Cornelius at the Door

Kathy — There are times Father positions us for a mandate with something as obvious as a Cornelius at the door. A man knocked on our door one Sunday afternoon. Marty answered the door and the man introduced himself as a retired policeman from San Antonio who had moved into our neighborhood a few years earlier. He told Marty he had heard that we were ministers and waited for confirmation. When Marty answered yes, he proceeded to lay out a plan he had. He said there were several elderly and sick people in our neighborhood that could not attend church. He was concerned that his friends needed teaching and prayer and ministry but explained that he was raised in a non-evangelical denomination and didn’t know anything about the Bible. He told Marty that he would like to gather some people in the pool pavilion if Marty would come and preach to them! This was nothing we had ever seen coming, but our participation was clear and doable.

Chaos and Fulfillment

Abraham walked thru chaos on the way to the fulfillment of the word over his life and Joseph did, Moses did, Joshua did, David did. Our nation/world is walking through chaos on the way to an awakening. God speaks the progression of time and events and His authority and power bring them into being. That is why we must cling to God’s Word and get into alignment with it (speak it, pray it). He already has a plan and He is looking for those who will align/act on it. Isa.14:24 — “Just as I have intended so it has happened, and just as I have planned so it will stand.”  Jehovah plans and declares tomorrow for our benefit, for His declarations free us from our limitations. He wants us to see beyond immediate circumstances. His declarations (what should be/shall be) clear the atmosphere for receiving His inevitable works of wonder.

Not Limit God

Melissa — Let’s not limit calling on God for great and mighty answers to things we need only. If He says I’ll “show you great and mighty things” why in the world would we not call on Him on a daily basis to see what awesomeness He has in store for the here and now? The requirement for asking such things daily is to be in a dominion/heaven-on-earth state rather than a victimized one. A victimized state of mind keeps us stuck on “me, my, me”. The way out of victimhood is in truth because it has a tendency to set you free IF you know it by meditating on and living it (John 8:32). This is one of the main issues we face today because we have too much information, whether it be truth or a lie, at our fingertips every moment of every day. Easy access has become the demoralizer of an entitled culture. Yes, this applies to Christians as well.

The Month of November is For

The Month of November is for trusting in the Lord no matter what. “Behold, God is my salvation; I WILL TRUST, and will not be afraid; for the Lord God is my strength & my song, and he has become my salvation.” (Isaiah 12:2)

Limitation and Answers

MSG6-15-14Melissa — We don’t get to determine what the answer must be when we call on God Almighty. That kind of determination is a prescription for indigestion. Why? Because we are working from a very limited soul-perspective of the situation with even more limited soul-solutions. This kind of limitation focuses on the impossible rather than the God of the impossible. He not only sees the problem, but where it came from (possibly from entitlement mindsets passed on through the bloodline?) and He sees the best solution for the complete fix. That right there is the kind of “great and mighty” answer we are truly looking for.

Celebrating Reformation!

As the people of God assemble today we are celebrating Reformation Day! On October 31, 1517 Martin Luther nailed his Ninety-five Theses to the Wittenberg Church door in Germany. What had been covered over by centuries of profitable and manipulative tradition, was exposed and the truth of God’s Word, the Gospel of salvation by grace (Eph.2:8), was made known. There is ONE Mediator between God and man, not a Mediator plus someone or some religious/ecclesiastical system (Heb.10:10). That Mediator, JESUS, alone was appointed by God to make atonement for the sins of men by His death. His atonement alone gives only Him authorization to be our Intercessor with God in our behalf. All persons (no matter race or creed) are to go directly to that Intercessor JESUS (Heb.7:25) and trust only in this Mediator alone. “For there is one God, and one mediator between God and men, the man Christ Jesus (1Tim.2:5).

Chaos to Order

There cannot be a chaos anywhere as big and consuming as the one in Genesis Chapter One when the earth was without form and void. Yet, there was a move from “CHAOS” to “INHABITED”. There must be a process toward order for there to be a condition of “inhabited” (order). There must be an exposing of that which is out of order. There is much unrighteousness and evil and hidden agendas being exposed in our nation in order that there may be an accountability. When Israel and individuals in the Old Testament flaunted God’s laws and refused to adhere to His principles for life and community, He turned them over to civil government. There is much of God’s laws and principles which are being violated and there are very many who are doing it, therefore, there will be a great deal of commotion in society and great effects upon culture as the requirements of law are executed by God-ordained authorities.  We must, therefore, pray and declare the victory of those who stand in the God-ordained positions of civil government to have the insight and wisdom to bring justice. Father God’s intention is always to move us from chaos to order. Didn’t He do just that when He saved you by His grace and the blood of Jesus? He is taking this nation ordained for His purposes through the process toward order and He is able to keep those which are His while He brings His righteous judgments.

To Develop a Kingdom Lifestyle

Kathy — Seeing or perceiving and participating to develop a Kingdom lifestyle cannot be taught or explained in a cookie-cutter fashion because firstly, there’s a uniqueness in how each of us see or perceive, and secondly, there are definite variations in how we participate. We are individual sons, not cookie-cutter Christians. To illustrate some of the uniquenesses and variations in sons and daughters, I will use personal examples of how He prompts and enables us to participate with Him. Rest assured, I do not use myself as an example because I think I am an expert or something special on a stick. On the contrary, I figure if Father has the patience to work with this single-focused-Sally, He will patiently work with any of His kids until they perceive and participate with Him. (Marty and Melissa both tell me all the time that God must be rolling His eyes at me, but I don’t let them bother me. ☺)

Peace, Grace, Hope

As the people of God assemble today their hearts will receive the peace and grace of the Lord Jesus Christ and will not give in to the chaos being created by the powers of darkness. Therefore, they will take hope and act upon the Word of God and live and walk in His righteous Kingdom order.
1Cor.14:33,TPT—“For God is the God of harmony, not confusion,[a] as is the pattern in all the churches of God’s holy believers.”
Jn.14:27,TPT—“I leave the gift of peace with you—my peace. Not the kind of fragile peace given by the world, but my perfect peace. Don’t yield to fear or be troubled in your hearts—instead, be courageous!”

Chaos, Prayer, Order

Group Hill PrayingChaos represents utmost impossibility to man and covers him with hopeless despair where he is willing to lay down his beliefs and former commitments so that he may gain some semblance of comfort in spite of the dreaded disorder (“Chaos”: a disorderly, confused, condition or state). Throughout history there have been perpetrators of confusion who have, for the purpose of control, attempted to throw the populace into confusion in order to coerce them into turning over their freedom for relief. Many to the south and east of the USA have already done that and are praying for the USA to wake up and realize that we must speak out and act now to preserve our constitution and nation. Chaos and its bold, inclusive threats will not prevail if God’s people will humble themselves and pray (2Chron.7:14) and take a stand in spite of brash attempts of darkness to limit and/or remove freedoms. If God could create the worlds out of nothing, surely we can see and take tremendous hope of His creating righteous order out of the chaos of self-focused, power-hungry people.

Momentum of Kingdom Lifestyle

Kathy — Let me say something softly so our souls hear liberation and not accusation: a Kingdom lifestyle is not self-focused or self-absorbed. Jesus thrust us into the momentum of a Kingdom lifestyle when He taught us to pray: Father, Your Kingdom come, Your will be done on earth as it is in heaven; and Father’s answers to that prayer are continually incoming into earth. A Kingdom lifestyle is staying positioned to participate in that incoming process.

And I Will Answer You

Melissa — Let’s look at “Call to me and I will answer you” through a modern American paradigm: I call on the Lord and He will answer – I will tell Him what I need and He will give it to me because He is a loving God. You know, kind of like curbside grocery delivery. I took the time to get my list together and I took the time to call about this list. Now, it’s on Him to deliver!  I’m afraid we North Americans operate out of an entitled mindset not only in our relationship with earthlings, but also in our relationship with God. If I call on Him then ________ (insert pre-determined answer here). The problem with an entitled relationship with God is where the entitlement is rooted. If it is rooted in the Spirit, according to the covenant, then it will put you in a posture of dominion. If, however, it is rooted in the soul then it will hold you in a victimized defensive posture. The soul will keep you chained out of reach of God’s original intent which is indeed dominion. Or said another way, the soul will keep you from being heaven on earth.

Chaos to Fulfillment

Planet Earth FreeThere was a move from “chaos” to “inhabited” to fulfillment in the very beginning. When Yahweh starts a thing, that is the way He intends for it to go. When God Almighty starts something, He finishes it. When people are wearying over matters, over determined personalities, over the seemingly inevitable outcome of present circumstances, God’s power and His plans are not in the least damaged or thwarted. God can bring fullness of order out of chaos as easily as He can bring it out of slight disorder. Isa.45:18, ISV — “For this is what the LORD says, who created the heavens— He is God, and the One who formed the earth and made it, and He is the one who established it; HE DIDN’T CREATE IT FOR CHAOS, but formed it to be inhabited— ‘I am the LORD and there is no other.”

Aware of Father

Kathy — Another daily Kingdom lifestyle challenge is to be aware of what Father is doing. We are sons and daughters of God living on earth in this time of history to do our Father’s business. His business translates as what we SEE or PERCEIVE that He is doing or wants done. The example that Jesus gave us for a Kingdom lifestyle doesn’t depend on us duplicating His exact situations or His exact miracles. The pattern He gave was doing what He saw the Father doing (Jn.5:19). That tells us the core essential here is not WHAT Jesus did but WHY He did it. Can you wrap your mind around that difference? If you don’t, you could live your whole life with a sense of not measuring up because you haven’t fed 5000 people with one little boy’s lunch. Unless YOU see the Father wanting you to do that, don’t even try it! If you live constantly focused on how you are or are not duplicating the acts of Jesus, you are not likely to even PERCEIVE what the Father is doing in any given moment.

Jeremiah 33:3

Melissa — During a time of ministry at a recent meeting a revered Prophet told me, “Read Jeremiah 33:3 everyday and watch what happens.” It’s certainly not an unfamiliar passage, but perhaps one that is easily forgotten in the midst of all the hustle, bustle and chaos. So, here you go (in 3 versions for impact):
“Call unto me, and I will answer thee, and show thee great and mighty things, which thou knowest not.” Jer. 33:3 KJV
“Call to Me and I will answer you, and tell you [and even show you] great and mighty things, [things which have been confined and hidden], which you do not know and understand and cannot distinguish.” Jer. 33:3 AMP
“Call to me and I will answer you. I’ll tell you marvelous and wondrous things that you could never figure out on your own.” Jer. 33:3 MSG.

Brightly Shine

BibleLight freeAs the people of God assemble today may they give their attention to the teaching of the Word of God to learn more efficient ways of moving in Spirit-led/Spirit-empowered gifts and abilities that will impact our culture for the glory and purposes of God as His Kingdom advances in our generation. Matt.5:16,TPT—“So don’t hide your light! Let it shine brightly before others, so that your commendable works will shine as light upon them, and then they will give their praise to your Father in heaven.”

New Language Opening New Doors

Learning new language will enable people of God to go beyond their normal boundaries. We will courageously venture out into new territory that will yield profits. We will learn the language of finance and investment. We will even pay the price, time and energy to link ourselves to mentors. With courage to learn and speak that language we will be able to speak to people we have rarely or never spoken to and they will understand us and reciprocate. We will be able to function more than marginally in arenas that have previously been foreign and unprofitable to us.

Righteousness, Peace and Joy

Kathy — Adam and Eve lived in righteousness, peace and joy which is the Kingdom of God, (Rom 14:17) and here’s the really best news of the day: it’s the Father’s good pleasure to give us that Kingdom (Lk.12:32)! Since it is the Father’s good pleasure to GIVE us the Kingdom, He gives us Righteousness, Peace and Joy and we develop a Kingdom lifestyle by learning to walk in what He’s given us. It flows like this: 1) He gives us Righteousness as a gift and then the daily Kingdom lifestyle challenge is refusing to let that righteousness be shaken or forsaken because of condemnation. If condemnation can take you to the mat, that’s a signal you’re looking to your own righteousness instead of the gift God gave. 2) He gives us Peace which carries exemption from emotional havoc in war. Peace is not exemption from war but from the emotional damage during war. So the daily Kingdom lifestyle challenge is to go on to sleep in the boat while the storm rages. 3) He gives us Joy by beautifully giving us so many reasons to be glad. Then the daily Kingdom lifestyle challenge is to calm down and be delighted. (Of course, that’s easier sometimes than others and easier for some people than others)

I am Healed

Melissa Gabler — “I AM healed” is a great statement with several notable pieces of information in it. It is a double decree. It is (1) proclaiming what is already done and (2) it is also proclaiming the fact that I am agreeing with it.

Challenges of a New Era

The challenges of a new era require our speaking new language. A new culture with a new language has developed all around us in recent years leaving many of us unable to function profitably and threatening more incapabilities and fear of the future. That culture is the culture of technology. It affects us in every arena of life. People of God will learn the language of technology and not only profit from it as we go into the future but will be able to be successful in the purposes of God in that mission field.

Elements of the Kingdom Lifestyle

Kathy — In the garden, Adam and Eve were set up in a Kingdom Lifestyle. All the elements in the garden were God’s Original Intent for a Kingdom lifestyle and still are. So the garden of Eden isn’t a fantasy or the impossible dream because the Kingdom didn’t disappear with the break-down of the garden. Jesus told us the Kingdom is at hand and still within reach, so the garden’s same elements are in our lives to the degree that our Kingdom lifestyle is developed. Look at those elements: 1) Adam and Eve met with God daily because a Kingdom lifestyle pivots on relationship with Father and His sons (“son” does not refer to gender but fully vested firstborn), and relationship with one another. 2) Everything in their life reflected the design and original intent of God. Again, this is not the impossible dream because our Redeemer lives to restore essentials of His original intent to our lives whenever possible. 3) They had the peace and security of the government of God and that too is available to us. 4) God was their source of life and provision and protection and their enabling to live in their calling and purpose and fulfillment. He still is. 5) They awoke daily to God’s potential to flourish. So do we. So the degree to which we walk or don’t walk in these elements of God’s original design reflects the measure of development of our daily Kingdom lifestyle.

Need a Re-Boot?

Melissa — If you feel worried, afraid, or uneasy that’s your clue that the Prophetic Lifestyle needs a re-boot. Make sure you keep the air cleared in your vicinity. One great way of doing that is, like previously mentioned, upping your prayer in tongues. Talk about an air purifier! Speaking in tongues is a beautiful weapon from Heaven for such a time as this. We are all capable of living a prophetic lifestyle without being a Prophet.
