MELISSA — It really is an exciting time even though it may not look like it because we have entered a new era. Let’s look a little closer at what this means. Merriam Webster defines “era” as: “a memorable or important date or event, especially one that begins a new period in the history of a person or thing, a stage in development.” When I read this definition, that last part jumped off the screen, “a stage in development”. So, I looked up “development“: “1. An unfolding; the discovering of something secret or withheld from the knowledge of others; 2. The unraveling of a plot.” Oh my! We have been in the midst of an “unraveling plot” our entire lives! I am basing the time span of the past era on the life of Dr. Billy Graham. There were several words out there that the death of Dr. Graham would mark significant change, and that is when I knew we were truly in a new era. So, for most of us we have been in this “stage of development” all of our lives. God has been developing the Kingdom here on earth throughout the past era and we are about to see what He has been doing.
When Peter was in prison (Acts 12:7) he had been presented with a great opportunity to be introduced to the Book-of-Acts-norm. In reading that awesome book’s account of the early church, we cannot help but observe that God’s people had been ushered into a new era, an era in which they could fully expect to function in ways and means they had never seen the likes of. There are things, events and supply in Heaven that Father wants to get into the earth. But they are extraordinary by our standards and He is desiring cooperation from us “earthen vessels that the excellency of the power may be of God, and not of us.”
In the Bible, when a person or a nation received a breakthrough, when they began a new era, God was trying to tell them that they did not have to operate at the previous level. He was, through His Word and through their experiences, attempting to get across to them that they had come to a new norm. When we come to a new norm (or simply desire to) we would do well to realize that we must think differently and put effort into functioning differently.
Even while in the middle of the wilderness, Israel was on the verge of a new era. Yet, there weren’t any people walking around or gathering groups under a tree to listen to them preach about the new era that was being ushered in and that they should have hope and that they should give themselves wholeheartedly to it and, most certainly, no one had even announced a Countdown to Canaan Conference. Even without the thing being announced in bright lights, the new season was moving in upon them just the same. One factor we must always be aware of that can spawn disillusionment is when the proclaimers of new eras leave us with the assumption that it is going to be a “magic carpet ride”. We will not be able to simply go on about “business as usual” but must look for ways to adjust to what is coming and adjust and make preparations for what we are hoping will be.
We must reach up and get hold of God’s extraordinary which is more than a span of revival meetings that gives us temporary relief from the mundane. The mundane must be invaded in such a way that we do not simply return to it after a brief respite and after things are trying to sink back into “business as usual”.
Consider the nation of Israel when they were murmuring about the food situation in the wilderness in Exodus Chapter 16. That whole scenario was an opportunity for every person involved to stop, look and listen to what was transpiring and conclude that these were not just a series of events that were simply to be written down in a history book somewhere. When they woke up that first morning of the manna event they discovered something so extraordinary that they didn’t know what to call it. So, they ended up calling it “what is it?” (v.15). They, however, did not adjust to the new era and did not change their thinking and old habits. They continued trying to operate by old mindsets, did not heed the instructions of Moses and ended up with a smelly, undesirable mess (v.20). A new era cannot be new and cannot be the vehicle carrying us to new results if we intend operating in the mindsets of the old era. The never-before-experienced extraordinary of the new season turned to waste and to something that was untenable because the Israelites refused to operate by the tenets of the new (v.19). A new threshold serves little or no purpose if we have no intention of operating in the new with the respective new mindset. New eras are themselves announcements of new norms. There are some people who, throughout 2022, have tried to hold up the shield that quenches the fiery darts coming against them and their family and their church. But because of continued wearying circumstances, you have wearily lowered that shield and some of the darts and accusations have gotten through and done damage. Entering into 2023, you are getting that shield back up and into position by realizing and declaring, “But the Word of God says______.” As you quote the Word in the face of the incoming fiery darts, faith will begin to arise and you will, once again, lift the shield that quenches the darts. 2023 for you will be a season of quenching the fiery darts with the Word of faith. “Above all, take the shield of faith, with which you shall be able to quench all the fiery darts of the wicked.” (Eph.6:16)

Kathy—Our Battles this last year may have been physical or financial or attacks from people or harassment in circumstances or a siege of constant pressure. Whatever the conflict, I think battle-weariness sets in at the point there seems to be no let up, no end. Changelessness is exhausting. It can make us too tired to muster hope, but like David, that’s the time to talk to God openly. In Psalm 55, David told the Lord that he just wanted some peace and quiet, a walk in the country and a cabin in the woods. He told Him his heart was desperate for change (MSG). When we come to God in exhausted desperateness, He does not meet us there as a stonewall of resistance. That place of meeting with Him is a threshold, a starting place, a second wind. Just breathe.
The challenges of a new era require our speaking new language. A new culture with a new language has developed all around us in recent years leaving many of us unable to function profitably and threatening more incapabilities and fear of the future. That culture is the culture of technology. It affects us in every arena of life. People of God will learn the language of technology and not only profit from it as we go into the future but will be able to be successful in the purposes of God in that mission field.
As the people of God assemble today may the people of God yield to the Kingdom purposes of their Lord in this new era He is leading us into. May we yield to the adjustments and updates in our spiritual vision so that it may be broadened and more aware. May all hindrances and opposition be readily realized as challenges to overcome so that we may win the race. We declare that our present limitations are only present and not the future because we are being enlarged. Isa.54:2,TPT—““Increase is coming, so enlarge your tent and add extensions to your dwelling. Hold nothing back! Make the tent ropes longer and the pegs stronger.”
The people of God are His instruments that He is recalibrating to function effectively in a new era. When you have a rifle calibrated to hit a bull’s eye at 100 yards, you must recalibrate it if you are to enter an era of hunting at 200 yards. Entering this era, we will not wait until something happens to merely react, we shall see it at a distance and prepare. We have greater challenges ahead of us in the era that Holy Spirit has opened to us. We must lengthen our tent cords and stretch our curtains (Isa.54:2). Our satisfaction with the present view of limited horizons must give way to be broadened.
2021 Declaration #2. INTERCESSORS GOING TO WAR IN PRAYER WILL EXPOSE DANGER — Kid’s Version: We declare that God is giving secret missions to prayer warriors. On several occasions in the year to come there will be warnings and/or predictions about nationally impacting and dangerous events/circumstances that will be retracted because of intercessors going to war in prayer. There will be hints here and there of impending plans/dangers but God will show the intercessors through speaking to them, through visions, through dreams and types and shadows, and intercessors will be seeing clearer than they ever have. There will be a linking of intercessors in America, South America and Europe to a degree that there has not been heretofore. The body of Christ is moving from congregational to congressional, from priestly to kingly. We will not just be gathering but legislating in the atmosphere through prayers, declarations, decrees and prophecy. We must pray for the hand of the Lord to protect the water supply of cities and even nations. There will even be times we will have to pray for the waters to be healed. There will be times when wars will be fought over water supply. Esther 9:25, Amp — “But when it came before the king, he commanded in writing that Haman’s wicked scheme which he had devised against the Jews was to return on his own head, and that he and his sons should [endure what he planned for the Jews and] be hanged on the gallows.” (Brian and Hannah Sherman wrote the Kid’s Version.) ***You may read all the 2021 Declarations by CLICKING HERE. ***Marty will be leading us in prayer and declarations for our nation at Kingdom Congress 2021 Mar.3-5. As the people of God assemble today may they join hands and hearts and look toward the coming year with expectancy for the purposes of the Lord in each other and the victorious intervention of the Lord in their behalf. “Paul, Silvanus (Silas), and Timothy, to the assembly (church) of the Thessalonians in God the Father and the Lord Jesus Christ (the Messiah): Grace (spiritual blessing and divine favor) to you and [heart] peace.” (1Thess.1:1, Amp)
God’s Plan and Opposition Does God’s plan or purpose ever change? When His Word does not come to pass within a timeframe or in a manner that our expectancies are the most comfortable with, is it OK to just give up and give in and go along with whatever people perceive will get us all back to being close to normal?
Melissa — I am writing this during the pandemic between Palm Sunday and Easter of 2020, on the day before Passover.I have to say, I have been hearing about awakening coming for a while now but had no idea it was going to look like this. This is… well, it’s an interesting, mysterious, exciting and epic time to be alive. How should I describe it? It’s like being in one of those super deep naps where dreams seem like reality, and when the alarm goes off it’s almost painful and confusing. It’s that kind of nap where it takes a minute to not only regain consciousness, but you have to decipher what was the dream and what is real. This is the best way I know how to describe this awakening. I think I thought it was mainly going to be people waking up to God and looking for Him, and we would all be ready to introduce them. Well, I was a tad off. This thing is definitely beyond my logic and realm of standard operation. So, here’s to waking up to this exciting and epic time!
Melissa — We are in the midst of a seriously sobering season. We are in the thick of the increase of His perpetually increasing government (Isaiah 9:7). Awakening won’t be limited to the American church’s view of what it should look like to be most effective. Awakening is going to seep through the cracks in the foundation of the American church and reform it. Awakening brings reformation. We better be ready for awakening to bring some shock and awe too! It is shameful even to talk about the things that ungodly people do in secret. But their evil intentions will be exposed when the light shines on them, (Eph. 5:12-13 NLT) This awakening is going deep. It’s going to shed light on things that have been going on under our noses but we haven’t seen it because we have been asleep. It will be shocking, but that is why reformation comes with it. Reform will deal with evil. (Melissa is speaking at KC2020 Mar.5, 10:00am)

When you have a rifle calibrated to hit a bull’s eye at 100 yards, you must recalibrate it if you are to enter an era of shooting at 200 yards. Jahweh is raising up His church in this new era. He is raising up His church to transform nations over night. We are getting past religious ineffectiveness and a defeated sense of eschatology and coming to Zion, to the place of the throne of God which is a place of power and dominion. Perhaps we should rehearse John’s exhortation to us that “…as He [JESUS] is, so are we in this world.” (1Jn.4:17) It would then follow that our Lord JESUS IS sitting on the right hand of the throne of Almighty God in the heavenly places (1:20) and that we, like Him, are also sitting with Him [authoritatively positioned] in heavenly places in Christ (2:6). Therefore, there should be authority, power and dominion displayed such as it was when JESUS was on the earth, especially since it is the determined will of God to now show His multi-layered, redemptive wisdom to powers and principalities through the church (Eph.3:10).
