No Reason To Live A Lesser Version

people pointing upAs the people of God assemble today, may they realize there
is no reason for us to live a lesser version of what God
intended us to be. Let each of us provoke others to be
what they were born to be.

“….keep a firm grip on the faith. The suffering won’t last
forever. It won’t be long before this generous God who has
great plans for us in Christ—eternal and glorious plans
they are!—will have you put together and on your feet for
good. He gets the last word; yes, he does.” (1Pe.5:9b-11, Msg)

Exercise Without Pain

May you exercise without the pain of infirmities. May weaknesses
and restrictions be removed as you move and have your being in
Him. May you make progress beyond what the demographics for
your age suggest.

“For in Him we live, and move, and have our being. . .” (Acts 17:28)

Evidence Of What We Are Connected To

connected

There must be a connection to something beyond the “elemental things.”  Paul’s deep concern over the “elemental things” of Gal.4:3 is about the things of this present age which so occupy our minds and distract us from Father’s true character and purpose for His Kingdom. Those elemental things represent institutions, traditions and mindsets. “They are the elementary symbols of the law unable to justify” (Fausset). We easily connect to and identify with those things and then they get a hold on us which obligates us to their legalisms which we end up serving. If we speak, act and live like everyone else in this age we will get no different results than they get. What we do and the way we go about it; what we say and the results we get are evidence of what and who we have connected to.

Students Caring For One Another

students n buddies

May incidences of bullying and violence be at an all-time low
in this coming school year. May the need for campus security
police be at an all-time low. May there be great increase of
students respecting teachers and respecting fellow students
and caring for one another’s well-being.

Higher Than Religion

pruning vineJesus wanted to get His disciples connected to a higher source than the religion they had been stooped in. The legalism they had practiced could identify adherents but couldn’t produce fruit that witnessed to who the Father really is. The legalism was a witness to their personal determination but not to the character of the Father. The only thing their legalism communicated was that they were connected to a religion and its rules. Jn 15:8  “This is how my Father shows who he is–when you produce grapes, when you mature as my disciples.” (MSG) They had to be pruned back by the word of Jesus just so that they would be ready to bear good fruit (15:2).

Lord Keep Our Children And Teachers

School childrenMay the Lord God move by the power of His Word and His Spirit in schools across America in this school year. May He surround our children with His keeping power and may He raise up from them Daniels, Deborahs, Josephs and Davids who impact their environment for the saving of many.

May the Lord Most High keep His powerful hand upon our school teachers in this coming year. May He minister to them their importance in our culture and bless them for giving of themselves to our children. May He protect them and make them righteously effective beyond all logical measures for the children’s future and the future of our nation.

“…They are to give good counsel and be teachers of what is right and noble,” (Titus 2:3, Amp)

Accomplished Because Of Connection

vine grapes

Jesus got done what He got done because of His connection with the Father. He accomplished what He accomplished because of that connection. Jn 5:19  Jesus said to the Jews, “I can guarantee this truth: The Son cannot do anything on his own. He can do only what he sees the Father doing. Indeed, the Son does exactly what the Father does.” (GW)  The fruit of our lives is a witness of the connections we have made. In Jn.15:4 Jesus makes it plain that the only way a branch can produce fruit is to live in the vine, i.e., be properly connected.
