surrounding itself in a defensive determination, demanding a right to survive. As king of the hill, the banners of NO SUBMISSION and SELF-SUFFICIENCY defy all comers – even God. Soulish determinations, demands, self-justifications and self-sufficiency are the opposite of humbling self; and it is those who humble themselves to God that receive God’s enabling grace, His ability to overcome. (1 Pe 5:5b) “…for God is opposed to the proud, but gives grace to the humble.”
As the people of God assemble today, may they hear and experience the powerful Word of God that propels them forward and may they go into the coming week stronger than the week before.
”The righteous shall move onward and forward; those with pure hearts shall become stronger and stronger.” (Job 17:9, Living Bible)
As the people of God assemble today may they join hands and hearts and look toward the remainder of the year with expectancy for the purposes of the Lord in each other and the victorious intervention of the Lord in their behalf. “Paul, Silvanus (Silas), and Timothy, to the assembly (church) of the Thessalonians in God the Father and the Lord Jesus Christ (the Messiah): Grace (spiritual blessing and divine favor) to you and [heart] peace.” (1Thess.1:1, Amp)
May the Lord make the remainder of the year, the people, circumstances and time of it, a fertile ground for your purpose and destiny to grow in. * May you grow beyond all the bounds of what you have been told you would never be and never accomplish. * May you outgrow the small view and reputation that family, acquaintances, church and culture have believed they had every right to keep you in. “God sent me to announce the year of his grace—a celebration of God’s destruction of our enemies—and to comfort all who mourn, To care for the needs of all who mourn in Zion, give them bouquets of roses instead of ashes, Messages of joy instead of news of doom, a praising heart instead of a languid spirit. RENAME THEM ‘OAKS OF RIGHTEOUSNESS‘ PLANTED BY GOD TO DISPLAY HIS GLORY.” (Isa.61:2-3, Msg)
Father God is initiating a maturing season that will bring forth mature sons who get mature results for the Glory of their Father. When I read 2Co 10:3-6, this is what it says to me: For though we are flesh and blood, when it comes to war we are not limited to physical frailties, human nature or human passions. For the weapons and tools of our warfare are not fettered by mere human motives and passions with temporal effects. Rather, we dismantle the powers of darkness by pulling down their conniving efforts to block our knowing God and His instruction that will cause us to prevail. As we learn to pierce the piece God points out, we will see God-results. Like our example, we will learn to merely do what He says do and watch God happen. –Kathy Gabler
As the people of God assemble today, may they lift up their heads simply because they know Whom they have believed and because they know He is able to keep that which they have committed to Him. May the assembled ones commit to Him what they never have committed to Him in the past and may they fully relinquish to Him anything that they might still have some hold on. “. . . I know (perceive, have knowledge of, and am acquainted with) Him Whom I have believed (adhered to and trusted in and relied on), and I am [positively] persuaded that He is able to guard and keep that which has been entrusted to me and which I have committed [to Him] until that day.” (2Tim.1:12, Amp)
This is the time to loose your grasp on plan B and take hold, with both hands, of plan A — Father’s original intent for your life. If your answer is hidden, ask God what the right question is in this moment. Ask Him what, in you, might be hindering the answer. Ask Him what you need to know today. He’s got plans for you, He is not into punishing you. His M.O. is all about forgiveness, redemption, relationship, and promotion, all for His glory. Hey, if He tells you it’s simply about timing then it’s really that simple. His timing is perfect. Look at the birth and life of Samuel. Perseverance is key! It’s going to be an amazing time on into next year. Get ready for your answers. –Melissa Gabler

Marty recently dreamed that he, Melissa and I went into a region of the U.S. to free a young woman from a prison of prostitution. Praying in the Spirit, we were all propelled through barriers, breaching the stronghold she was in. The battle was an intervention and the details were so specific and graphic that he awoke in a sweat and sought me out to see if I too had had the dream. While a rehearsal dream can be as impacting as a night vision, its purpose is to equip us for the future and we awake with a deposit of confidence that comes because we have already experienced something. The night vision is not only about equipping, it is about accomplishing a task. Such divinely orchestrated assignments can move us through dimensions to a God-appointment with stealth. The enemy doesn’t know we are coming, and he cannot explain the defeat his stronghold suffered when we leave. The follow-up action to a night vision is an “amen,” a “so be it,” to seal the outcome that was literally acquired. Could such translation to complete a task happen in daylight hours? Yes, mature sons can get mature results in whatever rules of engagement Father designs. –Kathy Gabler

“AS YOU GO” about your Father’s business today, this week and the remainder of this year, what you accomplish will far exceed your abilities and learned knowledge. You will have delightful discoveries that your Father’s hand is working beyond your immediate awareness. You will be involved in His workings without having to launch yourself for a particular mission. He will use you and you will accomplish matters for His Kingdom “AS YOU GO”. You will accomplish more “accidentally” than the enemy will accomplish on purpose. Matt 10:7 “And AS YOU GO, preach, saying, The kingdom of heaven is at hand!”
I have been seeing God’s hand moving behind a curtain on a stage. That has kept me anticipating the curtain rising in my understanding. Little by little an expectation has grown in me that we are about to see many things the Holy Spirit has been adjusting, rearranging, developing, redeeming, restoring and maturing. I don’t think there will be some colorful, feel good, fairy tale play behind those curtains, rather a stage set with details that bring clarity and a God-perspective that equips us, literally showing us another way to think and perceive and prevail. I have a feeling the curtain will rise on insights that adjust our mode of operation and strategies and change our outcomes. –Kathy Gabler
I can’t help but think that there has to be a greater degree of the will of God activated in this current generation than any previous just because the Kingdom is ever-increasing (Isa. 9:7). An increase in the intensity and extremes of evil do not change that truth, in fact they testify to darkness getting more obvious because of the Light. When we consider the hugeness of matters such as the Kingdom coming and God’s will being done in the earth and the ever unstoppable, increasing government of God, we may be tempted to step back and think that all sounds out of reach for little ole me. Yet, if a tiny glimpse of what God wants to do in the life of a cashier in Walmart or a piece of understanding concerning God’s will about the President of the United States brings me to a prayer of agreement, that moment is a touch-point between heaven and earth.
I declare, today, my independence from the mind that is enmity toward God Almighty. I declare independence from dead works and lifeless observances in order that I might effectively serve the ever-living God. “How much more surely shall the blood of Christ, Who by virtue of [His] eternal Spirit [His own preexistent divine personality] has offered Himself as an unblemished sacrifice to God, purify our consciences from dead works and lifeless observances to serve the [ever] living God?” (Heb.9:14, Amp)
“Do not be deceived, God is not mocked [He will not allow Himself to be ridiculed, nor treated with contempt nor allow His precepts to be scornfully set aside]; for whatever a man sows, this and this only is what he will reap. For the one who sows to his flesh [his sinful capacity, his worldliness, his disgraceful impulses] will reap from the flesh ruin and destruction, but the one who sows to the Spirit will from the Spirit reap eternal life.” (Galatians 6:7-8 Amplified). As my hair stood on end, I realized this is the chaotic shriek we are hearing on a daily basis throughout this nation. The wicked ARE receiving their harvest because they have mocked the Great I AM. The humanistic spirit of this age thought it killed God. Oops!
—Melissa Gabler (From the article “Reaping is Upon us)
A farmer we know had a new Doberman puppy. One morning the puppy was in the barn with the horse. The farmer’s wife heard the horse stomping around and then heard a desperate yelp from the puppy! She ran into the barn and found the tiny puppy limp and lifeless. She could see no wound, but the small pet lay in the puddle of released bowels she knew to be a sign of sudden death. She rushed the unresponsive puppy to the vet. The vet took one look at the dog and said, “The dog is dead. There is nothing I can do.”
When the farmer returned, his wife broke the news that his new puppy was on the back porch dead. The farmer knelt beside the stiff little body and studied the once shiny eyes now glazed in a dead stare. He called her name, “Princess.” He watched the motionless pup intently. Moments later, she moved her tail slightly. He called her name again, “Princess,” and began to stroke her. The tiny tail broke into a full swing, lifting her rear off the ground into a full wag! When he called her name, she suddenly agreed with her identity and purpose and future instead of what might have been. We will never know if the horse actually kicked her or just came close. Either way, the dog who thought she was dead overcame the trauma of the giant in the barn and lived to fulfill her purpose, becoming the best watch dog the farmer ever had.
Sometimes all our enemy has to do is show up. We give up because of OPPOSITION. Sometimes all he has to do is be taller. We give up because of INTIMIDATION. Sometimes all he has to do is cast a shadow over us. We give up because of DOUBTS. Sometimes all he has to do is be louder than hope. We give up because of IMPOSSIBILITIES. Sometimes all he has to do is out last us. We give up because of LACK of PERSEVERANCE. Sometimes all our enemy has to do is scare us with what might have been. If in shock we AGREE, he is successful. It is not what the enemy takes, it is what we give over! Some things were given over in past generations, but we can even take those things back through agreeing with our Redeemer!
Have you ever been praying and all of a sudden words fall out of your mouth that stop you in your tracks because they came straight from your spirit? That happened to me recently while praying over our nation. I was praying about the deep-seated darkness being exposed, then I heard myself saying this, “Angels attend to the harvest.” I all of a sudden realized that I have had a particular paradigm about “harvest” and in that moment it was turned upside down. I realized in that moment that “harvest” to me has always referred to either people getting saved or financial blessing. In that moment, I immediately knew it was time for the wicked to receive their harvest. In other words, it is time for the wicked to reap what they have sown, and angels are seeing to that harvesting! (Melissa Gabler, first excerpt from “Reaping”)
As the people of God assemble today may they know to Whom they belong and to Whom they have committed all their yesterdays and all their tomorrows to. May they speak of Yahweh and His assurances to one another and may they worship Him in spirit and in truth. “…I know (perceive, have knowledge of, and am acquainted with) Him Whom I have believed (adhered to and trusted in and relied on), and I am [positively] persuaded that He is able to guard and keep that which has been entrusted to me and which I have committed [to Him] until that day.” (2Tim.1:12, Amp)
The blimp bobbed a bit and then shot skyward in spite of its bulk. The wind picked it up like a child’s toy and handled it without difficulty. All of the crew had let go of their lines except for one lone worker who realized too late that he was above the limit of safety for letting go. My heart leapt and I hollered out encouragement for the poor fellow to hold on. It was readily apparent that the frightened lad was “holding fast” to the line that was his only hope for safety from death. He maintained a determined hold on that line, for what seemed an eternity, until the pilot was finally able to set the behemoth safely back down. In like manner, we must absolutely “hold fast” to the Word of God which we have heard. Scrambling about, simply and desperately reaching for the handiest thing will never suffice. We must hold to the Word of God in order to be set down in the place of safety. There is no substitute or replacement for the life-saving Word of God. Lk 8:15 “But as for that [seed] in the good soil, these are [the people] who, hearing the Word, HOLD IT FAST in a just (noble, virtuous) and worthy heart, and steadily bring forth fruit with patience.” (Amp)
Injury or harm are not an acceptable part of a day or life of a son/daughter of God. This day, by faith in the name of Jesus, I draw the Bloodline (the New Testament, the New Covenant provision purchased for me by the shed Blood of JESUS at Calvary) around me and my family. We are the redeemed of the Lord and we say so. I receive my Lord’s provision and covering for safe keeping that I, and mine, may be healthy and walk fully in the fulfillment of His covenant purposes in our generation. “and he said: “Lord God of Israel, there is no God in heaven above or on earth below like You, who keep Your covenant and mercy with Your servants who walk before You with all their hearts.” (1Kings8:23, NKJV)
