Fast Fear

Melissa — Hey, you can fast fear! It’s true! Set your mind to it and watch how aware you become of fear in your life.  It’s amazing how interwoven that stinker is.  But when you become aware, you can do something about it.  You can take your rightful place in the driver’s seat by forcing fear out.  Ask the Holy Spirit to point it out, then you replace it with truth.  You replace fear with God’s original intent for your life, thoughts of peace to give you an expected end (Jer. 29:11).  This is not necessarily an overnight change, it takes time.  It’s a process well worth it, but you can still be an agent of change in the middle of your process.  How? By listening to the Father and doing/saying what He tells you (John 5:19).

Aware of Father

Kathy — Another daily Kingdom lifestyle challenge is to be aware of what Father is doing. We are sons and daughters of God living on earth in this time of history to do our Father’s business. His business translates as what we SEE or PERCEIVE that He is doing or wants done. The example that Jesus gave us for a Kingdom lifestyle doesn’t depend on us duplicating His exact situations or His exact miracles. The pattern He gave was doing what He saw the Father doing (Jn.5:19). That tells us the core essential here is not WHAT Jesus did but WHY He did it. Can you wrap your mind around that difference? If you don’t, you could live your whole life with a sense of not measuring up because you haven’t fed 5000 people with one little boy’s lunch. Unless YOU see the Father wanting you to do that, don’t even try it! If you live constantly focused on how you are or are not duplicating the acts of Jesus, you are not likely to even PERCEIVE what the Father is doing in any given moment.

The Son Acts in Same Manner as Father

Kathy — There are some people who seek knowledge and spiritual connections to have influence over other people, ultimately hoping to be powerful and wealthy.  They may or may not realize they are allying with demons: 1) while demons can take a person past natural knowledge, they are not all-knowing, 2) demons are under no obligation to be truthful. 3) demons are never ‘helpful’. Demons are maneuvering for control, to have agents to actualize through in order to steal, kill and destroy (Jn.10:10) at the opportune moment.
FatherSonThere are those who will defend their practices declaring themselves “compassionate defenders and helpers of the helpless”.  This is the same bill of goods the serpent sold Adam and Eve in the garden: you will be able to discern good and evil and know just how to deal with it. You will be just like God.  The bottom line is that no matter how good human intentions are, if they refuse to operate in the Spirit of Christ, they are opposing His Lordship and they ultimately defile lives.  The excellence and skill of the human ability without Christ boils down to worshiping the abilities of the creature rather than the Creator. The word is very clear that these are works of darkness and workers that He never knew.  Matt. 7:21-23  “Not everyone who says to Me, ‘Lord, Lord,’ shall enter the kingdom of heaven, but he who does the will of My Father in heaven. “Many will say to Me in that day, ‘Lord, Lord, have we not prophesied in Your name, cast out demons in Your name, and done many wonders in Your name?’ “And then I will declare to them, ‘I never knew you; depart from Me, you who practice lawlessness!’”(NKJ) (Compare Jn.5:19, NASB — “Therefore Jesus answered and was saying to them, ‘Truly, truly, I say to you, the Son can do nothing of Himself, unless it is something He sees the Father doing; for whatever the Father does, these things the Son also does in the same way.”)

Accomplished Through Connection

Jesus blessed many lives. He did miracles by the power of the Holy Spirit that redemptively impacted people. Jesus got done what He got done because of His connection with the Father. Jn 5:19  Jesus said to the Jews, “I can guarantee this truth: The Son cannot do anything on his own. He can do only what he sees the Father doing. Indeed, the Son does exactly what the Father does.” (GW) The fruit of our lives is a witness of the connections we have made. In Jn.15:4 Jesus makes it plain that the only way a branch can produce fruit is to live in the vine, i.e., be properly connected. We are praying you discover daily that you are connected to Father God through Jesus for His redemptive purposes in the earth.  (Marty’s Daily Discovery as heard on TEXAS PRAISE RADIO at the bottom of the hour 24hrs/day.) www.txpraise.com

See What Shall Be

LookingForward
The prophetic mind can see what others simply cannot. Jesus was in communion with the Father and had His mind, His manner of thinking (Matt.14:23; Jn.5:19 “likewise” means “in the same way”). The mindset that is not prophetic only looks at present conditions. The prophetic mindset looks at what shall be. Abraham only considered Sarah’s dead womb. But God considered the life He was going to put in that womb and did not hesitate to inform Abram that his seed would be as the number of the stars of the sky (Gen.15:5). Prophetic voices have God’s perspective on what is and what shall be and refuse to be bound by the limitations of the poverty of the human experience, and refuse to get into agreement with it by speaking it.

Going Through Doors

May we not slam doors of opportunity that are open to us through our words and/or our actions (even if we did not intend those words or actions to walk thru doorbe detrimental). May we be open to approaching doors considering the possibility that we just might have to go through this one after adjusting our paradigms and preferences. May we not look back in several years and wish we had done something differently or wish we had been willing to “pay the price” to walk through that door. May we hear the voice of our LORD as we approach doors in the future and walk through them in the manner of His choosing within His timing.

“Then Jesus answered and said to them, “Most assuredly, I say to you, the Son can do nothing of Himself, but what He sees the Father do; for whatever He does, the Son also does in like manner.”(Jn. 5:19, NKJV)

A Good Thing Or A God Thing?

sunrise_blue“Therefore Jesus answered and was saying to them, ‘Truly, truly, I say to you, the Son can do nothing of Himself, unless it is something He sees the Father doing; for whatever the Father does, these things the Son also does in like manner’.” (Jn. 5:19)  Two things to note here: (1.) Jesus did not do anything unless He “saw” the Father doing it and (2.) when He did do something, He did it in the same manner the Father would do it.

Religion is in the habit of deciding to do something, then setting about doing it and then asking God to bless it. We can attempt things by ourselves and there will be some kind of result, but is it a God-result? Does the “good thing” take the place of the “God thing?”

Obedience Is Essential

Obedience Is Essential (Kathy)

Obedience is essential to Kingdom life. “Not everyone who says to Me, Lord, Lord, will enter the kingdom of heaven, but he who does the will of My Father Who is in heaven.” (Mt7:21) We don’t have the option of doing “churchy stuff” instead of His will. If a father/son relationship exists between us and our God, obedience is going to be in evidence. If we try to do signs and wonders just because we are good little Christians, what we will get is a hernia. We do signs and wonders because Father said, “Do ‘this’” or “Do ‘that’”. It is then that we get Kingdom results. We have to do what Father is doing… in His way and in His time. “So Jesus answered them by saying, I assure you, most solemnly I tell you, the Son is able to do nothing of Himself (of His own accord); but He is able to do only what He sees the Father doing, for whatever the Father does is what the Son does in the same way.” (Jn5:19)

This is an excerpt from Kathy’s teaching on “Healing And Signs And Wonders”. She will be teaching Saturday Nov.10, 2012 at Grace International in Willis,TX just north of Conroe. We will also be sharing testimonies of some of the miracles in recent months including three more testimonies of people healed of cancer. There will be teaching, worship, ministry and activation. More info about “Nov.10” CLICK HERE.
