Promises of God are Many

The promises of God are many and varied. There are promises of provision, of wingsenabling for tasks and callings, of persons whom I will bless and persons who will bless me and of doors opening that will bring the actualization of those promises. Promises are those solid stones we step on when moving in the direction of purpose. They are like wings on an airplane that hold the engines and give the fuselage lift.

The Clutter Dream

One common type of dream that many people have is a clutter dream.  This sort of dream clears out thought-clutter and gives you room to think, (like at times you have to clean your bedroom to be able to get to the bed to sleep!)  Pieces of things Dream Anxietyyou have seen or read or felt or heard or smelled or done or wondered about or talked about in the last three weeks are swept into one giant clutter pile in a dream.  So that night you have a really strange dream adventure like this:  you are the superhero star in the movie trailer you saw.  Then while you swing your sword of justice, you keep smelling the dog poop you stepped in on Tuesday, and you hear a grizzly bear behind you because you saw pictures of Alaska in a magazine.  Then, because you ran into a lady at the mall that reminded you of your Grandma, when you look around you discover it’s not a grizzly behind you.  It’s Grandma riding a reindeer!  That is a strange adventure dream with clutter gathered from everything that has crossed your awareness.  There is usually no important message in a clutter dream.  They simply clear out thought clutter to de-stress you, mind and body.  In fact, the Hebrew word for dream means “restore to health”.  So, a house-cleaning or de-cluttering dream is a valuable way to relieve stress and reset mentally. (Second excerpt from Kathy’s article “Realizing the Value of our Dreams”)

Moving Toward Order

rocksinalignment

If you are going after destiny, you will find yourself on a collision path with the order of God. Any movement toward order will expose something that doesn’t belong in your life. The destiny of Jesus will bring you into order.  “Direct my steps by Your word, And let no iniquity have dominion over me.” (Ps.119:133, NKJV)

Realizing the Value of our Dreams

(Kathy Gabler)—God gave us many ways to communicate: we can speak or refuse to speak, (both send a message); we can sing, whistle, make a face,  gesture, write, NightCloudsMoondraw and we can also dream.  Dreaming is a direct line of communication like our own personal telephone.  Our mind and body can communicate in a dream.  For example, if your legs are aching because you played too many sets of tennis and you dream your legs fall off that night, that is not God sending you a warning in a dream. That is just your mind or imagination messaging your body with a drastic option to relieve the pain while you sleep! (First excerpt from Kathy’s article “Realizing the Value of our Dreams”)

Draw Life

As the people of God assemble today may they hear the Word of Life and may their worshipinghearts and minds be turned upon Him who is their life and may they draw life from His presence; life for spiritual strength, life for well-being both in body and emotion, and draw life that it might be passed on to others so those others might know that Jesus lives and is their Hope.  “But these are written (recorded) in order that you may believe that Jesus is the Christ (the Anointed One), the Son of God, and that through believing and cleaving to and trusting and relying upon Him you may have life through (in) His name [through Who He is].” (Jn.20:31, Amp)

The Lord Restore Your Health

people-runningMay the Lord our Sustainer restore you limb for limb, organ for organ and blood cell for blood cell. May you feel His regenerating power flow through you today.  “And He said to her, Daughter, your faith (your trust and confidence in Me, springing from faith in God) has restored you to health. Go in (into) peace and be continually healed and freed from your [distressing bodily] disease.” (Mk.5:34, Amp)

Where do You Get a Promise?

Where or how do you get the promise of God? All I know is that one day I suddenly came to the realization that, over time, God has given me certain promises. Knowing the desires of my heart in prayer and meditation on His Word, God has MountainPrayinggiven promises at those times also. But most often it has been like little discoveries, one here and one there. It’s something like, “I have God’s assurance on ‘that.’ It’s already done!”  Some promises include the fact that He will work in and through me to bring about the promise. Others, He has worked in persons and situations in such a way that all I could do was just stand back and be amazed (cf.Rom.4:20-21). There is an overall promise and purpose and as I have walked in it I have received other promises, some of which have already been realized.  “He did not waver at the promise of God through unbelief, but was strengthened in faith, giving glory to God, 21 and being fully convinced that what He had promised He was also able to perform.” (Rom.4:20-21, NKJV)  (From Marty Gabler’s book “Sheep Have Short Legs”.)

The Holy Spirit in You

You are more than your constituent parts by the power of the Holy Spirit. In your HoldArmsOutconstituent parts, you are arms and legs and head and torso and talent and ability but by the power of the Holy Spirit you are much more today. In you, the Holy Spirit will be more than you are and, in you, He will do more than you can do. He will be what you are not and do what you cannot do.  “But you shall receive power (ability, efficiency, and might) when the Holy Spirit has come upon you, and you shall be…” (Acts 1:8, Amp)

Faithful to His Promises

Our Holy Father is faithful to His promises. What is a promise anyway? It is something that began in the heart of a compassionate God. It is not something that HandsPouringGrainHe has to give us (cf.1Co. 2:12). The promises of God are what it is His desire to give us (cf.2Co. 1:20;Heb.6:17). Yet it is not like putting money in a vending machine, pushing a button and the drink we selected simply falls out into our hand. A “promise of God” is something that begins in His heart and is worked out in us through circumstances (cf.Phil.1:6), people (cf.Gen.45:7-8) AND TIME (cf.Heb.11:8-11). (Excerpt from Marty Gabler’s book “Sheep Have Short Legs”)

No Chain too Great for God to Break

There are certain things we can expect if we have been “eating” things like the gruel of bitterness or disappointment. Such a diet renders one unable to give birth. There is no birthing of the promise of God in an embittered spirit. That which God ChainsBreakingdesires to perform in and through us has no “fertile womb” in which it can be conceived when infected by bitterness. A wounded spirit is more difficult to heal than a broken body. It is more subtle, yet more devastating.  Cf.”A cheerful heart is good medicine, but a crushed spirit dries up the bones (Prov.17:22).”  Fraud, adultery and divisions in organized religion have not together taken a toll on the church to the extent that embittered spirits have. But no matter how devastated you may be, God has prepared deliverance. Before Israel could even come up with a plan of escape, God had a plan in a deliverer called Moses. No prison or chain is too great or too old for God to break (cf.Jer.30:8).

Something Unusual

Something quite unusual that has been happening is that the Lord has been giving me dreams on Saturday night for persons who are going to be in the service on Sunday. On one Saturday night I dreamed that I walked into a yard and a lady in her mid-fifties came out of that house and we had a brief conversation. We said our good-byes and then I began to walk back into the yard I had come from. The lady’s WalkWaterDreamhouse had a cement porch about eight feet wide and it ran the full length of the front of the house. As I neared the end of the house the porch dropped down about a foot and ran the last four feet like that. Leaves had collected back in that dropped-down area, I noticed something white down in the leaves. It looked to me like it might be the top of a golf ball. I started to reach down for it but suddenly felt checked. I then straightened up and when I did, a large copperhead snake crawled out of the area where that ball was and crawled up onto a small shelf that was sitting among the leaves. I shared the dream on Sunday and shared that I believed it was a warning for someone who was present. After the service a lady in her mid-fifties walked up and said that I had described her house and porch perfectly. Her husband had left the day before for business on the East Coast and told her to stay away from those leaves at the end of the porch. Her little two-year-old granddaughter had been staying with her Friday and Saturday and, over the course of the two days, had repeatedly said, “Granny, don’t pet the snakes”! But the lady had planned on ignoring her husband and planned on cleaning out that area Monday morning, that is, until she heard the warning Sunday. Her son-in-law had killed a nest of copperheads on the other end of the porch last year. She told me that it took my sharing that dream to shake her and get her attention that the Lord had already been trying to warn her about snakes.

Our awesome God is the God of the moment. He is able to communicate with His sons and daughters in a moment of time and He is able to save us in ways we have not seen or heard or imagined… until He does it. But as Scripture says: “No eye has seen, no ear has heard, and no mind has imagined the things that God has prepared for those who love him.” (1Cor.2:9, GW)… UNTIL NOW!  (Last excerpt from Marty’s article “God of the Moment”)

Embrace and Encourage

HandReachingHand

As the people of God assemble today may we discern the trouble that people walk in and lovingly stand with them in the midst of it and be, at least a part of, that Hand of God that is stretched out to comfort and affirm. May we embrace them and give them an encouraging word to stand on.  “Though I walk in the midst of trouble, You will revive me; You will stretch out Your hand Against the wrath of my enemies, And Your right hand will save me.”(Ps.138:7, NKJV)

How to Limit the Unlimited God

How to limit the unlimited God —   “…they turned back and tempted God, and WildernessLeavinglimited the Holy One of Israel.” (Ps78:41) M.Henry says they limited Him to their way and their time. One can’t limit God in His wider purpose but one can limit His moving in their life. “Limited” means they circumscribed Him with bounds, virtually saying that there are some things which He cannot do; up to a certain point He has power, but after that He has not.(J-F-B) Yet, we continually long to see and experience what is beyond normal. Giving the limitless God full reign in one’s life may call for cooperating with measures and methods we have not thought normal.

From Stuck to Moving

In Kentucky, a lady walked up and told me what the Lord had done for her when I was there six months earlier. She had been sitting in the service with a damaged HandsRaisedWorshipshoulder. She had to cradle her left arm with her right arm and was in very much pain. She said that she was beginning to wonder if she was going to be able to stay in the service because her shoulder was hurting so bad. She said that her muscles were torn in three places and she was already scheduled for surgery. I had a word of knowledge that the Lord was healing a shoulder. She said that, immediately, the pain stopped! She thought, “Wow, I might be healed!” She let go of her left arm and there was still no pain. She moved her arm out to the side and still no pain. She then began to move it around in a circle and discovered that she had no pain whatsoever! She had to cancel the surgery. And six months later, she showed me that she was still healed and could vigorously move that arm around without any pain. Praise the name of the Lord! (5th excerpt from Marty’s article “God of the Moment”)

Splinters Being Removed

splinter2I ask, Father, that You act by the power of Your Holy Spirit and move in hearts and minds to remove the false perceptions of the faults in past relationships. I ask that the nagging sense of failure or irresponsibility be removed, especially where no cause for culpability was given.  I declare that the remaining, grievous splinters, of what was, are being removed by the moving of your hand in hearts and in lives.  “Imagine a person who lives well, treating others fairly, keeping good relationships—” (Eze.18:5, Msg)

More Than Just One

On occasion, we come across people who talk as though God can heal one thing they are dealing with but He won’t or simply isn’t interested in healing the other things they are congregation prayingsuffering from. In one service, a lady walked up afterward and pretty much communicated that she felt a little frustrated because she felt she had to choose one of several physical needs that had been mentioned in words of knowledge (as though one is all she could have). Recently I ministered three or four words of knowledge in a Sunday service. Monday afternoon the pastor called Kathy and told her that she had received an overhaul in her body in the service. She had been suffering from all of the physical issues mentioned in the words of knowledge that morning. Now she was free of pain and was able to move limbs that had been hindered before. (4th excerpt from Marty’s article “God of the Moment”)

Thankful My Prayer is Heard

HandsPrayingI am thankful, Holy Father, that my prayer is heard and it is not in vain.  I declare that I will relentlessly continue in prayer and thanksgiving before my God who hears and acts in my behalf. “Let my prayer be set before You as incense,The lifting up of my hands as the evening sacrifice.” (Ps.141:2, NKJV)

God of the Moment in the Abdomen

In a meeting recently I had a word of knowledge about a raw stomach and raw intestines and Kathy had one about problems with the mind and with thoughts. PraiserejoiceThat was in the service on Saturday night. For three years a lady’s stomach and intestines have been raw and she was able to eat only certain kinds of food. She had to carry her food with her everywhere she went because certain foods could have caused her death. She said that her body was eating itself. She also had a swollen liver that protruded from her abdomen about the size of half a grapefruit. Everything going on in her body and all the medications were having an effect on her mind and thought processes. She was having great difficulty at work because she could not keep her thoughts on a concept long enough to get it written out in a complete thought. But when she heard the words of knowledge, the pain stopped and her swollen liver went down. Sunday morning she testified that she was still without pain and that she had eaten sausage and cheese for breakfast which she had not eaten in three years! Her thoughts were clear and she had no pain. He is the God of the moment. (3rd excerpt from Marty’s article “God of the Moment”)

Point Out the Path

As the people of God assemble today, may He use our instructors to clearly point out the path for us to walk on. May we hear and see all the truths, directions and wise instructions that bring us to the path of Light so that we may go victoriously throughout our lives displaying the worth and value of a life lived according to the unfailing Word of God. May unbelievers observe and inquire about the road that Jesus pioneered for us. “. . . Point out the road I must travel; I’m all ears, all eyes before you.” (Ps.143:8, Msg)

May the Lord Fight for Us

May the Lord help us to get done everything we need to get done this year. May we be able to reach cooperative contacts who will facilitate linking us up with the people and resources necessary for our goals. May filled-out forms and applications gain the notice of those who have the capability to act in accordance with our needs. May the Lord hold in check those who might try to take advantage of our situation and include more steps than necessary in order to charge more than is necessary. May the Lord fight in our behalf. “The Lord will fight for you, and you shall hold your peace and remain at rest.” (Ex.14:14, Amp)

Happened in the Moment

More and more often these days we are seeing or hearing about the Lord God doing awesome things in a moment of time that we have desired and prayed to see for SunlightCloudsGolddecades. A scientist who had suffered from a disease for 34 years was healed in a moment. I had a word of knowledge that described what he had been dealing with. He told me that while he was very thankful for the sudden healing, he was just a bit disappointed. He had heard people give testimonies about miracles and the awesome things that they felt or heard or saw in the event, but he told me he was disappointed that he didn’t feel or see anything. He said that, without anything unusual taking place, he was suddenly, completely healed while standing with his hands lifted. (2nd excerpt from Marty’s article “God of the Moment”)

Father Grant you Good Times

In days to come, as you walk before God Most High in the light of His Word and trust in Him, may our beneficent Father grant you good times, happy times and Celebratinglaughingtimes of celebration. May you look to the future expecting to see the goodness of God in your life and the lives of your family. Don’t be defeated by what appears to be on the horizon. Don’t be disheartened by rumors and every story that finds flight on the fancy of someone’s fears or imagination. May our merciful Father God send delightful surprises your way and grant you good times, happy times and times of celebration.  (2Chron.6:41b, Msg) “…let your holy people celebrate goodness…”  We are praying you discover daily God’s goodness working in your life.

God of the Moment

God Almighty is the God of the moment. He acts in a moment’s time. Things the Lord declared suddenly came to pass (Isa.48:3, Amp); Sodom was overthrown in a Lightningstreaksbluemoment (Lam.4:6, Amp); in a moment, the dead in Christ shall be raised imperishable (1Cor.15:52, Amp); enemies turned back in a moment (Ps.6:10, ESV); a nation can be born in a moment (Isa.66:8, LEB); Israel went out of Egypt suddenly (Deut.16:3, WYC); God enabled Joshua to come upon the enemy suddenly (Josh.10:9;11:7, Amp); the house of God was suddenly filled with a cloud (2Chron.5:13, WYC); the service of the house of the Lord was restored suddenly (2Chron.29:36, Amp); after instructing the Israelites to dig trenches in a dry valley so they and their animals could drink while under attack from the enemy, rain water that had fallen three days journey away suddenly filled them (2K.3:20, Amp); suddenly, a man dressed in bright, dazzling clothing stood before Cornelius (Acts 10:30, Amp);suddenly a sound came from heaven like a rushing violent wind (Acts 2:2, Amp). (From Marty’s article “God of the Moment”)

Joined at the Hip

Be careful who you get “joined at the hip” with. Which direction might they drag back-to-backyou? Are they wanting to join with you for your benefit and the benefit of the Kingdom or just for what they can get out of the joining?  “Do not be unequally yoked . . . [do not make mismated alliances. . .] ” (2Cor.6:14, Amp)  “…Don’t link up with those who will pollute you. I want you all for myself.” (2Cor.6:17, Msg)
