We are instructed by our Lord to pray, “Thy Kingdom come, thy will be done on earth as it is in heaven.” It goes without saying that (1) we are to expect that Kingdom to come as we pray and (2) we are the ones through whom that Kingdom is demonstrated. Creation is groaning for the manifestation of the sons of God who have given themselves over to the redemptive rule of God and allow that rule to be extended through them.

I watched the season when we all tried to find our purpose while living external. There is only one purpose in earth, different functions but only one purpose. In Philippians 1, Paul was in prison and the people were praying for his deliverance. He made this statement, “The thing is not whether I live or die, the purpose is that Christ be manifest. For me to live is Christ.” You may be called to be an apostle or prophet, but that is not your destiny or purpose. That is a function in which you are to manifest Christ. Until we find out that our purpose is to manifest Christ, we will not know what life is about because callings and giftings will not satisfy. When we know Him internally, the motive is love and the purpose is that Christ be manifest. There is no other purpose for the saints. If we know Christ externally and get caught up in destiny and purpose, we fight people to the top, but manifest sons manifest Christ. Things that were important in the external are no longer important when we move into the internal.(This article was taken from a teaching given by Simon Purvis. can endure to the end and be saved (Matt 24:13). Jesus was so certain Peter could endure that He said, “And WHEN you have turned back , strengthen your brothers .” (Lk 22:32, NIV) Cf. Therefore He is able also to save forever those who draw near to God through Him , since He always lives to make intercession for them (Heb. 7:25, NAU; also Rom 8:27, 34). Though the temptation is to draw away from God and the fellowship of the saints when we fail, it is obvious from the book of Hebrews that those who are saved are those who draw near to God through Him. The concern Jesus has is not only to see you and I turned back to purpose and productivity but that we might strengthen others to do likewise. While we acquiesce to the pain of our failures and disillusionment and award ourselves precious time to lick our wounds, the strengthening of others simply gets put on hold. never experienced in our nation or world. This explains so much. How can we live in the abundant life John 10:10 talks about if we have a knee bowed in fear of everything at our doorstep? How can we see miracles when we are bowing our knee to the impossibilities mounted against us? How can we leave a winning legacy when we count ourselves among the doomed statistics of disease and age and depletion and debt? It’s really starting to make sense why we have only seen glimpses of effectualness. Many have been under the control of the enemy who planted subtle deposits of fear for years through platforms to which we’ve given our trust and they didn’t work. But now it’s our time. We get to be alive for this! We get to be alive for the awakening and to bring the Kingdom to earth in ways we’ve never seen before. could not help but marvel, “What manner of man is this?” That is worship. The effects of the mission accomplished was the deliverance of a city from demonic possession, but the real mission was to get the Church to worship. When we worship, we move into a dimension of God called His throne room. By the way, we are already seated therein. We are here in our physical bodies, but we have an even greater, more significant presence at the right hand of God the Father in Christ. At the right hand is the place of highest authority. As God gets us into that understanding, then from earthly place and time, we really worship as we are worshiping already in the heavenly realm. Seated in the presence of His majesty we are worshiping Him along with angels and creatures and elders that cannot stop even if they wanted to. This is the seat of His government which we call His Kingdom. It is important that we marvel and worship, for when the Church worships, that tips the scale. Though the temptation is to draw away from God and the fellowship of the saints when we fail, it is obvious from the book of Hebrews that those who are saved are those who draw near to God through Him. The concern Jesus has is not only to see you and I turned back to purpose and productivity but that we might strengthen others to do likewise. While we acquiesce to the pain of our failures and disillusionment and award ourselves precious time to lick our wounds, the strengthening of others simply gets put on hold.
