What Used to Be
KATHY GABLER—What “used to be” in past years is not the witness that will impact a community or a region for the Kingdom in the here and now. I AM is being misrepresented if He is not present tense and awesome right here in this present year. If we refuse to allow pride or fear to keep us from fresh and timely obedience, sons of God will be redefined and repositioned as needed in this new year and we will flow into a momentum that causes the good plans of God to manifest. The groaning (Rom.8:19) communities and regions will reel with the supernatural results and exponential harvest that He has planned.

Let go of Condemnation
MARTY GABLER—As the people of God assemble today, may they let go of every ounce of condemnation that they may be able to freely speak or act in the King’s behalf at any given moment. May they graciously encourage one another to walk free of the memories and accusations associated with past actions and begin to rejoice as a horse let out of the stall. “THEREFORE, [there is] now no condemnation (no adjudging guilty of wrong) for those who are in Christ Jesus, who live [and] walk not after the dictates of the flesh, but after the dictates of the Spirit.” (Rom 8:1, Amp)

What’s the Antidote to Accusation?
Melissa Gabler—What’s the antidote to accusation? The opposite of accusation is intercession. The enemy accuses (Revelation 12:10) and Jesus intercedes (Romans 8:34). Instead of accusing, criticizing, gossiping and leaving it there, it needs to be turned into intercession. Now, in the south we like to put “bless their heart” at the end of a good ol’ accusation… THIS IS NOT INTERCESSION. Perhaps an example of intercession would look something like this, “Open their eyes Lord, Your grace is sufficient for this issue.”

Loving the Truth
Melissa Gabler—It’s going to take loving the Truth (which is a Person—THE Person) to see great and mighty things for which an earth is groaning (Romans 8:17-19). It’s going to take some calling on that Person which requires relationship, not curbside pickup. And relationship takes time, time out of your day. This does not mean you have to set aside hours and hours every day. That is not a bad thing if that’s where you are currently, or a season you are headed into. Other than that, a relationship is all day everyday.

Revealed in the Middle of Chaos
MARTY—In Rom.8:19 it says, “…the eagerly awaiting creation waits”. It is not likely that we will find anywhere in the Bible where creation wishes the sons and daughters of God were not here. Creation is waiting. Creation is waiting for every son/daughter of Almighty God Jehovah to be revealed in this present world just as Jesus was revealed some 2,000 years ago in the midst of Israel’s chaos.

Heaven Waits
A while back I heard a man singing “Heaven waits for me. I am looking forward to going there” and it was difficult to understand his next lyrics because of all the shouting and jumping around. I don’t ever recall reading a scripture in the Bible that actually says “heaven” is waiting for us, wanting us to come there. BUT I do remember reading a scripture that says CREATION is waiting for us. Creation is not waiting for sons/daughters to be removed from present chaos but the Bible actually says that creation is groaning (Rom.8) for sons/daughters, with the likeness of their redeeming Lord (Jn.20:21), to be revealed in the earth through redemptive action and redemptive words of life (Acts1:8). Where I have been lately across the U.S. and outside this nation, that groan is getting louder and louder, more desperate and more pleading—some even pled with me to let them video me with their phone while I prophesied and prayed so that they might take them and play them for others in desperation. They did not ask me to tell them about heaven. They asked me how God’s power might help them and their families and their nation in the present chaos.
What heaven IS waiting for is sons/daughters of God through whom it may come into the earth. Perhaps it would be more Biblically accurate to say that what heaven is waiting for is for sons/daughters of God Almighty to receive Holy Spirit in such a way that they receive outpouring from heaven and reveal the Christ of glory in this present earth. Would that when this subject was sung or preached that the shouting of those being revealed in the earth would be so great that the singer/preacher would have to pause before going on.
The Holy Spirit brings what exists in the realm of heaven into history. Jesus was in heaven but He was brought into history by Holy Spirit. When Mary asked, “How shall this be?” Gabriel answered, “The Holy Spirit will come upon you and the power of the Most High shall overshadow you” (Lk 1:35). Paul says that Holy Spirit has a groan He wants to groan through us and that it will answer the groan in creation: “And in the same way the Spirit also helps our weakness; for we do not know how to pray as we should, but the Spirit Himself intercedes for {us} with groanings too deep for words; (Rom 8:26, NAS)
The groaning of creation for the sons of God to be revealed (v.19) is met with the power of Holy Spirit in bringing the realm of heaven into history. The answer to the groan of the creature (v.20-21) is the baptism of the Holy Spirit, the fruit of the Holy Spirit and the gifts of the Holy Spirit. The baptism of the Holy Spirit (Acts 1:8; 2:4) brings the power that is beyond what we can produce or accomplish in ourselves (Acts1:8,TPT “…and you will be seized with power.”) The fruit of the Holy Spirit (Gal.5:22-25) manifests in this earth the conduct and relationships of heaven. We must get the relationships of heaven into the earth. The gifts of the Spirit (1Co.12:7-11) manifest in this age the power of heaven over our limitations — over what we do not know and cannot do. We must get the power and benefits of heaven into this earth, “Salvation does not mean flight and escape from the lower material world to a higher spiritual world; it means the redemption of the realm of human history by the invasion of the spiritual realm of God, so that the historical realm is lifted to a new and higher level of existence (G.E. Ladd, Theology of the New Testament, p.489).”

Looking Beyond, Around and Over
As the people of God assemble today may they look beyond, around, over and right through the threatening hindrances that seem to be screaming out their determined obstinance to the fulfillment of God’s Kingdom purposes in their lives. Creation is Groaning
Kathy — Creation is groaning for people of God to do supernatural things and bring God’s order. Children 
perceive it early on. It’s in the DNA of their spirit to reach beyond natural to supernatural. That’s why they love video games that take them beyond natural limits. If we don’t teach them to know God, they won’t know they were born to walk on water or heal the blind WHEN it is obedience to Father’s instructions. Rom.8:19,TPT—“The entire universe is standing on tiptoe [i.e., intense anticipation], yearning to see the unveiling of God’s glorious sons and daughters!”

Free From the Guilt of the Past

Behold, new things have come [because spiritual awakening brings a new life].”

Catastrophes and Purpose
No matter what catastrophe is making headlines, we are already obligated to the purposes of Almighty God. We have already made a decision for the God of heaven. Bad things that happen may make it a bit more difficult to get certain things done and may knock wind out of us but they must not become insurmountable walls; they must only be obstacles which we overcome to fulfill purpose. (Rom.8:39)

Creation is Stretching its Neck
As the people of God assemble today may they see clearly and be equipped effectively for what is expected of them in this pivotal hour of our nation. Sons/daughters of the Kingdom become the answer to the groaning of creation which we read about in Rom.8:19,22. In the original language, groaning creation is pictured in such a way that it is expectantly stretching the neck to glimpse that which is beyond itself and beyond its present plight. That which creation is stretching its neck to see, or THOSE whom it is stretching its neck to see, are their hope of lifting them out of their hopeless plight.

Time and Relationship
Kathy — As children, we learn who our parents are through time and relationship. We learn their order, values, beliefs, preferences, priorities, etc. We identify them and our identity develops from there. As sons of God, we learn who He is through time and relationship, then our identity as sons develops from there. (Rom8:14)

Lightened From Burden

Trouble Linked to Promotion
When trouble came to David on that hillside, he couldn’t see how being attacked by 
a lion had anything to do with being king of Israel someday. That day all he saw was teeth, hair and eyeballs lunging at him. Earnest Expectation
“The earnest expectation of the creature waits for the manifestation of the sons of 
God”(Rom.8:19) God built that expectancy into creation because He had built into His sons the ability to meet it by the empowerment of the Holy Spirit. Creation was designed to wait upon the government of God manifested in His redeemed ones; ones who would declare and decree in keeping with His will for their respective generation. (Ps.71:18)
