KATHY—Days of Elijah are days when lovers of darkness are dramatically desperate! 1Ki 18:28 “And they called with a loud voice, and cut themselves, according to their way, with swords and with spears until blood gushed out on them.29 And it happened as noon passed by, that they prophesied madly until the offering up of the offering; and no sound came, and no one was answering, and no one was paying attention.” Well, so be it in our day. May there be confusion in the enemy’s camp.
The underbelly of darkness that seeks to work evil in this nation is going to be exposed. We can do our part by praying that God will work in lives and bring truth and evidence to positioned people to expose and bring down evil structures. Jer.23:24,NASB—“Can a person hide himself in hiding places So that I do not see him?” declares the Lord. “Do I not fill the heavens and the earth?” declares the Lord.”Eccl.12:14,Msg—“Eventually God will bring everything that we do out into the open and judge it according to its hidden intent, whether it’s good or evil. Heb.4:13,Amp—“And not a creature exists that is concealed from His sight, but all things are open and exposed, and revealed to the eyes of Him with whom we have to give account.”
Kathy—Workers of darkness are counterfeiters, but counterfeit shouldn’t be mistaken to mean “NOT REAL.”Counterfeit money is real and even spendable, but it is not authorized, NOT LEGAL!Some workers of darkness are frauds practicing trickery to deceive people into believing they have supernatural powers at their disposal, like magicians who learn quick hand tricks or slip through panels to disappear.Others can actually produce supernatural displays because they have tapped into the spirit realm and (knowingly or not) have agreed and connected their lives to spirit forces of wickedness. So, like Moses, we are not here to deny the power of darkness, we are here to de-fang it and defeat it.
Kathy—God made no bones about how He feels concerning works of darkness.He considers them an abomination or morally disgusting, and anyone who does such things is detestable to the LORD (Deut.18:12). These abominable works of darkness are spelled out in Deut. 18:10,11,MSG—“Don’t you dare sacrifice your son or daughter in the fire. Don’t practice divination, sorcery, fortunetelling, witchery, casting spells, holding seances, or channeling with the dead.” Yet, in this present darkness, these things are tolerated as part of our culture. Most of them are even in cartoons for children!
Melissa — Darkness has an expiration date and its number has been called. The Hosts of Heaven are currently attending to that matter. “For the one who sows to his flesh [his sinful capacity, his worldliness, his disgraceful impulses] will reap from the flesh ruin and destruction.” (Gal.6:8) There it is in rather simple language. This corrupt spirit has been defying, challenging and ridiculing the original intent of God and its time is up. God’s intent is the only thing that carries life and blessing. Anything outside of that is an enemy of God and will surely self destruct …with some help from Angel Armies.
Kathy — I believe it is essential that we know and teach the word and thereby expose and destroy the works of darkness. Nothing was ever created in hell. All hell can do is misuse God’s stuff. So, I pray we realize there is no need to forfeit God’s stuff just because it has been perverted or misused by lovers of darkness. Even if warfare does not end quickly in this present darkness, the ground taken in each battle is an investment for future wars and wins. 1Jn.3:8, Amplified — “The one who practices sin [separating himself from God, and offending Him by acts of disobedience, indifference, or rebellion] is of the devil [and takes his inner character and moral values from him, not God]; for the devil has sinned and violated God’s law from the beginning. Kathy — Works of darkness ultimately end in death. God makes the truth even more vivid pointing out to Pharaoh that He could have wiped out the nation rather than just plague it with blood, frogs, gnats, flies, death of livestock and boils. Yet Pharaoh stubbornly held his economic ace, intent upon keeping Israel as slaves. After the hail, Pharaoh was so strung out on his greed that he would not even listen to rational counsel from his own ranks. His own servants asked him if he understood that the plagues had destroyed Egypt and that he needed to get Moses out of the country! After the locusts, the Lord gave them a taste of the deep darkness they were allied with. Pharaoh tried at this point to negotiate saying they could leave but not take their livestock. His greed still blinded him to his hopeless situation. When Moses would not negotiate, Pharaoh banished him and threatened to kill him if he ever came before him again. Moses said, “You have spoken truly; I will never see your face again.” The lesson was over for both nations. The firstborn, the pride, the joy, the hope, the future of Egypt died. Discerning works or workers of darkness may not always be as obvious as in the showdown between Moses and the Egyptian magicians. It will not always be their acts and abilities that expose workers of darkness, but being confronted with truth and light will always reveal their motive and their source of power. The showdown between Moses and the magicians exposed everything.
As the people of God assemble today may they be encouraged that He Who is the Truth is bringing the light of truth to bear upon the false, the lies, the attempts at misdirection in both sight and sound in what is reported and purported as facts in national news. May the people of God know that He is nudging workers of darkness out of their shadows and truth will be coming forth in coming months that will cause works of unrighteousness to point back at their perpetrators so that justice may be served and those who have been recipients of injustice may be avenged. Job 34:2-23, Msg — ““He has his eyes on every man and woman. He doesn’t miss a trick. There is no night dark enough, no shadow deep enough, to hide those who do evil. God doesn’t need to gather any more evidence; their sin is an open-and-shut case.”
There are mountains for the people of God to rule in. There are seven mountains or mind-molders of culture: 1) religion 2) family 3) education 4) government 5) media 6) arts 7) finance. Every believer is to have some degree of influence at some level in one (or more) of those mountains. According to the mandate of God upon his people as far back as the Book of Genesis, we are to rule in those mountains. (Gen.1:26) There are “giants” in those valleys between the 7 mountains. They oppose the advancement of the Kingdom of God. As long as there is a Kingdom of Light and a kingdom of darkness, there will be opposition. The kingdom of darkness must be confronted and contradicted in each of its expressions. Jesus called us “light” (Mt.5:14). The Holy Spirit-energized church is the only entity on this earth to keep darkness in check.
There are two kingdoms that are recognized in Holy Scripture, the Kingdom of Light and the kingdom of darkness (Col.1:12-13; Acts 26:18). “I pray that you will be grateful to God for letting you have part in what He has promised His people in the kingdom of light. 13God rescued us from the dark power of Satan and brought us into the kingdom of his dear Son,”(Col.1:12-13, CEV)As long as there is a kingdom of darkness, the Kingdom of Light will never form a treaty nor will the two kingdoms ever even sit down for a parlay; there will never be a cease-fire nor an armistice; total hostilities will never cease because they will each be opposed to the other and must, by nature, contradict one another. The very nature and purpose of each of the kingdoms sets them, perpetually, at odds with the other. It is not possible to exist in a “no-man’s-land” between the two — neither is there any neutral ground. There is either the embracing/participation of Light and the works of the Light or the embracing/participation of darkness and the works of darkness (Rom.13:12; Eph.5:11). I asked to understand why the power of the air could get to and maintain such a fiercenessof warfare in a particular region I had been praying over.I heard the words, “10 layers” and then I realizedthis power had been steadily gaining and reigning for decades, and the powers that be, those residing rulers of darkness in this region, have tenure.The air has been repeatedly conditioned as men’s choices, acts and decisions have remained “under the influence.”However, Goliath, no matter how big he grew was born to fall, and no matter how many opponents he fought on the way, the confrontation with David was his appointed demise.God’s “due time” appointments involve the intersection of time, place, circumstances and specific people.It is obviously due time for God’s order to prevail in the atmosphere of that region.That explains why the warfare has peaked to a crisis turning point.Decades of decisions and their results over that region are being set up like dominoes, poised for knocking down.(Kathy Gabler)

Fear of the perceived possibilities of dark calamity and destruction of society and cherished comfort zones pervades pulpits, parishioners and personal lives. BUT, wait, I think I found a SECRET in John 8! ”Jesus said to the people, ‘I am the Light of the world. So if you follow me, you won’t be stumbling through the darkness, for living light will flood your path.’” (Jn.8:12, LB) The greater the darkness, the brighter the light. You cannot turn on darkness and get light to flee but you can turn on light and watch darkness flee.

I have heard it said that it doesn’t matter how strong or deep the darkness is, one ray of light is enough to disperse it.
“Here’s another way to put it: You’re here to be light, bringing out the
God-colors in the world. God is not a secret to be kept. We’re going
public with this, as public as a city on a hill.” (Matt.5:14, Msg)
In spite of the angle of descent of morals and values, in spite of what the world money market looks like, in spite of what the state of the union looks like, we stand on the brink of a destiny that our forefathers never imagined. But it will require our moving from waiters and observers to acting. It will require shifting, transition and intense exertion; the “violent” action of Matt.11:12 which means “intense exertion.” It is not violent in the sense of doing persons harm but in the sense of putting forth effort in opposition to things that oppose purpose. We must oppose darkness like opposing a rattlesnake trying to crawl up in our bed.

Destiny To Confront Jesus came to this earth to confront and contradict darkness. Upon occasion after occasion, He undid what darkness had done. He did not do that on a couple of auspicious occasions that happened to be remembered, but He did it on a regular basis. Jesus was the embodiment of the authority and power of God to do something about darkness. (Lk 1:79; Jn 8:12; 12:46) Jesus confronted darkness and contradicted it. They brought blind people to Him, He confronted blindness and contradicted it with sight. They brought lame people to Him and instead of going and calling the pastor to go visit them, he confronted lameness and contradicted it with strength and mobility. He confronted demon possession and contradicted it with liberty of the Spirit. The purpose of our Lord, the demonstration of our Lord and our destiny cannot be separated. It is the destiny of the Church to be the embodiment of the authority and power of God so we might confront and contradict darkness in this present generation. seecministries.org
