Battle, Training, Equipping

Melissa—What I keep seeing is the last stretch of earning our stripes for, dare I say it, the battle ahead. There is battle coming, but our training and equipping is gearing us up to take it head on.  I just have such a sense that even though the battle will be hot we will experience it like Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego, “… saw these men, upon whose bodies the fire had no power, nor was an hair of their head singed, neither were their coats changed, nor the smell of fire had passed on them. Then Nebuchadnezzar spake, and said, Blessed be the God of Shadrach, Meshach and Abed-nego, who had sent his angel, and delivered his servants that trusted in him,” (Daniel 3:27-28). In order to be like these fire-walkers we need to stay in our lane so the finishing touches can be put in place.

Available to be Equipped to go Beyond

As the people of God assemble today may they put their hearts upon their Lord but CrowdWalkingbe aware of and available to be equipped for the great need beyond the four walls of the church building. May we see and embrace the desire of our Father’s creative heart for the advancement and benefit of His Kingdom in government, religion, arts and entertainment, family, education, science and technology, business and finance — and take His love, wisdom and solutions into those settings.

Mature Son Results

In my last SEEC Magazine article I talked about twenty being the biblical number for expectancy, the kind of expectancy that looking forwardcomes at the point when battles are finally won or preparation finally brings results or the point when process yields fruit or the point when equipping fulfills its purpose.  I believe the “20” in the coming year of 2014 re-emphasizes the focus on an expectation to see and walk in different results.  Of course, we have been in the 2000’s for 13 years already, but the 14 in 2014, adds the significance of a time coming when “as it is in heaven” processes come to completion and are unshakably established in our lives.  Putting all those concepts together raises my anticipation for the coming year, particularly concerning long term battles.  I have an expectation that the completion of spiritual, God-orchestrated processes is going to equip us as sons of God and equip us to get to mature son results.
