When Jesus told His disciples to go to the other side of the lake, the hard facts the disciples focused on, once out on the water in the storm, were (Matt.14:22-27): 1.) it was night-dark 2.) they were a great distance from land 3.) the boat was beaten by waves 4.) the wind was against them—blowing the opposite direction they were supposed to go. We must beware of reaching a point that we are merely dwelling on just the facts. These may be the present facts but they are not the conclusion of the matter. In the Bible, present facts (threatening and impossible) and final conclusions always looked very different from one another.
Kathy — Our children perceive early we are called to answer creation’s groaning. It’s in the DNA of their spirit to reach beyond natural to supernatural. That’s why they love video games that take them beyond natural limits. If we don’t teach them to know God and think like He thinks, they won’t know they were born to walk on water or heal the blind WHEN it is obedience to Father’s instructions. Ps145:5
In the middle of the storm, right on top of the troubled water Jesus said, “It is I”. The sufficiency of the boat was doubtful, the only practical thing that was available was less than adequate. It is Jesus who has given the promise and it is Jesus who will make good on it and it is Jesus that the storm cannot drive away! The storm cannot displace Jesus. Just look at Who has given the promise. Jesus had far better transportation than a leaky old boat. The safest place on this occasion was not in the boat but on the water! Faith is for the purpose of getting out of the boat, not for asking Jesus to get into the boat (Matt. 14:28). Wishing a storm would have never come, asking why storms come, trying to lay blame for the storm are all distractions. Now is the time to look up from the threatening waters and walk with Jesus day by day “to the other side” (Matt.14:22). The safest place is with the Master of the storm.

How in the world did Peter ever walk on water?! It was indeed a miracle that Peter walked on water, especially when his buddies were clinging to the sides of the boat… from the inside. We do not want to be connected to the mind of this age with its limitations. In Matt.6:9 Jesus said we should pray to our Father in Heaven that His Kingdom would come to earth, and that was so we can lift our sense-oriented sight and sense-enslaved minds beyond the pitiful limitations of man’s small world — to see what we have never seen and to do what we have never done. We are praying you discover daily that you are lifting your eyes and setting your mind on the possibilities of Heaven coming into earth. When Peter saw Jesus walking on the water, he cried out, “Bid me come.” (Matt.14:28) That “BID me COME” is in the heart of all of us. JESUS is saying to us too, “COME ON!” There is no need for us to live a watered-down version of what God had in mind for our lifetime. We don’t have to leave a wimpy heritage. Fear may try to hold us in the boat but there is a stronger force at work. There is a heart’s cry, “Lord, BID me COME.” There will be times that the cry of “BID me COME” stirs in our breast and we have a choice to respond to Jesus. We are praying you discover daily that Jesus is bidding you to come walk with Him in victory. (Marty’s Daily Discovery as heard on TEXAS PRAISE RADIO at the bottom of the hour 24 hours/day.)
Even before the resurrection, the sea water had its normal density and the body of Jesus had its proper density, yet Jesus walked on water (Matt.14:26). This LORD of the many-layered wisdom of God (Eph.3:10) is not bound by dimensions, nor by the poverty of human experience, nor by the laws of gravity or mass. Therefore, the advancing of His Kingdom and the sons of that Kingdom are candidates to participate in what their King has set up.
”Of the increase of his government and peace there shall be no end, upon the throne of David, and upon his kingdom, to order it, and to establish it with judgment and with justice from henceforth even for ever. The zeal of the Lord of hosts will perform this.” (Isa.9:7)

That “BID me COME to You on the water,” was a cry of DESTINY coming up from Peter’s spirit . . . An inner YEARNING to do what JESUS was doing. An inner KNOWING he was born to walk on water.
There is no need for us to live a watered-down version of what God had in mind for our lifetime. The only way we will leave a wimpy or skimpy heritage, is if we ignore or suppress that which is inside us . . . “LORD, BID me COME to You on the water.”
I’m obviously no 20-something, so why am I talking about taking dominion at my age . . Because “BID me COME” will trump age. “BID me COME” will trump sickness & disease. “BID me COME” will trump past failures & defeats. And every disorder we bring into Heaven’s order is the Kingdom of God advancing in the earth.
We were born to walk in the authority that trumps all things. “You don’t understand what I am up against.” No, I don’t, but I know His “COME ON” is bigger . . . Besides, when you’re walking on water, it doesn’t matter if it’s 2ft. deep or 20ft. deep.
