August is for God’s Fire to Burn

The month of AUGUST IS FOR GOD’S FIRE TO BURN the worthless things we have incorporated into our values, beliefs and practices; things that have been separated from the pure by His winnowing fork will burn. The fire burns what the sifting has made manifest so that the pure wheat, without mixture, may be profitable for the Master’s use. “He comes with a winnowing fork in his hands and comes to his threshing floor to sift what is worthless from what is pure. And he is ready to sweep out his threshing floor and gather his wheat into his granary, but the straw he will burn up with a fire that can’t be extinguished!” (Matt.3:12,TPT)

Wheat and Tares at War

(Jim Hodges) One of the main points in the parable of the wheat and tares is that the tares are not removed until they mature while mixed in with the wheat.  Attempts to remove the tares from the wheat during growth will destroy the harvest.  So, in history, wheat or sons of the Kingdom grow together simultaneously with the tares or sons of the evil one.  They are occupying the same earth and they are at war because of two different agendas.  That is the basic reason that becoming a son or daughter of God is signing up for conflict.  Peace only comes by winning the conflict, not just tolerating the enemy.  The time for removing the tares is when they fully manifest what they are, like Jesus cast out devils when they manifested.  (Hear Jim Hodges (fmci.org) at Kingdom Congress 2018 March 7-9.) Out of the Sifter

SiftAsWheatThough some irresistible gravity be pulling on us to suck us down that abysmal “sifter” (Lk.22:31), our Lord has prayed for us and we can endure to the end and be saved (Matt 24:13). Jesus was so certain Peter could endure that He said, “And WHEN you have turned back, strengthen your brothers.” (Lk 22:32, NIV) Cf. Therefore He is able also to save forever those who draw near to God through Him, since He always lives to make intercession for them (Heb. 7:25, NAU; also Rom 8:27, 34). Though the temptation is to draw away from God and the fellowship of the saints when we fail, it is obvious from the book of Hebrews that those who are saved are those who draw near to God through Him. The concern Jesus has is not only to see you and I turned back to purpose and productivity but that we might strengthen others to do likewise. While we acquiesce to the pain of our failures and disillusionment and award ourselves precious time to lick our wounds, the strengthening of others simply gets put on hold.

One Grain But Much Fruit

grain of wheat

“Truly I say to you that UNLESS a grain of wheat falls into the earth and dies…”(Jesus speaking in Jn.12:24) This particular Grain of Wheat had a choice as to whether or not He would die and go into the earth. Knowing what was coming, He said to the Father, “yet not my will, but yours be done.”(Lk.22:42) He was willing! Because this Grain would not “remain alone”: v.24 “if it dies, it bears much fruit.” Those redeemed by the shed blood of Jesus are His fruit. We are His message, His living letters (2Co.3:3) that He has sent into the future. He rose, He lives and His fruit (His message to this generation) will show Him and His resurrection to the world by the power of His Spirit. He was willing to die to bear much fruit and His resurrection enables us to live to bear much fruit.

Removing Tares

pull weedsIt is interesting to note scholars report that women and children were typically the ones who separated the tares from the wheat. It has already been noted that the tares can cause adverse symptoms, even death. The harvest of wheat would be worthless to the master of the field if it were discovered that there were any darnel (tares) in it. Yet, the women and children were called upon to remove the dangerous product. The women and children in this time of history and in this culture represent unskilled labor. Yet, they are the ones who are able to take care of business. In other words, that is how simple and easy it is to remove tares from our lives, our churches and our nation if we so desire they be removed. It doesn’t take any skill nor any great strength to remove tares so that the harvest is once again valuable. But the remaining factor is: the tares must be removed before the harvest is valuable and usable.

* I declare that the harmful, labor-intensive tares are being dealt with first in our individual lives and in the church and in the nation.

Time For Harvest

I declare that it is time for harvest in our lives, our churches and in our nation. It is time for harvest of that which has been long awaited–the victories that our Lord has been cultivating in us during times of trial, harvestpressing onward and endurance. We have not faced what we have faced and wrestled with what we have wrestled with and stood through testing for nothing. God has plowed and planted His Word into our lives. He has used people, circumstances and time to work His character into our lives. It will all yield its harvest in this age before the coming of our Lord. All the afore mentioned factors have been growing and maturing in us for a harvest that brings glory to Jehovah in this earth.

Tares And Wheat

Wheat_TaresIn prayer the Lord gave me three things to share and a declaration for each. They are 1.) Tares and Wheat, 2.) Calling Things That Are Not and 3.) Incremental Change.

Tares And Wheat–When this subject is approached, it will likely be for the purpose of discussing eschatology. However, there is a principle here that we need to take a closer look at that could be advantageous to us well before the end of this age. It could even determine how some come to that end time in matters of preparedness. There are principles in Scripture that will help us well on our way to victory if we will take note of the priority and order they show us.

Mat 13:30  “Allow both to grow together until the harvest; and in the time of the harvest I will say to the reapers, “First gather up the tares and bind them in bundles to burn them up; but gather the wheat into my barn.” (NASB)
