MELISSA–It’s been something else the last month or so! There have been many calls, reports and instances that could keep one in the prayer closet 24/7 (let alone what’s going on nationally). It’s one of those moments that, while feeling bombarded, you realize there are many feeling the same way so there must be something bigger afoot. If you are nodding your head in agreement right now I would just like to encourage you. In the middle of a rather intense evening recently my mom said, “This is a threshold war.” That was the hammer that struck the gong right there! I then saw me and my family pushing through a clear membrane into a new place. Then around 3:00AM the next morning, I woke up and kept hearing, “You are there.” The only thing left was writing on the wall! We are at a new threshold! Kathy — Being quick to put our expectations and definitions on a word from God can set us up for disappointment, because we know in part. We must allow God to define terms and add parts. Through the process we more fully understand what He said up front. So, no matter how contradictory or upsetting a part might seem, we can rest assured when all the parts finally come together, God’s intent and purpose will prevail. Isa.46:10, TPT — “I declare from the beginning how it will end and foretell from the start what has not yet happened. As long as there are a people who feel they have their “ticket stamped” to go to a “much better place,” there will be no reform of what they deem to be merely an exit platform, rather than a Kingdom mandate (cf.Jn.20:21;Lk.9:2;Jn.16:7). If the departure platform is somewhat rickety, people will just try to stand still and hope the train out of there arrives soon. With such a view, no one reforms or rebuilds the platform; they simply grip what is available to grip and hope to be off of it as soon as possible. The emphasis today upon the sudden coming of the Lord isn’t about Him, it is about us. The religious pundits pounding their pulpits exclaiming the quick return of our Lord are getting hearty (and well financed) “Amens!” in response to their promises of sudden escape from disappointments, rudely jostled comfort zones and nerve-racking prognostication. We have been taught by pop-theology to use faith for immediate relief, not long-term endurance, not long-term results (Heb.11:13 does not figure into Esau’s demands for immediate relief).The Esau mindset of blowing off the coming generations and spending what you’ve got on relief for the present generation flies well in today’s skies. Joseph did not get immediate results (or relief) after his prophetic dream and prophetic pronouncement. He and Daniel and Esther were sent ahead to “preserve a posterity,” “continue a remnant” and “save lives.” (Gen.45:7 Amplified) Joseph stood and stood and took ground “until the Word of the Lord proved him” and he was not proven to guarantee him plenty of airtime and notoriety but for the survival of a nation (Ps.105:18). He was not dealt the luxurious right of faith for immediate relief or escape. (MELISSA)— As of late my meditation topic has been Trust. You know: “reliance on the integrity, strength, ability, surety, etc., of a person or thing; confidence.” (dictionary com) It should be a natural byproduct of being a believer. I thought so until God asked me if I trusted Him. Of course… wait, do I?! That’s an answer I thought was sure at this point in my life. The amazing thing is in that moment, trust made sense for the first time. All of a sudden there was a relief in my core that I’m not sure I have ever felt. Without Him saying a word, there was an understanding that actually trusting God meant to actually let go of needing to know the process of getting to an answer.(MELISSA will be hosting, leading worship and speaking at Kingdom Congress March 1-3, 2023)
MELISSA— Have you ever had times when a revelatory nugget pops up, then within days you hear the same nugget from other sources? That’s been happening as of late and I’m learning to pay attention to those! Following is one such instance that has been not only ringing in my ear, but answering some of those seemingly unanswerable questions.While in conversation this was quoted to me from a book, “God hides some things for specific times so that the enemy cannot destroy them.” That stuck with me, and a couple of days later I read a quote from someone else that was expressing the exact same thought! Well, that really hit me between the eyes, especially because these came from trusted sources. It was an “Are you listening?” moment. I began meditating on God hiding something for a specific time, and it felt like this statement began filling cracks in my understanding. If God cloaks something for a time, it is not only to hide it from the devil and his destructive minions, but it is also to hide it from our own self-sabotage. Yes, the devil and self-sabotage are two different things. However, the devil LOVES stoking the flames of self-sabotage! All we have to do is let our fears and concerns fall out of our mouths like kindling for the enemy’s threatening bonfire. If your answer is hidden, ask God what the right question is in this moment. Ask Him what, in you, might be hindering the answer. Ask Him what you need to know today. He’s got plans for you, He is not into punishing you. His M.O. is all about forgiveness, redemption, relationship, and promotion all for His glory. Hey, if He tells you it’s simply about timing then it’s really that simple. His timing is perfect. Look at the birth and life of Samuel. Perseverance is key! It’s going to be an amazing year. Melissa–Sitting here I keep hearing, “Of the increase of His government and peace there shall be no end” [Isaiah 9:7] This is not only a beloved Christmas time chapter, it is also laying out original intent. Looking up the word ‘government’ leads to this, Of the increase of His ‘dominion’ there shall be no end. Ever-increasing dominion is quite a powerful force! When I look at Isaiah 9 like that I just don’t think the plan is to keep cycling back around to needing revivals like we’ve known them in our lifetime. I say this for anyone who may be struggling with the term “revival” like I have. It can’t be about a formula, it has to be about the King’s dominion increasing during our lifetime. Dr. Greg Crawford—[In January Dr. Crawford had a prophetic vision while he was meditating on many things concerning the life of the Body of Christ, the disconnected ones, the order needed, the power required, and he was seeking asking God what will it take to align and re-order all of this to your intention. I saw wave upon wave of authority being released upon the earth, as another part of the order and path of God was being found and walked. The more this repeated the stronger the sound and the order became. Dr. Don Crum–The woman with the issue of blood in Mark 5 reached through that thin veil that separates the earthly from the heavenly.Heaven is not a faraway place, but rather a whole other dimension within close proximity to where we are in the earthly realm.When Jesus healed or delivered, He often made an important announcement, saying, “Behold, the kingdom of heaven has come upon you or near you”.So I think heaven is not a distant place but right on the other side of a thin veil that separates the earthly from the heavenly.This lady reached through that thin veil with her desperate faith, right into the heavenly dimension of God and laid hold of a stick of spiritual dynamite, lit the fuse with her fiery passion and pulled it into her circumstance, where it exploded and annihilated her disease.It completely went away that day because she pulled a stick of God’s dynamite into it!

Larry Burden — Bitter roots are defined as sinful reactions to painful events. The events, themselves, do not cause the root. The reaction to the events is at the core of the bitter root. Bitter roots express themselves as condemning judgments of people or the refusal or inability to forgive those who have hurt us. They manifest as names or careless words that we have either thought about, called others, or said about the ones who have hurt us. They are powerful toxic pollutants that damage and defile our souls and others around us as well. In response to hurts, wounds, or painful events, we express condemning judgments. We may try to push down the hurts, rationalize them, blow them off, or simply just pass them off as no big deal. But they are big deals! Over time these seeds of bitterness will build a root system and, if left unchecked, become the driving force of our personality, manifesting such things as: Cynicism, Apathy, Negativity and more.(LARRY BURDEN will be speaking at Kingdom Congress 2022 March 2-4. Kathy—Transition and change and growth and maturity can feel as drastic and unsettling as war; and the long-standing plans and purposes of God for our generation involve transition and change and growth and maturity. Our goal is NOT to change for change’s sake, but to obey God and let the word of God have effect. If traditions of men are challenged, let them fight for themselves. When Gideon tore down the altar of Baal, the men of the city said to his father, “Bring out your son that he may die, for he has torn down the altar of Baal!” But his dad said, “Are you Baal’s deliverers? If he is a god, let him contend for himself! If any traditions of men prove to be God-ordained, they will live. Meanwhile let’s not be distracted from obedience to give them CPR or keep them on a breathing machine. We can pray for discernment and wisdom so that we can cut through the fog of emotions and opinions that arise during transition and change and growth and maturity and war. God’s wisdom will keep us from standing against the changes that He is bringing to His church and our lives. Melissa Gabler — A reminder for 2021: don’t forget that a lot of what you are dealing with personally, whether it be physically or emotionally, may be the war in the atmosphere. We have the authority to say “peace” because we are His agents. When our Lord told the storm to “be still” the atmosphere listened. We carry that same authority and it is our job to change the atmosphere during our lifetime. So, the next time you are dealing with something personally let your first reaction be to remember there is so much more going on around you than your eyes can see.
