Melissa — There are things that can be “game-changers” in the remaining days of this year. One “game-changer” can be our letting this be the year of realization. Yes, you are healed… there it is. Yes, you are delivered from chronic issues and habits… there it is.Yes, God’s promise is still intact… there it is. Yes, you have a role in 2021… there it is. No, you are not out of His reach… there He is.
Darkness, huge crashing waves and dangerous high winds were life-threatening factors pressing upon the disciples and rocketing fear and dread to heights they had never known. They were panicking because, if the present unconventional factors continued, they and their boat would go to the bottom of the lake. Initially, Jesus had told His disciples to go to the other side of the lake (Matt.14:22-27). At first, they were probably focused on their Lord’s instruction and enthused about following those instructions. They likely had a point of destination in their minds and could see it with the mind’s eye as they planned their route and even had a spot in mind to tie up their boat when they landed. But, en route, unconventional elements interjected themselves and the disciples were forced into an entirely different form of effort in which they could no longer see the conventional path or destination. They could only focus on immediate surroundings and attempts at survival. We must beware of reaching a point at which we are merely dwelling on just the facts. Focus on present circumstances and abandoning “the other side” and abandoning instructions or putting them on hold, will take the heart out of us which is a must-have factor in getting us beyond the choking grip of present factors. These may be the present facts but they are not the conclusion of the matter. In the Bible, present facts and final conclusions always looked very different from one another.

Chaos represents utmost impossibility to man and covers him with hopeless despair where he is willing to lay down his beliefs and former commitments so that he may gain some semblance of comfort in spite of the dreaded disorder (“Chaos”: a disorderly, confused, condition or state). Throughout history there have been perpetrators of confusion who have, for the purpose of control, attempted to throw the populace into confusion in order to coerce them into turning over their freedom for relief. LARRY BURDEN — The Passover was also important to Jesus because a divine shift was coming to the disciples in their relationship with the Father. In John 15:15, Jesus told His disciples, “No longer do I call you servants, for a servant does not know what his master is doing; but I have called you friends, for all things that I heard from My Father I have made known to you”. What is going on is that what can be shaken is being shaken until all that is left standing is an unshakeable Kingdom (Heb.12:27). As long as there are a people who feel they have their “ticket stamped” to go to a “much better place,” there will be no reform of what they deem to be merely an exit platform (cf.Jn.20:21;Lk.9:2;Jn.16:7). If the departure platform is somewhat rickety, people will just try to stand still and hope the train out of there arrives soon. With such a view, no one reforms or rebuilds the platform; they simply grip what is available to grip and hope to be off of it as soon as possible. The emphasis today upon the sudden coming of the Lord isn’t about Him, it is about us. The religious pundits pounding their pulpits exclaiming the quick return of our Lord are getting hearty (and well financed) “Amens!” in response to their promises of sudden escape from disappointments, rudely jostled comfort zones and nerve-racking prognostication. We have been taught by pop-theology to use faith for immediate relief, not long-term endurance, not long-term results (Heb.11:13 does not figure into Esau’s demands for immediate relief).The Esau mindset of blowing off the coming generations and spending what you’ve got on relief for the present generation flies well in today’s skies. Joseph did not get immediate results (or relief) after his prophetic dream and prophetic pronouncement. He and Daniel and Esther were sent ahead to “preserve a posterity,” “continue a remnant” and “save lives.” (Gen.45:7 Amplified) Joseph stood and stood and took ground “until the Word of the Lord proved him” and he was not proven to guarantee him plenty of airtime and notoriety but for the survival of a nation (Ps.105:18). He was not dealt the luxurious right of faith for immediate relief or escape. But the result was the salvation of a nation and its being propelled into the future of its destiny for Jehovah’s purposes and Name’s sake.

What, Where, Why, How, When — WHAT we need more than better politicians is an awakening move of God. WHERE we need that move of God is in the Church. WHY we need that move of God (perhaps it might better be labeled a reforming move of God) is because, having lost sight of our purpose in the earth, the church is bemoaning and reacting rather than decreeing and acting. HOW the move will come is determined by the resistance from those He is attempting to move upon, i.e., the types of circumstances in which they will be willing to hear from God. There are numerous creative circumstances in the Bible that were allowed to develop to awaken purpose in those who eventually became Sunday School story heroes. But then, their goal was not to get to heaven. It was to stop the giants and the systems that dared defy the Lord of Hosts. WHEN God moves, we must be ready to yield to a paradigm that allows His government to reform us before we inadequately try transforming a nation. (1Pe.4:17 “judgment begins in the house of God”) After not preaching the Gospel of the Kingdom (i.e.,the rule of God, not just a get-out-of-hell-free message; Matt.4:23; 9:35; 24:14) and Kingdom culture for 200 years, we are crying out in our nation for a political figure to legislate morality to produce a culture that doesn’t destroy itself and shed innocent blood. (1Pe.4:17 “judgment begins in the house of God”) After not preaching the Gospel of the Kingdom (i.e.,the rule of God, not just a get-out-of-hell-free message; Matt.4:23; 9:35; 24:14) and Kingdom culture for 200 years, we are crying out in our nation for a political figure to legislate morality to produce a culture that doesn’t destroy itself and shed innocent blood. (Matt.5-6 is Kingdom culture)
Melissa — This is the year to loose your grasp on Plan B and take hold, with both hands, of Plan A – His original intent for your life in this year. If your answer is hidden, ask God what the right question is in this moment. Ask Him what, in you, might be hindering the answer. Ask Him what you need to know today. He’s got plans for you, He is not into punishing you. His M.O. is all about forgiveness, redemption, relationship, and promotion all for His glory. Hey, if He tells you it’s simply about timing then it’s really that simple. His timing is perfect. Look at the birth and life of Samuel. Perseverance is key! It’s going to be an amazing year.
