Gates and Safety
Gates And Safety (by Kathy Gabler). Sometimes a gate God builds is not a welcomed sight. It looks like a risk to us or a scary unknown. We feel like we have the option to decide to just stay safely within our fence and familiar boundaries. The problem is that if we ignore the gates, we are locking ourselves into tradition just like the Pharisees. We rarely see ourselves as Pharisees, but we too build personal traditions of men through the way we personally process instruction or the way we establish our own priorities or the way we come to our personal conclusions. Our thought processes and priorities and conclusions are filters that can literally keep us from hearing what God is saying and thereby keep us refusing to acknowledge the Holy Spirit’s direction in our daily life. So, “you make the word of God of none effect through your tradition, (KJV). And you ignore God’s commands in order to follow your own teaching. “(CEV) Mark 7:13

Has Come to Steal and Kill
MARTY GABLER—That depreciating disparager is a thief and has come “only to steal and kill and destroy (Jn.10:10).” His goal is to steal away a word, a hope, a dream or a vision that God has given. He would love for you to think it has been canceled or, at the very least, that you will have to settle for something less. You end up bedraggled, talking like, “It’s not going to be what I originally expected it would be but ‘many are the trials of the righteous’ and I’m just glad to know the Lord.” The detractor spirit finds many an ear willing to listen, willing to believe and willing to act on the altered information.
The thief will get us preoccupied with other people’s views of our relationship with God or their opinion of the likelihood of God’s promise coming to pass in us. He wants us totally dismayed with the time period between promise and fulfillment. Such a spirit readily points out failed relationships and failed attempts “to be a part of” so it appears that there is now a “blemish” on our calling. His memory works overtime reminding us of failed or unheeded opportunities. Hence, the implication of our being unworthy or unreliable as participants in any divine purpose.
If the detractor cannot knock you completely out of the race, he wants the wind and confidence knocked out of you so that your performance is hindered. It would be somewhat like a high performance racecar driver pulling in for a pit stop and saying, “Don’t put much gas in the tank and don’t put on any new tires because I don’t deserve it the way I’ve been driving.” Cf.”For no matter how many promises God has made, they are ‘Yes’ in Christ. And so through Him the ‘Amen’ is spoken by us to the glory of God. Now it is God who makes both us and you stand firm in Christ (2Co.1:20).” Never stop saying “Amen” to what God has said.

Who/What Are You Bowing Your Knee to?
MELISSA GABLER—The Holy Spirit presented this to me awhile back, “Either you are bowing your knee in awe and reverence to Me or you are bowing your knee in tolerance and submission to everything else.” How can we see miracles when we are bowing our knee to the impossibilities mounted against us? How can we leave a winning legacy when we count ourselves among the doomed statistics of disease and age and depletion and debt? It’s really starting to make sense why we have only seen glimpses of effectualness. So many have been under the control of the enemy who planted subtle deposits of fear for years through platforms to which we’ve given our trust and they didn’t work. But now it’s our time. We get to be alive for this! We get to be alive for the awakening and to bring the Kingdom to earth in ways we’ve never seen before.

He Redeems to Bring a Person Back to Their Path
MARTY GABLER—The “THY” of “Thy Kingdom” redeems a person, redeems a thing to bring them back to their path to God’s original intent (Kathy G.). Creation is groaning for the manifestation of the sons of God who will be manifest in the character of the “THY” of “Thy Kingdom” so that it can get back to its intended order. His character observed in His sons identifies them as His sons to people, to powers and to principalities. May we be so full of the character of this awesome “THY” that no demon ever need ask, “Jesus I know and Paul I know, but who are you?” (Acts 19:15; also Eph.3:10).

Breaking Down the Prophetic Lifestyle
MELISSA GABLER— Let’s break it down. The Prophetic lifestyle (spiritually minded) is based on realizing there is more going on than meets the eye. There is an unseen realm always present and in action in the midst of the seen realm. “For ever since the creation of the world His invisible attributes, His eternal power and divine nature, have been clearly seen, being understood through His workmanship [all His creation, the wonderful things that He has made], so that they [who fail to believe and trust in Him] are without excuse and without defense.” (Romans 1:20, AMP)
Human nature/soul (carnally minded) is largely based on the seen realm without much thought or regard for the unseen. “Now the mind of the flesh is death [both now and forever—because it pursues sin]; but the mind of the Spirit is life and peace [the spiritual well-being that comes from walking with God—both now and forever]; 7 the mind of the flesh [with its sinful pursuits] is actively hostile to God. It does not submit itself to God’s law, since it cannot,” (Romans 8:6-7). The word ‘carnal’ in vs. 6 – sarx (Greek) – literally means “human nature”. To be “human nature” minded is deadly? How so? Because human nature wants to be in charge — reasonable, logical and do it ourselves.
Human nature is carnally minded and operates in the seen realm which is based on man’s power, wisdom and experience. The Prophetic Lifestyle is spiritually minded and operates in the unseen and seen realm based on the wisdom and power of God for every situation. “If any of you lacks wisdom [to guide him through a decision or circumstance], he is to ask of [our benevolent] God, who gives to everyone generously and without rebuke or blame, and it will be given to him.” (James 1:5, AMP)

Gates and Traditions
KATHY GABLER—NEW GATES—Our traditions can be excess baggage that we have to unpack for the journey through a new gate. We need to unpack passionless pieces and old seasons and expired obediences, those acts that were once a mandate but lost their effectualness as times and circumstances changed. Israel had many parameters for sacrifice. They were all teaching-tools and types to anticipate and understand the coming Messiah. All their animal sacrifices were blood that was shed for an exemplary nation until the Christ would come to shed His blood for all mankind. An expired obedience would be to continue the ceremony after the type had been fulfilled. That translates in our day as expired legalisms that want to impose on us the traditions of men instead of the freedom of Christ, like trying to breed a red heifer or build another temple or enforce religious calendar activities again. When God provides a gate, expired goals won’t fit through it. (seecministries.org)

Seek Skillful and Godly Wisdom
MELISSA GABLER—This passage is a perfect tool for this time: Proverbs 2:3-6,Amp— 3 “Yes, if you cry out for insight, And lift up your voice for understanding; 4 If you seek skillful and godly wisdom as you would silver And search for her as you would hidden treasures; 5 Then you will understand the [reverent] fear of the Lord [that is, worshiping Him and regarding Him as truly awesome] And discover the knowledge of God. 6 For the Lord gives [skillful and godly] wisdom; From His mouth come knowledge and understanding”. Ask for insight and understanding and you will begin to awaken to the fear of the Lord. Then you will understand how to navigate through what is at hand and what is to come. This is our opportunity to demonstrate the Kingdom of God and leave an effectual legacy centered in the fear of the Lord. I’ve heard so many times over the last couple of years that revival is coming. Yes, revival is coming, and it will come through awakened people bowing their knee to the Almighty God.

Our Intervener
MARTY GABLER—This meme is actually from 2017 but tonight I am really needing to claim this word for now. This Intervener did so when He parted the Red Sea for the entire nation of Israel. He is the One I am claiming as my Intervener tonight. He will help us make it through the night time and again. He sent Jesus Christ as the Ultimate Intervener as He entered history to intervene for us all because we once were lost but now am found. What Kind of Man is This?
KATHY GABLER—They said of Jesus: “What kind of a man is this, that even the winds and the sea obey Him?” (Mt.8:27) This is the kind of man that exemplifies a son that creation groans for, the kind of man that believes God delegated authority to mankind in Genesis that is still in effect. Jesus lived as the kind of man that would overcome opposing circumstances and even natural boundaries to bring circumstances into alignment with God’s will, the kind of son who does what he sees the Father doing. We can do this. Dominion is doable.

A Kingdom Mentality
MARTY GABLER—Like Jesus, a Kingdom mentality puts us (1) where we are supposed to be, (2) knowing who we are, (3) what authority we have and (4) what we are supposed to be doing. Jesus did not allow evil to determine or alter His plans or actions. For some, being delivered from evil will be as simple as unembracing personal experience and embracing what God says you can be and what you can do. (Jn.18:37)

We Were Made to Advance
MELISSA GABLER—We were made to advance the Kingdom in this moment. We get to be alive to advance the Kingdom in this moment! God doesn’t do things by chance, He does them with intention. I say this to say, you have the eternal plan of God inside of you, all you need to do is walk it out. How do we walk it out? By relationship with our Father which solidifies our identity as a son or daughter made to manifest the dominion mandate.

Self-Sabotage
KATHY GABLER—Yes, the devil and self-sabotage are two different things. However, the devil LOVES stoking the flames of self-sabotage! All we have to do is let our fears and concerns fall out of our mouths like kindling for the enemy’s threatening bonfire. So many times we make the devil’s job so easy.

August is For Reassurance

Life’s Intention
MELISSA GABLER—The day resurrection power was unleashed on earth was the day our life’s intention was set in place. We were born to seek out the reality of heaven and live it here – “…seek and keep on seeking and you will find“ Matt. 7:7, “Your Kingdom come, Your will be done on earth as it is in heaven.” Matt. 6:10. Earth and the humans God placed in it were not a gamble that He hoped would work out in His favor. His fingers are not crossed. His ultimate plan has dominion in its DNA and that’s a ticking time bomb the enemy is trying to disarm. That ultimate plan is us, made in His image. The clock is ticking down to the enemy’s demise and that is why things are full on insane and only heating up.

Heat of Trials Makes it Tempting to Run
KATHY GABLER—If we study the progression of Romans 5:4, (trials then perseverance then character then hope), we begin to understand the real issues. Threshold wars are waged when the heat of trials gets our character to a red-hot blaze, like the point when metal can be changed and re-shaped. That is the point when the heat makes it tempting to quit and run to the nearest place of relief rather than complete the process by submitting to the Blacksmith’s hammer. So these wars are screaming the question while we’re in the heat of battle: “Will you do the right thing, let God change your heart and mind where necessary? Will you choose to respond to trials with wisdom and develop godly character; or will you remain the same person, refusing to be conformed to His image?” And our answer at this point will either propel us on to hope and toward promise, or cause us to fall short of hope and promise.
