Game Changer: Miracles, Signs, Wonders

LightsStadiumFieldMelissa — A definite “game-changer” in the coming days and challenges of 2021 is Miracles, Signs and Wonders. Just get ready for these to become the norm. And get ready to be the gate through which they come.  What you have been in training to release will become obvious this year.

Creation is Groaning

Kathy — Creation is groaning for people of God to do supernatural things and bring God’s order. Children WalkWaterperceive it early on. It’s in the DNA of their spirit to reach beyond natural to supernatural. That’s why they love video games that take them beyond natural limits. If we don’t teach them to know God, they won’t know they were born to walk on water or heal the blind WHEN it is obedience to Father’s instructions. Rom.8:19,TPT—“The entire universe is standing on tiptoe [i.e., intense anticipation], yearning to see the unveiling of God’s glorious sons and daughters!”

Seeking Signs or Himself?

News services are using their valuable air time and print space reporting on Christians declaring the end of the world. Christians have said time and time again throughout my lifetime (more than six decades) that no generation has seen things looking upworse than they are now, and it is now the end of the world and the coming of the Lord. They have looked up into the sky and in every corner of the globe seeking all manner of natural signs to confirm their suspicions (Gal.4:9-11). Yet, I find it interesting that not one time have I heard anyone say that no generation of Christians has ever been more like Jesus than this generation (even after all the years and all the centuries of church attendance and flocking to revival meetings and observing the stars and dispensational charts). Amos has a great suggestion: “SEEK HIM that maketh the seven stars and Orion… THE LORD IS HIS NAME:” (Amos 5:8, KJV; also v.4-“Seek Me, and live!”) Could it be that Amos would rather have us take valuable time and effort we are using to seek signs and actually use it to SEEK THE LORD Himself?

Dates and Groaning

Dates, predictions and signs come and go in every generation and during and after the book writing and prophesying and after the hubbub, fear and debates subside, creation is still left groaning for the manifestation of the sons of God. For many, these things are not about Jesus, they are about events. We must get back to a Christocentric message and lifestyle (one in which Christ is central, not just a ticket out of here). ”[ The Centerpiece of All We Believe ] So, my dear Christian friends, companions in following this call to the heights, take a good hard look at Jesus. He’s the centerpiece of everything we believe, faithful in everything God gave him to do.” (Heb.3:1, Msg)

Signs and Sons

“Behold, I and the children whom the Lord has given me are for signs and wonders in Israel from the Lord of hosts, Who dwells on Mount Zion.” (Isa.8:18, NASB) A sign is something that points to something greater than itself. The sign is never the focus but that which it represents. Isaiah’s children and their names were an ongoing message (a sign) to the nation of Israel. Jehovah was attempting to move His resolve and provision from heaven into the earth in Israel by giving Israel a sign through living, breathing members of their community. Sons of God are still signs in the earth of answers that are in heaven and ready to be moved into earth.

God Confirms His Word

God reveals Himself in truth. We are not only to recite truth but we are to experience truth. The truth is that GOD IS AWESOME, that He is great and greatly to be praised. What better way to praise ALMIGHTY GOD than to praise Him with our very lives – spirit, soul AND body.  What about the importance of the Word? He promised that He would confirm His Word with signs following (Mk.16:20). He didn’t just talk about the power of His Word. He showed what the power of His Word would do! “The things that distinguish a true apostle were performed among you with great perseverance—supernatural signs, startling wonders, and awesome miracles.” (2Cor.12:12,TPT)

Looking Into the Sky for a Sign

Following Signs or Signs Following

News services are using their valuable air time and print space reporting on Christians declaring the end of the world. Christians have said time and time again throughout my lifetime that no generation has seen things worse than they are now, and it is now the end of the world and the coming of the Lord. They have looked up into the sky and sought all manner of natural signs to confirm their suspicions (Gal.4:10). Apostle Paul’s great concern was not to get Christians off the planet but to, somehow, labor and strive until they were conformed to the image of Christ (Gal.4:19).  Hopefully there will come a time when we become weary with following signs and we turn around and look behind us to see if there are any signs following us. (Mark 16:17) “And these signs shall follow them that believe; In my name shall they cast out devils; they shall speak with new tongues;”  It’s not time for the end. It’s time for the sons of God to be manifest (have signs follow them) as the answer to the groaning of creation (Rom.8:19,22). Then maybe news services will have something really worthwhile to report about what Christians are saying AND doing.

Signs And Wonders

Signs And Wonders (Kathy Gabler)
The words translated miracle or sign or wonder are, for the most part, interchangeable in the Bible. A working definition is: displays of the supernatural in this natural realm.

That is encouraging in one way because that implies one reason we don’t see signs and wonders is because we don’t SEE them, even though they are on-going. How many of the 5000 plus that were eating on the hillside realized their lunch was a miracle? I’m thinking a good percentage didn’t have a clue! How many thousands of people saw the same star as the three kings, but didn’t know it was a sign and a wonder? When David saw Goliath, he wasn’t looking for a miracle! He was just looking for a rock! However, there were miracles (plural) in the mix that day, beyond the anointed impact of a rock from a sling. The whole scene was a miracle of timing, circumstance and possibly Goliath choosing the wrong helmet that day! Someone who is trained in CPR can easily fail to see the miracle of being in the right place at the right time to participate in the intervention of God in a situation. Isaiah 20:3, calls it a sign and wonder that Isaiah walked naked and barefoot for three years. I’m just not so sure his wife called that a sign and wonder!

We build definition boxes in our minds, then if supernatural interventions don’t fit in our box, we tend to miss it. I submit to you today that our thinking must change and is going to change. We cannot think as mere humans. We need Kingdom thinking as sons. Jesus said in John 14:12-13, “He who believes in Me, the works that I do he will do also; and greater works than these he will do.”
