Transition and Change

KG Brenham 1-31-21bKathy—Transition and change and growth and maturity can feel as drastic and unsettling as war; and the long-standing plans and purposes of God for our generation involve transition and change and growth and maturity. Our goal is NOT to change for change’s sake, but to obey God and let the word of God have effect.  If traditions of men are challenged, let them fight for themselves.  When Gideon tore down the altar of Baal, the men of the city said to his father, “Bring out your son that he may die, for he has torn down the altar of Baal!”  But his dad said, “Are you Baal’s deliverers?  If he is a god, let him contend for himself!  If any traditions of men prove to be God-ordained, they will live.  Meanwhile let’s not be distracted from obedience to give them CPR or keep them on a breathing machine.  We can pray for discernment and wisdom so that we can cut through the fog of emotions and opinions that arise during transition and change and growth and maturity and war.  God’s wisdom will keep us from standing against the changes that He is bringing to His church and our lives.  Jam. 1:5  “But if any of you lack wisdom, you should pray to God, who will give it to you; because God gives generously and graciously to all.” (GNB)

Mindsets and Transition

Kathy — I believe we are in a transition moving from a religious mindset that views church as meetings that satisfy an obligation to God to realizing we are all sons of God gathering to be effectual, by living our lifetime demonstrating His Kingdom come and will being done on earth as it is in heaven. This is not a new transition. It’s just a time of greater momentum with more obvious results and changes. The yeast is spreading, permeating our understanding. (Matt. 13:33)
So many challenges church leaders are facing are signals of how much this transition is needed: finances decreasing, the same number of broken families in church as out, local churches losing respect and influence in the community and people losing motivation to be a part of the local church. Rather than be discouraged, we can take these things as a sign that this is time to take new ground. If we will move from traditional expectations and limitations to sonship, we’ll move into the empowerment of relationship where people are no longer just members of a church but Sons of God gathering to strengthen and equip and be enabled to serve their place of purpose and calling in life.

Transition Into New Norms

BreakthroughwallI have sensed for several months that the Body of Christ is in an important time of transition into new norms.  One of the new norms I believe we can expect is strategic dreams that equip us for the purposes of God.  I consider strategic dreams to be those timely telegrams that confirm direction or give instruction or release insight and understanding for a mandate and call to action.—Kathy Gabler    (Kathy will be speaking at the DREAMS VISIONS PROPHECY CONFERENCE 2019  today, Sept.14 at 10:30am)

Transition and the Unveiling Process

As the people of God assemble today, may they realize that we are not through transitioning. In fact biblical principle, according to Phil 1:6, proclaims that as long as we are in this present age the transitioning to His Image will continue. “{For I am} confident of this very thing, that He who began a good work in you will perfect it until the day of Christ Jesus.” (NAS) If God is going to complete the work He has begun in us that means transition, it means process; it means a proceeding word from God that takes an unveiling process. May the people of God encourage one another that the fruit and the benefit are worth the process.

Future Beyond the Cocoon

ButterflyCocoonIt is a well known fact that it will cripple a butterfly if, for any reason, their cocoon is opened prematurely.  It’s essential that they stretch and strain and develop through their tough place in order to have the strength it takes to fly in the future.  If we don’t, for some reason, process through our tough places we won’t have the character, changes, revelation, stamina, skills and strength that we need for our future.  Cocoons are simply not optional, process is key to change and growth.  If you are in one of your life-cocoons right now, be it physical, mental, circumstantial, relational or financial, oxygen and change and resolve are reachable.  Be encouraged, you do have a future beyond it.
