The Kingdom is in Reach

KATHY GABLER—In our culture, when we hear the word “government,”  most people think politics.  However, when God says “government,” He thinks relationship.  When we hear “dominion”, we think aspiring to a throne, but when God says “dominion,” He thinks obedience.  Our thinking is really distorted if we think of dominion as arrogantly doing what we want, when we want.  That’s not dominion, that’s just ditzy-dingy!  We see why Jesus said, “Repent,” before He said “the Kingdom is in reach.”  It’s going to take changing our minds and thinking past our experience and our environment and our examples and our personal agendas to reach for the order of heaven and bring it into the earth.
