Melissa — What do I do when these prophetic things occur? Here’s where I start: TAKE THE TIME TO PAY ATTENTION. Remember, this life is meant to be EPIC. Take time to act, pray, speak it/declare it, write it down or simply agree in that moment. If it’s not obvious what to do, ask God for instruction. You may need to hold on to it for future reference. Don’t get impatient and jump into action if the action is not clear. That could lead to an unpleasant outcome. He could be training you in that moment, getting you ready.
Jesus had received a mandate from the Father to bring the government of heaven into the earth. He was to bring the unseen into the seen. Because of His time with the Father in prayer and His commitment to that mandate (Jn.5:19), He was able to speak the language of the Kingdom (Jn.12:49). When Jesus ministered to the man at the pool of Bethesda He spoke language to the man which the man had never heard (Jn5:8) and the result was liberation from a lifetime of infirmity. The language Jesus spoke was addition, multiplication, even creation. People are waiting to hear the language of life that is in Christ Jesus. Best thing to do is imitate Him.
Kathy — “Forgive us our debts as we also forgive our debtors. . .” And forgive us our debts AS we forgive our debtors. I wonder if a healthy father-son relationship means having to continually ask for forgiveness? I think many Christians feel this part of the prayer is a directive to always be sure we are still saved, but that is not praying as a son. A healthy son does not continually question if he is still a part of the family. This statement, more than a petition to be forgiven, is submission to a mature son’s discipline and training. Forgiveness untethers us so our lives do not revolve around our conflicts. Forgiveness changes our focus from failure to future.
Melissa — The following list is not only how the prophetic lifestyle is lived out, it is also ways in which He trains us for a prophetic lifestyle. This is not a comprehensive list. There are so many ways to hear from the Alpha and Omega. We don’t all have the same exact experiences because we each have a personal relationship with God. The way you hear has to do with this most important relationship of your life! But, as you’ll see, there are similarities in ways we all hear.
1.) Coincidences: the occurrence of events that happen at the same time by accident but seem to have some connection. (Webster’s Dictionary) Coincidences can easily be put in the I don’t want to be weird category, so they can easily be ignored. Pay attention! Remember, God is working on many levels, so why would we not experience coincidences?
2.) DeJa-Vu: a feeling that one has seen or heard something before. (Webster’s Dictionary) Nope, not spooky at all, rather a fantastic training experience! If you have one simply ask what you need to see. If you don’t get an answer, perhaps you were being trained to pay attention.
3.) Dreams: of course God speaks to us in dreams. Our conscious mind is out of the way.
4.) Visions: are like a movie in your head or right before your eyes.
5.) Double-take: is that thing which makes you look again because you thought you saw something and it ends up not being there.
6.) Feelings: are about a knowing in your gut, excitement out of nowhere, uneasiness out of nowhere.
7.) Urges: to pray, do something, call someone, go somewhere.
8.) Hearing: still small voice or loud and clear.
9.) Thoughts: came out of nowhere. You weren’t even thinking about that subject and the thought won’t go away. It just sits in your mind.
10.) The place between awake and asleep: the mind is not in the way here. From my experience these moments have been very clear.
11.) In conversation: something strikes a chord, confirms something you heard, or an idea comes “out of nowhere”. An inspirational conversation, if you will.
As the people of God assemble today they know that the Lord has not forsaken them no matter what the circumstances are trying to say. Though there will be opposition, we expect the Lord to be with us (Heb.3:5). If the Lord be with us, we shall overcome. Ps.50:15,TPT — “Honor me by trusting in me in your day of trouble. Cry aloud to me, and I will be there to rescue you.” Heb.3:5,Amp — “…. or He has said, “I will never [under any circumstances] desert you [nor give you up nor leave you without support, nor will I in any degree leave you helpless], nor will I forsake or let you down or relax My hold on you [assuredly not]!””
Kathy — The prayer, “Give us this day our daily bread” is not a frugal request for bread crumbs to fight off hunger and poverty; rather it is an agreement with unlimited means for whatever is needed to walk out our purpose and bring glory to our Father. He knows not only what we are to accomplish and steward in our day, but also in our lifetime, and He also knows the provision and timing of portions necessary to do so. “Give us this day our daily bread” is deliberate agreement with our Father’s apportioning for life and purpose on a daily basis. That means if I need $5000 today so it will gain interest and be an exact amount needed forty months from now, that $5000 will be part of my daily bread today. As sons we steward relationships, money, circumstances, business and mandates. If we trust Father to apportion our daily provision, that provision will be neither limited nor wasteful, but I believe understanding this as a declaration of agreement will definitely blow our doors with the changes it brings to our lives. That prayer is agreement with (1) Father’s economy, (2) Father’s accounting and (3) Father’s agenda.
Kathy — Give us this day our daily bread. . . In a healthy father-son relationship, a son does not ask his father for enough food to be sustained for a day. (Matt.6:8 already stated Father is aware of our needs even before we are.) Give us this day our daily bread, more than a request, is a declaration of trust that our Father will decide the right portion, daily. Rather than a mere petition, it is a declaration of agreement when we realize that our Father already knows the portion of provision (physically, financially, circumstantially) that we need in our lives today, not just to survive but to be fulfilled and equipped and successful.
Melissa — How do you know if what you are hearing is God? Well, does it line up with His Word? For instance, murder and adultery… not God! Also, He trains you to hear Him. “The hearing ear, and the seeing eye, the Lord hath made even both of them.” (Proverbs 2:12) Sometimes we train ourselves to ignore the prophetic lifestyle because we “don’t want to be weird”. This really is an epic life we are meant to live—not fairytale or fantasy, but epic. Why epic? Epic is quite unlike fairytale or fantasy that denote magic, rainbows and butterflies, and other-worldly superhumans. “Epic” denotes work, grit, fight, humans living their destiny and winning. So, don’t ignore His training. Don’t ignore that relationship.

May the Lord give you many heads-up notices about what is “coming down the pike” in the days ahead. May you be prepared at all levels by His leading, wisdom, impressions, inklings and words of knowledge. Jer.33:3,NLT—“Ask me and I will tell you remarkable secrets you do not know about things to come.”
Prov.4:24-27,TheVoice—“Keep your head up, your eyes straight ahead, and your focus fixed on what is in front of you. 26 Take care you don’t stray from the straight path, the way of truth, and you will safely reach the end of your road. 27 Do not veer off course to the right or the left; step away from evil, and leave it behind.”
Kathy — “Thy will be done on earth as in heaven” . . . (Matt.6:10). A son can choose to agree with His Father’s will whether he knows it specifically or not in any situation because he knows his Father and trusts his Father’s wisdom. A son/daughter can also pray this prayer of agreement because he/she understands the “givens,” those conditions, designs and circumstances that reflect his/her Father’s will.
Melissa — You are a representative of heaven during your lifetime. “But you are a chosen race, a royal priesthood, a consecrated nation, a [special] people for God’s own possession, so that you may proclaim the excellencies [the wonderful deeds and virtues and perfections] of Him who called you out of darkness into His marvelous light.” (1 Peter 2:9, Amplified)
As the people of God assemble today may they let their light shine so that others are encouraged and strengthened by the Light of the world (Jn.8:12) that dwells in them and may they let that light shine in the week to come wherever they go and whatever they do. Matt.5:16,TPT—“So don’t hide your light! Let it shine brightly before others, so that your commendable works will shine as light upon them, and then they will give their praise to your Father in heaven.”

It is the season for people of God to learn new languages that will serve them to be profitable to themselves and others. They will learn the languages of finance, politics, technology and diplomacy. The sons of Issachar knew what Israel ought to do for the times (1Chron.12:32). They knew the language of finance, politics and science. They were, therefore, profitable to their family, tribe and nation in the midst of what Israel was up against. There is an Issachar enabling for God’s people in this time of history. Kathy — Thy Kingdom come . . . This is a statement of agreement that Father’s order and government should and is coming into manifestation, and that this earthly domain should reflect the Father’s. This is what a son prays when he/she understands the power of agreement.
From a spontaneous song Melissa sang:
“You don’t understand what a day can hold. With each breath you take things can change. You don’t understand what this day can hold. With the next breath you take life can change. With each step you take won’t you expect the impossible? Won’t you expect the answer? Don’t you understand that a day sits in the palm of His hand? With each breath you take life can change. So, won’t you get ready for the impossible at your door? Because each day sits in the palm of His hand and there’s nothing outside of His grasp, nothing too far for His eyes to see.”
The time of sorrow and lamenting in labor is past for many of God’s people (whosever will) in this season. Eph.2:10,Amp—“For we are His workmanship [His own master work, a work of art], created in Christ Jesus [reborn from above—spiritually transformed, renewed, ready to be used] for good works, which God prepared [for us] beforehand [taking paths which He set], so that we would walk in them [living the good life which He prearranged and made ready for us].” ICor.15:58,Amp—“Therefore, my beloved brothers and sisters, be steadfast, immovable, always excelling in the work of the Lord [always doing your best and doing more than is needed], being continually aware that your labor [even to the point of exhaustion] in the Lord is not futile nor wasted [it is never without purpose].” Ps.92:4,Amp—“For You, O Lord, have made me glad by Your works; At the works of Your hands I joyfully sing.”
It is the will of Jehovah God that His people find joy in their labors. “Blessed is everyone who fears and worships the Lord… For you shall eat the fruit of the labor of your hands; happy shall you be and it shall be well with you.”(Ps128:1-2) People of God will inherit the labors of other nations. “He brought forth His people with joy…and gave them the lands of the nations and they reaped the fruits of those peoples’ labor, that they might observe His statutes.” (Ps.105:43-45) The people of God are not for the shame of His embarrassment but are for the praise of His glory. (Isa.60:21; Eph1:12) Labor with wisdom and invest with wisdom.
Kathy — Hallowed be Thy name . . . (Matt.10:9). You are holy. I venerate Your name, knowing it represents all that You are, all Your authority and character. Father, there is no other like You, nor can anyone else be called by Your Name.

Melissa — The initial hit you receive from the enemy might require you to go on the defense, but you never stay there. I will explain this in a tactical way. I took self-defense classes for a number of years. One of my instructors said, “We teach you to defend yourself one time. We will never teach you to stay in a defensive position. You must counter, control, and finish the fight.” Well, my goodness. What strategy! After you defend yourself one time from your enemy’s attack you then strike back with the weapons and skill God has given you. You can’t stay just in the defensive position. You propel forward because He already set up your counter measures and you are well armed, and able! What are your counter measures? Number one: Scripture. Number two: your Holy Spirit-breathed prophetic words. Other than that, whatever God has personally set up for you. Ask Him to show you and open your eyes to see! Don’t get bogged down in the fear of it. Look for His provision because it is already there. Isaiah 54:17 — “no weapon formed against you shall prosper” is not an afterthought. It is solid forethought!
As the people of God assemble today may they rejoice and be glad that they are not without hope, because they can confidently say, “I know Him [and I am personally acquainted with Him] whom I have believed [with absolute trust and confidence in Him and in the truth of His deity], and I am persuaded [beyond any doubt] that He is able to guard that which I have entrusted to Him until that day [when I stand before Him].” (2Tim.1:12,Amp)
Do not adopt the world’s sense of hopelessness. Their hopelessness does not take God’s love or miracles into account… but be transformed by the renewing of your mind. Do not be held in the present circumstances that try to hold you in their grasp. Get into the Word and get God’s picture of things. Rom.12:2,TPT—“Stop imitating the ideals and opinions of the culture around you, but be inwardly transformed by the Holy Spirit through a total reformation of how you think. This will empower you to discern God’s will as you live a beautiful life, satisfying and perfect in his eyes.”
Kathy Gabler—Dreams can also be a communication tool that is a disclosure within ourselves, between our subconscious and conscious mind. These dreams spring from our senses, concerns, questions, thoughts, choices, emotions, desires and imaginings, “dreams which you cause to be dreamed” (Jer.29:8) or they spring from memories, beliefs, values, worries, fears, stresses, etc., “dreams come when there are many cares” (Ecc. 5:3). A common disclosure dream is that you are back in school, but can’t find your class, or you didn’t bring your homework, or you forgot your clothes! In either case, the disclosure of what is going on inside is that you are dealing with feelings of being unequipped or inadequate or you are fearing failure or humiliation, etc. Though these dreams may not be a telegram from God, they can still be sanctioned by a God-purpose for our life. These type dreams can help us “work out our own salvation,” by revealing issues that are causing dysfunction or lack or sickness.

Melissa — We/YOU carry what our nation and the world needs, and you can change things from where you are at this moment. God used a remnant of people time and time again to make big changes. He’s God, a tiny dose of His power can turn this thing upside-down! Our new motto for the middle of 2021 and beyond: “As goes the remnant, so goes the nation”. Prophetic voices are voices that speak on the same scale God is speaking on. We should be speaking the heart of God which brings about those things which man cannot accomplish. If we speak for God we speak in “giant” language, not “ant” language like those who have adapted their thinking to the present world system (Rom.12:2). In many cases we have learned to talk like the Egyptians and the Babylonians whose gods had moral shortcomings and fickle emotions like the people who served them. Prophetic voices have God’s perspective on what is and what shall be and refuse to be bound by the limitations of the poverty of the human experience.
