In Jn.14:1 when Jesus is instructing His disciples to not let their hearts be troubled, Jesus is saying, “Stop putting your thoughts on those things, consciously and determinedly steer your thoughts back on to Me”. That does not mean you put your head in the sand, it means putting your focus where it belongs. There were probably disciples saying, “But I know the waves are there! I am sitting in 6in. of water!” But the answer is not in focusing on the waves but focusing on Him who is so desiring to pull me up out of the waves and on Him who is so desirous to stop the waves. “We look away from the natural realm and we fasten our gaze onto Jesus who birthed faith within us…” (Heb.12:2a, TPT)
The month of FEBRUARY IS FOR FOCUSING ON THE FACE OF OUR LORD Who is for us, rather than focusing on the opposing factors that are attempting to defeat us. “Why are you down in the dumps, dear soul? Why are you crying the blues? Fix my eyes on God— soon I’ll be praising again. He puts a smile on my face. He’s my God.” (Ps.42:5, Msg) “When they opened their eyes and looked around all they saw was Jesus, only Jesus.” (Matt.17:8, Msg)
(Kathy) Interference hits circumstances with intent to rob or sabotage. Harassment aims for emotions and attitudes. Both are ultimately aiming to keep us from crossing thresholds and getting to fulfillment. Interference usually becomes obvious at some point, but harassment often needs to be discerned, especially if it is to be countered before it contaminates. Interference and harassment are nothing new but their pattern of targeting crucial thresholds is an equipping discovery that brings focus and clarity.

The spies were not sent into Canaan to see how big the giants were so the spies could repetitively tell horror stories about them. The spies were sent there to see what opportunities awaited Israel to glorify the name of Jahweh in the growth and advancement of their nation. Is our focus God’s focus?
Wallowing In Worries Or Working With The Holy Spirit?
In our worries and concerns and fears, we tend to allow our focus to get fixed upon them. There is also the tendency to omit prayer and declaration and just discuss the negative factors with others who are aggravated and worried and operating out of fear like we are. We then begin to wallow in the impossibilities those things threaten and we forget about the One who is on stage to act in behalf of the Kingdom purposes of Almighty God. Yes, satan has come to steal, kill and destroy BUT JESUS has come to give life more abundantly. (Jn 10:10) And don’t forget that where sin did abound, grace did MUCH MORE abound. (Rom 5:20) The Holy Spirit is present and active in this earth to represent the program of Almighty God but there must be hearts and minds in tune with His will and purpose.
