Kathy — Having a cracked self-image, a shattered self-worth or a failed self-government, does not void our Father’s love or intent, nor His good plans for us! If we learn to think in our hearts like that, that truth will free us up to walk in destiny and keep us from giving up before we become all God had in mind that we were born to be. Father, may my life glorify you to the fullest extent. Let me see me as You see me. Cause me to value as You value. Grace me to live honoring Your boundaries for my life. May I live in the truth and may it be not only my freedom, but also my legacy.

Melissa — We meditate on God’s will, His original intent for this earth. We stop fixating on the enemy’s war around us by realizing his war has intensified because he is feeling the pressure of this never-ending Kingdom in Luke 1. We turn our thoughts toward that powerful fact. We engage in power, love, and a sound mind by dumping fear-thoughts that have wreaked havoc (2 Timothy 1:7). This is all possible in our lifetime! “Keep a cool head. Stay alert. The Devil is poised to pounce, and would like nothing better than to catch you napping. Keep your guard up. You’re not the only one plunged into these hard times. It’s the same with Christians all over the world. So keep a firm grip on the faith. The suffering won’t last forever. It won’t be long before this generous God who has great plans for us in Christ—eternal and glorious plans they are!—will have you put together and on your feet for good. He gets the last word; yes, He does.” (1 Peter 5:8-11, The Message)

Kathy — I sat alone downstairs at the piano, not really playing any particular song but simply flowing in sounds that came with His presence. I did not intend to sing but these words slipped out of my heart, “You are the Lord of this moment.” As soon as my words met the air, like an echo response I heard, “AND THE MOMENT BEFORE.” I could not have explained the sudden weeping had anyone overheard it, for it was a gusher from my heart outside my logic or understanding. Then when my understanding did open, the weeping would not stop. Though I didn’t realize it, that worshipful, prophetic declaration was also a cry from my heart for a moment of comfort and quietness that would shut out all the noise of need and concern and “what-ifs.” The awesome Spirit of my God did not miss nor ignore that heart-cry. If desperation had my ship listing, His four word echo set me aright. If anxiety was smothering, His words brought me a deep breath. If time was threatening, His words turned the clock back. If I feared I was at an unchangeable end, hope took me back to a new beginning. He was reminding me that before circumstances piled up, before dysfunction developed, before trouble troubled, He had seen it coming, and He had the table set for me
before my enemies even got there. It was a powerful reminder that His provision is there before the problem.
As the people of God assemble today may they call upon the name of God Most High knowing that there is no limitation with Him and He gives abundantly. Eph.3:20,Amp — “Now to Him who is able to [carry out His purpose and] do superabundantly more than all that we dare ask or think [infinitely beyond our greatest prayers, hopes, or dreams], according to His power that is at work within us,”
May we see the hand of God Almighty moving everywhere we look today. May we see His possibilities. May we consider the supremacy and viability of His Word in each situation and declare that supremacy and viability. Ps.119:160, TPT — “The sum total of all your words adds up to absolute truth, and every one of your righteous decrees is everlasting.”
As the people of God assemble today may they appreciate, give themselves fully to and lean heavily upon the mind of Christ to be and do what the sons/daughters of the Kingdom are mandated to do in this present world to the glory of the name of the King of Kings. 1Cor.2:16–“….But we have the mind of Christ.”
May the Lord break you loose from the past limitations of your family, even from many generations past. May you and your seed far surpass the deeds and accomplishments of your former generations so that the Lord is known as Almighty God to you and yours now, and in time to come. ”For the Lord is good; his mercy is everlasting; and his truth endureth to all generations.” (Ps.100:5, KJV)

By Kathy G. — Some cocoons (entrapped, tough times in life) are common for many people, but we also have our customized cocoons, those tough times that are unique to us. These come from matters that need resolve in our soul, like you may be having to work on a relationship that was damaged by jealousy or fear or anger. Or you may be having to deal with problems you inherited, ongoing battles from choices made four generations ago. Perhaps your forerunners didn’t choose life and blessings and it caused them to end up with a view of marriage that’s bound to fail. So the next generation has to work through the trickle-down issues of divorce. Or a generation made wrong career choices and bankrupted the whole family causing poverty conditions and limitations for decades. Or a generation chose death and curses, deciding to be lawless, and the ripple effect undermined character to the point that a family or community or culture is cocooned in corruption. Can our struggles really be related to our purpose and our future when we can’t see any connection to either? We need to CHOOSE LIFE and bring CHANGE in our lifetime, and even expect change to ripple back to the previous generation.
May we quickly allow Holy Spirit to reason with us when we get over into a mentality of frustration and anger, and when we begin to express views and attitudes that aren’t even reasonable. May we seek and find His help in a timely fashion so that we may come to a godly solution before we cause ourselves, or others, unnecessary difficulties. Js.1:5,Amp—“If any of you lacks wisdom [to guide him through a decision or circumstance], he is to ask of [our benevolent] God, who gives to everyone generously and without rebuke or blame, and it will be given to him.”
Melissa — Hey, you can fast fear! It’s true! Set your mind to it and watch how aware you become of fear in your life. It’s amazing how interwoven that stinker is. But when you become aware, you can do something about it. You can take your rightful place in the driver’s seat by forcing fear out. Ask the Holy Spirit to point it out, then you replace it with truth. You replace fear with God’s original intent for your life, thoughts of peace to give you an expected end (Jer. 29:11). This is not necessarily an overnight change, it takes time. It’s a process well worth it, but you can still be an agent of change in the middle of your process. How? By listening to the Father and doing/saying what He tells you. Ps.56:3-4,TPT–” But in the day that I’m afraid, I lay all my fears before you and trust in you with all my heart. 4 What harm could a man bring to me? With God on my side, I will not be afraid of what comes. The roaring praises of God fill my heart as I trust his promises.
Melissa G.) “And be not conformed to this world: but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind, that ye may prove what is that good, and acceptable, and perfect, will of God.” (Romans 12:2) That’s a Change-Agent’s life right there. We PROVE the good, acceptable and perfect will of God. How? By changing our thought habits. We meditate on God’s will, His original intent for this earth.
As the people of God assemble today may they be assured that the present facts they are dealing with in their lives, their family and the nation do not get to dictate the future. The present facts are not the end of the story. Jer.29:11, “For I know the plans I have for you, declares the Lord, plans for welfare and not for evil, to give you a future and a hope.”
Melissa — How do you know if what you are hearing is God? Well, does it line up with His word? For instance, murder and adultery… not God! Also, He trains you to hear Him. “The hearing ear, and the seeing eye, the Lord hath made even both of them.” (Proverbs 2:12) Sometimes we train ourselves to ignore the prophetic lifestyle because we don’t want to be weird. This really is an epic life we are meant to live — not fairytale or fantasy, but epic. Why epic? Unlike fairytale or fantasy that denote magic, rainbows and butterflies, and other-worldly superhumans, “epic” denotes work, grit, fight, humans living their destiny and winning. So, don’t ignore His training. Don’t ignore that relationship.
God will take us through stages to develop in us a hearing ear and an obedient tongue. God is so faithful to His plan that He will not omit any of the stages of development. Sometimes each stage takes a different amount of time in one person as compared to another but He is faithful to take each of us through each stage until He has formed useful vessels. (Jer.18:2-4)
Kathy — Psalm 139:16 (Paraphrased): “When I had not yet existed for even one moment, I was commissioned by God’s purpose. Before I was even wrapped as an embryo in my mother’s womb I was marked and approved by God’s eternal wisdom and greatness.” As surely as we were in the womb being transformed to come forth as a living being, reflecting the likeness of our natural fathers, we are in “cocoons” in life being transformed to reflect the likeness and character of our heavenly Father. What I mean by “cocoons” in life is the tough, tight places in life, times when we are caught in a web of circumstances or conditions that have us troubled, barely able to breathe and can’t see a way out. In “cocoon times”, we can either walk in faith and keep doing what we know to do and realize God is going to utilize it for our growth and development, or we can try to run and escape . . . maybe for an entire lifetime. Or we can take a machete to the thing, pitch a fit and tear up jack! (Of course that very rarely fixes real-life situations and usually makes them worse!) The bottom line is we only do damage when we refuse to change as needed.
Melissa — Ah, life! One minute everything is cruising right along, we’re on top of the world creating Facebook pages, writing books and making T-shirts to declare our life message to the world. The next thing you know… straight down at 100mph. Stinking roller coasters! They click right along at a nice pace and there is usually a great view to behold, then all of a sudden your stomach is in your throat. There was never a promise that life would be smooth sailing and easy. “Consider it a sheer gift, friends, when tests and challenges come at you from all sides. You know that under pressure, your faith-life is forced into the open and shows its true colors. So don’t try to get out of anything prematurely. Let it do its work so you become mature and well-developed, not deficient in any way.” James 1:2-4 (MSG) The ebbs and flows of a God-centered life are required for God’s original intent to take form.
Kathy — Self-government keeps us from agreeing with powers of darkness that use emotions. Self-government keeps us from spiritual wickedness in high places that influences thoughts. The beginning basics are (1) we have to know right to recognize wrong and (2) we have to choose right to defeat wrong. Consistently choosing right is the pulse of self-government.
As the people of God assemble today they must beware of reaching a point where they are merely dwelling on just the present facts. “Such and such” circumstances/factors may be the present facts but they are not the conclusion of the matter. In the Bible, present facts and final conclusions always looked very different from one another. Phil.1:6 — “I am convinced and confident of this very thing, that He who has begun a good work in you will [continue to] perfect and complete it until the day of Christ Jesus [the time of His return].”
What are you willing to pay for immediate relief? Israel desired to return to slavery after being freed at their own request (Ex.3:7,9). The main concern was immediate relief. Esau was hungry, so he traded his birthright for immediate relief. We may find it necessary to deal with a rumbling stomach or uncomfortable surroundings for a period of time to get to promise. Ex.3:7-9, Amp – “The Lord said, “I have in fact seen the affliction (suffering, desolation) of My people who are in Egypt, and have heard their cry because of their taskmasters (oppressors); for I know their pain and suffering. 8 So I have come down to rescue them from the hand (power) of the Egyptians, and to bring them up from that land to a land [that is] good and spacious, to a land flowing with milk and honey [a land of plenty]—to the place of the Canaanite, the Hittite, the Amorite, the Perizzite, the Hivite, and the Jebusite. 9 Now, behold, the cry of the children of Israel has come to Me; and I have also seen how the Egyptians oppress them.”
Kathy — Since God in His wisdom is never just developing a ministry, He is more importantly processing the character of His children. TIMING is both about answering prayer building relationship character in the Pray-er. TIMING is about God intricately working and making progress in people circumstances to manifest His answer. Therefore we dare not become weary in well doing fail to ask, seek knock.Gal.6:9, TPT — “And don’t allow yourselves to be weary or disheartened in planting good seeds, for the season of reaping the wonderful harvest you’ve planted is coming!”
Kathy — While intercessors should not sweat the small things, neither should we ignore them. The Word tells us to consider the impact of small things like the small rudder that directs a huge ship. Again in Zech. 4:10, we are admonished not to despise small beginnings because their impact will be big in future. Many times intercessory dreams and visions and impressions seem faint or small, yet they actually carry insights that prove crucial or huge down the road.
