Kingdoms and Wheat and Tares
3-2-24 JIM HODGES — “The devil offered Jesus the kingdoms of this world in the wilderness. It is my conviction that Christ began to take on those kingdoms before the cross. He took them on in the wilderness of Judea and won the victory there. He then celebrated the victory in the garden near Golgotha. The whole ministry of Jesus is to transform a wilderness into a garden. The Bible began in a garden and ends in a garden-like city. When the devil told Jesus in the wilderness that he would give Him the kingdoms of this world Jesus, of course, would not bow to him. He defeated the devil in the desert as the Son of Man because He did not use deity powers to do so. That gives us hope of overcoming the devil also. On the cross, Jesus legally, judicially and covenantally stripped Satan of all his authority and made an open show of his being defeated.
One of the main points in the parable of the wheat and tares is that the tares are not removed until they mature while mixed in with the wheat. Attempts to remove the tares from the wheat during growth will destroy the harvest. So, in history, wheat or sons of the Kingdom grow together simultaneously with the tares or sons of the evil one. They are occupying the same earth and they are at war because of two different agendas. That is the basic reason that becoming a son or daughter of God is signing up for conflict. Peace only comes by winning the conflict, not just tolerating the enemy. The time for removing the tares is when they fully manifest what they are, like Jesus cast out devils when they manifested.”

Can I be Real?
MELISSA—Can I just be real with you? Here’s where I am currently, things don’t look right or feel right, (and I’ve had multiple conversations with others feeling the same way). It’s looking like the norm we grew up in has faded into the sunset for good. Things that used to entertain us have become disgusting beyond words and the atmosphere is so weighty it is tangible. BUT in the midst of all of this, I sense something phenomenal coming that has me so full of hope and pure joy that I can breathe deeper than I ever have. Sons, Daughters and Ambassadors
DR. DON CRUM — The government of the Kingdom of God increases as God’s sons and daughters who are His ambassadors in the earthly realm, understand and operate more in the implementation of God’s “Foreign Policies” in the earth. Therefore, His rule and reign extend and expand throughout the nations, pulling them into alignment. Matt 13:33 Jesus also used this illustration: “The Kingdom of Heaven is like the yeast a woman used in making bread. Even though she put only a little yeast in three measures of flour, it permeated every part of the dough.” God’s Kingdom Government is permeating throughout the nations through you and me as His Kingdom Ambassadors. As God’s sons and daughters in the earth, we are entrusted with an amazing inheritance of kingly authority to legislate the affairs of nations by invoking God’s plans and policies on a massive global scale. We are rapidly moving out of the Congregational and into the Congressional in this hour. Understanding our delegated authority in Christ’s imperative. (DR. Not by Might nor by Power
MELISSA—When the Lord said that we should pray so we can be prepared for the onslaught, we did, and then His instruction came to hold. What this instruction has shown me is “This is the word of the Lord to Zerubbabel: ‘Not by might nor by power, but by My Spirit,’ says the Lord of Hosts.” (Zech. 4:6) This cannot be handled or fixed by our might or power. We are at the place where all of our self-help, strength, reasoning and logic have absolutely no power against this onslaught. What we are experiencing is what has been fueling the problems in lives and society and it has been hidden behind the scenes until now. This is a spiritual war and this is only the beginning. Grow Strong and be Filled With Wisdom
This is the day the Lord has made (Ps.118:24) so…. I will rejoice and be glad and grow strong in spirit and be filled with wisdom in it. Jesus was born with purpose and so are we. From the beginning, He not only grew physically but in His spirit and in wisdom for what was to come (Lk.2:52). One of our major goals for our children in 2024 should be to see them filled with the Spirit and to train them in godly wisdom. “And the Child grew and became strong in spirit, filled with wisdom; and the grace (favor and spiritual blessing) of God was upon Him.” (Lk.2:40, Amp)

The Need for Identity
KATHY—None of us outgrow the need for identity, affirmation or boundaries. If they are met, they help us to be healthy mentally, emotionally, physically and relationally. If they are not met, they set us up for sabotage. Since none of us had a perfect family life growing up, we have all been sabotaged to some degree and had conflicts with self-image that left our self-worth in doubt, or vice versa. And we have all faced embarrassment or failure regarding our self-government. So, it is no private scar since everyone’s mirror (self-image) gets whacked in life. Sometimes it is even our own doing; but how we respond after the fact is the crucial matter. If we continue to only look at a cracked reflection, a marred, fragmented person; that will keep us from agreeing with the way God sees us and keep us from lining up with God’s intentions for our life and future.

How Much Will the Kingdom of God Advance?
Jim Hodges: “The question is not how much does the Kingdom advance before the King returns. The question is how much will the Body of Christ pray and participate in the agenda of the Kingdom of God in the culture? The Call and the Answer
MELISSA — Let’s look at “Call to me and I will answer you” through a modern American paradigm: I call on the Lord and He will answer – I will tell Him what I need and He will give it to me because He is a loving God. You know, kind of like curbside grocery delivery. I took the time to get my list together and I took the time to call about this list. Now, it’s on Him to deliver! I’m afraid we North Americans operate out of an entitled mindset not only in our relationship with earthlings, but also in our relationship with God. If I call on Him then ________ (insert pre-determined answer here). The problem with an entitled relationship with God is where the entitlement is rooted. If it is rooted in the Spirit, according to the covenant, then it will put you in a posture of dominion. If, however, it is rooted in the soul then it will hold you in a victimized defensive posture. The soul will keep you chained out of reach of God’s original intent which is indeed dominion. Or said another way, the soul will keep you from being heaven on earth. Toss Thought-Clutter
KATHY—Self-to-Self dreams can clean house by flashing scenes from our life into dreams so we can gather and toss “thought-clutter” and have a clean start the next day. Scientists and doctors have proven these kind of dreams are a nightly reset that de-clutters the mind and de-stresses the mind. Since stress is the starting point for many, if not most health issues, the ability to dream self-to-self is healthy. The Hebrew word for dream is chalam (khay lem), which means to strengthen or restore to health or facilitate recovery. Any way you look at it, dreaming is a blessing from the Lord. Even nightmares or upsetting dreams or bizarro dreams can be a positive because they bring things stored in our core closet out to the living room where we can be aware of them and we can confront them for relief or resolve. God’s Will in the Now
KATHY GABLER — His Kingdom has already been in effect, now is in effect and will be in effect always. That contradicts that silent “someday” that would keep the Kingdom of God out of reach during our lifetime, or keep “righteousness and peace and joy” in His presence only a future, someday realization (Rom 14:17). How messed up is it to think that righteousness, peace and joy are unreachable until you die? That thinking would make “Thy Kingdom come” a death request. Could we get any more perversely opposite to the heart of God than that? Could we deny His New Covenant provision any louder than that? If we think that His Kingdom (meaning His rule and His order) cannot come into earth now when we pray, is it any wonder that manifestations of His power show up piecemeal rather than bulk, or sporadically rather than continually? Poor God. When His stewards on earth think like that, they only accidentally stumble into agreement that opens the earth to God’s will in the now. (Hear Kathy at KINGDOM CONGRESS 2023. Standing With US
As the people of God assemble today may Holy Spirit bring conviction that He is surely standing with them and they are not in the battle by themselves. And, by the enablement of Holy Spirit, may they stand with one another in the battles that try to take the brethren down and put them out of the good fight of faith. 2Tim.4:16-18a,TPT—“At first there was no one I could count on to faithfully stand with me—they all ran off and abandoned me—but don’t hold this against them. 17 For in spite of this, my Lord himself stood with me, empowering me to complete my ministry of preaching to all the non-Jewish nations so they all could hear the message and be delivered from the mouth of the lion! 18 And my Lord will continue to deliver me…”

Awakening and Reformation
DR. GREG CRAWFORD — A few years ago the Lord told me, “Your message this week is written on the capital wall. Go to the state capital and get your message.” I went to the capital and began my search. I read everything hanging on all the walls. I read plaques and things posted on every floor and almost every public room. I was coming up with nothing. As I kept ascending to the very top floor in the rotunda, I finally found it. Written around the very top were the words, “that this nation, under God, shall have a new birth of freedom, and that government of the people, by the people, for the people, shall not perish from the earth.” The words “a new birth of freedom” are what stood out. I would later learn this was Lincoln’s last line of the Gettysburg address. The Lord spoke to me and said, “This will become the rallying point for the awakening and reformation you seek. This will be the common sound that will unite and draw people to a common cause.” I assumed that was for my state but today I see it is for the nation.

Something Churning
MELISSA — I feel something big churning as of late. I do know that some of it is about the remainder of the decade, but more importantly I believe this discernment is about getting ready for the rest of 2023. I believe that the latter part of 2023 is very significant to how we enter the rest of the decade. As I write this I see a picture of the American flag being raised by brave Marines at Iwo Jima during World War II. In researching this battle this statement stuck out, “The battle was won by the inch-by-inch tenacity of the foot soldier”. 2023 will be won “by the inch-by-inch tenacity of the foot soldier,” right now. For those that struggle with an all-or-nothing drive, (like me) the statement “inch-by-inch tenacity” can be almost devastating. I really prefer a battle being done in a one-glorious-moment tenacity! Here’s the thing with the remainder of 2023, the inch-by-inch is going to lead to many glorious moments in the coming years.

Extraordinary Events
Consider the nation of Israel when they were murmuring about the food situation in the wilderness in Exodus Chapter 16. That whole scenario was an opportunity for every person involved to stop, look and listen to what was transpiring and conclude that these were not just a series of events that were simply to be written down in a history book somewhere. When they woke up that first morning of the manna event they discovered something so extraordinary that they didn’t know what to call it. So, they ended up calling it “what is it?” (v.15). They, however, did not adjust to the new era and did not change their thinking and old habits. They continued trying to operate by old mindsets, did not heed the instructions of Moses and ended up with a smelly, undesirable mess (v.20). A new era cannot be new and cannot be the vehicle carrying us to new results if we intend operating in the mindsets of the old era. The never-before-experienced extraordinary of the new season turned to waste and to something that was untenable because the Israelites refused to operate by the tenets of the new (v.19). A new threshold serves little or no purpose if we have no intention of operating in the new with the respective new mindset. New eras are themselves announcements of new norms.

An Isaac Season
KATHY — There are people who are on the threshold of an Isaac season. For me that represents a long-awaited promise finally coming to pass. Isaac represents the good plans of God manifesting. Isaac represents enabling to reach a greater degree of purpose and potential. Isaac represents the joy of fulfillment. We are positioned in a time and place for “Isaacs” to come on the scene. Rom.4:20-21, The Passion Translation — “He never stopped believing God’s promise, for he was made strong in his faith to father a child. Bounty by the Power of Holy Spirit
As the people of God assemble today, may they be infused with Holy Spirit power to be fruitful all the year ahead. May vision and empowerment come to each one. I pray that the fruit our Lord gives you and your church this year will be like the net the disciples had to call for help to draw in. May there be such a bounty that the net would be near bursting with the catch. May your net be built strong and hold. “So Simon Peter went aboard and hauled the net to land, full of large fish, 153 of them; and [though] there were so many of them, the net was not torn.” (Jn.21:11, Amp)
