Jesus came as Emmanuel, God with us, and brought forth fruit (Jn.12:28;17:1). He was not just a religious icon. Jesus was the Kingdom exposed to mankind. In Jesus, the Kingdom was observed — in His lifestyle, His character, His actions (Matt.12:28). The fact that He brought forth fruit is the fact that He was the glory of His Father in the earth. “And the Word became flesh, and dwelt among us, and we saw His glory, glory as of the only begotten from the Father, full of grace and truth.” (Jn.1:14, NASB) In his new book, The Orphan Heart, our dear friend Larry Burden gives an interesting definition of “glory” from the Greek word “doxa”: “the appearance, form or aspect of a person which catches our attention and commands our recognition”. The Message Translation puts it like this: “The Word became flesh and blood, and moved into the neighborhood. We saw the glory with our own eyes, the one-of-a-kind glory, like Father, like Son, Generous inside and out, true from start to finish.” (Jn.1:14, Msg) Though the Father was sitting upon a throne in heaven, He could be seen in the earth in Jesus as He grew and interacted with His environment.

Larry Burden — The Book of Acts is one of my favorite books of the Bible. Not only does it document the history of the early church, but it also reveals the Father’s intent for the influence of His church in the earth. It is a training manual for the body of believers to demonstrate how we are to cooperate with the Holy Spirit to govern the earth as representatives of Jesus. Christ established the foundation of leadership in the early church as a model for us to follow today. He set in the five-fold leadership team to provide a full expression of Himself through the ascension gifts described in Ephesians 4:11-12. Such leadership is essential today for maturing the body of Christ so that, as His followers, we might become enabled to assume our specific functions of command as His church. The command structure given to us as Christ’s followers (His church) is clearly demonstrated throughout the New Testament. Jesus first models it to the twelve, then the seventy, and ultimately to the one hundred and twenty on the Day of Pentecost. The purpose of the command structure is to facilitate the original Dominion Mandate of Genesis 1:28. As Commander-in-Chief, Jesus simply follows what the Father is commanding (John 12:49). As His commanders in the earth, we follow the same precedent by hearing what Jesus is saying to us through the voice of the Holy Spirit. We exercise His full authority by remaining under His authority. (Larry Burden will be speaking at Kingdom Congress March 6, 2020 at 11:00am.)

Simon Purvis — Just wanting Jesus to return and take up a sword to avenge is the thinking of people who do not believe the Gospel is powerful enough to change a nation. His sword comes out of His mouth and His Gospel is powerful enough to shake and change nations and bring His government order in the earth. His Kingdom is ever increasing and the government is upon His shoulders, and of the increase of his government and of peace there will be no end. The only one-world order coming is the Kingdom of God where Christ is King. The attempted one-world order that evil is trying to build, is just a carnal counterfeit to the real Kingdom of God coming to earth as in heaven. If My kingdom were of this world, then My servants would be fighting so that I would not be handed over to the Jews; but as it is, My kingdom is not of this realm.” Jesus said His kingdom comes to get into the hearts of men to govern them from the inside. The Kingdom of God within us brings His order to our life, to family, to finances, to business and to the Church. (Simon Purvis will be speaking at Kingdom Congress March 5, 2020 at 11:00am.)

Recently I was engaged in a heavy spiritual war. Historically, such wars would easily be handled by binding and loosing in the authority that God provides all believers. That said, this particular engagement was not responding to the normal warfare tactics that have served me well for many years. I soon realized I was in a spiritual conflict that was well above my pay grade to eradicate.
Because of this, I engaged in a fast-and-prayer season that lasted for months as I sought to determine what had engaged me so heavily. Finally, one early morning the Holy Spirit awakened me with a download of the spiritual situation I was experiencing. I am so thankful that when we call upon the Lord, He answers and reveals spiritual matters that are perplexing us (Jeremiah 33:3). After I wrote down each word I heard, I asked the logical question, “So, what do I do to turn this situation?” The answer followed, “Posture yourself in the Triumph that I Am.”
Once again, I hear the instruction regarding posture. However, this posturing was not physical but spiritual in nature. It was a clear directive to set my spirit and mindset in an attitude and unwavering faith of the triumph that Jesus IS! It speaks of strategic positioning much like a military tactic for the purpose of overtaking an enemy force. This was a word of God’s faith to me to rise above the conflict and be liberated from its intent to steal, kill, and destroy. The simple directive was to change my posture. —Larry Burden (Larry will be speaking at Kingdom Congress Mar.6 at 11:00am.)

The Kingdom of God is not just something we put on the list of “Things I Believe In,” but it is action–action in us and through us. The government of God (The Kingdom) is exercised through sons/daughters. It is somewhat like when James, in his epistle, said, “There are people going around talking about what faith they have. I will show you my faith by my works.” (Js.2:18) There were evidently people just wanting to impress others by merely talking about their belief concerning faith. Reading about faith in the Bible like the way James spoke of it and observing faith leads me to the conclusion that it might best be described as a verb (action) rather than a noun (person, place or thing). Just so, the Kingdom of God is best described as a verb (action) rather than as a noun. The Kingdom of God is the King acting through His authorized agents who release His governmental power in their sphere of authority.

(Larry Burden)– In Paul’s letter to Timothy, he instructs his son to “call to remembrance …” (2 Timothy 1:5) The words, “remembrance” and “remember” in scripture come from a root that means “recite or invoke”. Simply put, remembering results in action and as such becomes a power releaser in your life. If you rehearse a memory, you empower it! Scientific study has shown that whenever a thought or event occurs, it immediately is processed through a part of the brain known as “the memory gateway”. Each time you recall that thought or event it becomes more and more activated to the final point of becoming “set” in your mind. If you focus on negative thoughts and events, your words and emotions will become governed by negativity. If you focus on positive thoughts and events, then the opposite occurs. The good news is that whenever negative thoughts are revisited and truth is added to them, truth will SHIFT the mindset and alter your perception. It is called RENEWING YOUR MIND! (LARRY BURDEN)— The Passover was also important to Jesus because a divine shift was coming to the disciples in their relationship with the Father. In John 15: 15, Jesus told His disciples, “No longer do I call you servants, for a servant does not know what his master is doing; but I have called you friends, for all things that I heard from My Father I have made known to you”. The terminology identified a relational shift from that of servant-master to one of son-father. Up to the night of the Passover, the relationship of the disciples to Jesus had been strictly business. However, after the Passover meal, that changed! In the new covenant, the disciples were no longer held by the Father as servants, but sons! That night was a divine appointment that had been in the making before the beginning of time! (LARRY BURDEN is speaking at Kingdom Congress 2019.)

(SIMON PURVIS)— Before the fall, man was God-conscious and obedient to God. After the fall, man was self-conscious and running his own life. Receiving Christ and His government means I no longer run my own life. Apostolic doctrine lays a foundation of Christ in your life (Gal 1:4, “according to the will of our God and Father”), until you are not the focus of your life and you are free of the generation’s perverted and twisted thinking and pressure of being self-conscious. Galatians 1:4 does not say He forgave my sins so I would go to heaven when I die. It is part of the package to have a greater experience with Jesus when we die, but the Gospel of the Kingdom is that our lives have been part of a twisted, perverted, crooked thinking generation and the gospel confronts those mindsets to deliver us out of them.
