Figure Holy Spirit Into the Equation
I was praying about our nation. I was listing the issues and the chaos and the unrighteousness. It was then that I saw a vision of a boxing ring. A man in a tux walked out into the center of the ring, took the microphone and announced the fight. He pointed to his left and said, “In this corner is anarchy,
liberalism, atheism, existentialism, failing morals and failing values.” The crowd would gasp in horror each time the announcer would list another of the creature’s attributes. Each time he listed another name or description, the dark creature in that corner grew another inch and gained another 20 pounds until he menacingly filled that corner of the ring. Then I heard a voice cry out and ask, “But who will figure the Holy Spirit into the equation? Who will announce Him?” In the vision I jumped to my feet and cried aloud, “I will!” I climbed into the ring, took the microphone and said, “BUT in THIS corner is the One who, in the beginning when the earth was without form, and void; and darkness [was] upon the face of the deep, this One, the Spirit of God moved upon the face of the waters and chaos was changed into order!” The crowd jumped to their feet and began to shout until the roar was deafening. The whole atmosphere changed.
Don’t count out the Holy Spirit. Too many people are climbing into the ring of discussion and opinion, taking the mic and announcing the negative. Every time we announce the negative, we give it more size and weight in our thinking and the thinking of others. David overcame his enemies but reported this pattern while he was doing it: “From the rising of the sun to its setting The name of the Lord is to be praised.” (Ps113:3)

2017 Declaration #2
In 2017 you will be reminded of potential in people. Kid’s Declaration: 2. People are awesome and God will help us see that. Looking beyond their faults, our eyes will be opened to their potential. We will be enabled to do that by Holy Spirit, by compassion of Christ; that means we will have to lean on Him for that. We will become aware of potential in them that we were not previously aware of. We will speak to that potential, we will have words of wisdom for them, words of release that will propel them into potential. ”Be humble and gentle. Be patient with each other, making allowance for each other’s faults because of your love.”(Eph.4:2, Living Bible)

Operator! Restore my line of communication!
“Operator! Restore my line of communication!” Being connected is of utmost importance. As important as being connected is in this time of history,
we must wisely choose and guard our connections. Jesus had the most valuable connection of all, connection with the Father and His desire was that we might experience that connection. The Father set things up in such a way that we may have connection with Him through Jesus so that we can experience the fellowship and victories Jesus experienced. Jesus prayed for you in Jn 17:2—“I pray that all of these people continue to have unity in the way that you, Father, are in me and I am in you.” (GW) We are praying you discover daily that your connection with Father God is completely intact. 2017 Declaration #1
Things you have had to dig your way out of in the past, you will just step out of this year. Kid’s Declaration: 1. It will be easy to get unstuck. “I have declared the former things [which happened to Israel] in times past; They went forth from My mouth and I proclaimed them; Suddenly I acted, and they came to pass.” (Isa.48:3, Amp) (Declaration #1 from the 2017 Declarations. The Kid’s version was written by Brian and Hannah Sherman.)

Take Hope
Take hope. Though you are opposed, God is for you, not against you. May our Lord do restorative works in you so that what the enemy meant for evil may be turned to defeat him; so that what the enemy did to prevent your gifts and energies and capabilities from being released, might be totally redeemed and come forth as a glorious praise to God as others receive and are blessed from that work being done in you. (Gen.50:20, NASB) [Joseph said,] ”As for you, you meant evil against me, but God meant it for good in order to bring about this present result, to preserve many people alive.” We are praying you discover daily that your redeeming God is defeating the enemy by using your circumstances for good. Expectancy for the Coming Year

As the people of God assemble today may they join hands and hearts and look toward the coming year with expectancy for the purposes of the Lord in each other and the victorious intervention of the Lord in their behalf.
“Paul, Silvanus (Silas), and Timothy, to the assembly (church) of the Thessalonians in God the Father and the Lord Jesus Christ (the Messiah): Grace (spiritual blessing and divine favor) to you and [heart] peace.” (1Thess.1:1, Amp)

Soul-Conflicts and Ulcers
Soul-conflicts cause ulcers rather than faith. An “ulcer of the soul” is inflammation like agitation, offense, irritation, anger, fear, etc. A wound of the
soul is from our history or experience. Neither of those is the starting place for effectual prayer because “ulcers” and wounds can keep us from seeing from God’s perspective. A timely example is that it cripples our faith to pray for our nation if we think God will not interrupt hell’s assignments against our nation. Since 2017 is part of our watch, we can anticipate God’s intervention in our nation this year as we pray and neutralize contradictions that influence daily.

Connected to the Vine
The cell phone ad showed two young adults speaking who have just met. The young man says, “I felt there was a connection between us. Do you feel
the same way?” But, the signal drops. She begins her positive response to him, but is not heard. The silence on the other end of the line confirms his worst fears of rejection. The message is that the future could be lost if one does not have the proper connection. It is of the utmost importance to be properly connected to the right party. (Jn.15:5, Msg) [Jesus said,] “…When you’re joined with Me and I with you, the harvest is sure to be abundant. Separated, you can’t produce a thing.” We are praying you discover daily that you are staying connected to Jesus, the Vine.

Agree With God and Interrupt Evil
Let us not be sabotaged by contradictions within our own thinking and beliefs. For example, a common misunderstanding among churched people is
that we must expect and allow world conditions to get worse. However, the concept of passively allowing evil to be successful contradicts God’s Word and character. An unfailing principle of the Word is seedtime and harvest, whether it is good seed and good harvest or bad seed and bad harvest. So, world conditions get worse when evil sown comes to harvest. While that is a fact, the contradiction we need to be aware of here is that does not mean that getting worse is God’s will or original intent. We can agree with God and interrupt the sowing and reaping of evil. Thinking God intends to allow evil to succeed is contradictory to His character and principles, and that kind of mis-belief is a contradiction that causes conflict in our soul.

Concern for Safety
Concern for safety fills conversations as news broadcasts and depictions in movies portray upheavals in nations. Not only are many concerned about
the security of our national borders but are also concerned about the safety of our homes. Thankfully, we have available a Power that is greater than the powers of darkness. May Mighty God protect His people as they move about in public. May He keep them safe from harm and put angels in their path to protect them. May His hand suppress and prevent evil that lurks in darkness and subterfuge. (Ps.139:3, Msg) “You know when I leave and when I get back; I’m never out of your sight.” We are praying you discover daily that our gracious God is aware of your going out and your coming in.

Think According to God’s Word
If we just talk about what we sense or what is going on, that is like laying a ticking bomb in the laps of others instead of diffusing it! Anything that is
contradictory to God’s will should be confronted with God’s Truth. The Truth is Jesus. The truth is His Word and character and purpose in earth as in heaven, and we can speak it and release it as a counterforce to contradictions, and it will make a difference. As believers and sons of God we cannot be more focused on conditions than the Truth. If we intend to pray in faith, we must think according to His Word and principles and character, instead of falling into upset over circumstances.

Get a Deep Breath
As the people of God seek His face today may those whose hearts are heavy from failures, defeats and grief of the past lift their heads, get a deep breath and realize that they are part of the family of God and that they have strength and fellowship through Christ our Lord and the family of God to go on to victories in the coming days.
“But You, O Lord, are a shield for me, my glory, and the lifter of my head. 4 With my voice I cry to the Lord, and He hears and answers me out of His holy hill. Selah [pause, and calmly think of that]! (Ps.3:3-4, Amp)

2017: The Game Changer #2

(Melissa) 2017: The Game Changer #2 — Time to slay the victim mentality. We saw the victim mentality come to a head in 2016 and get whipped! You know that “Sleeping Giant” we’ve been talking about for a while? Well, it’s name is “No More”, and it woke up in the latter half of last year. No more victims for Christ. No more victimized churches. 2017 will see God’s original intent realized in many areas.

2017: The Game Changer
(Melissa) 2017: The Game Changer — While getting ready this morning I heard the Holy Spirit say, “Take this year one week at a time.” I found that very interesting. I kept wanting to make it one “day” at a time, but He didn’t say that! This is not about making plans for the year. This is in regard to day after day life. Particularly those things that have run their course and seemed delayed. That which needs clarity and resolve. Take it week by week. Take a deep breath, stand tall, and show this week who has the last word. Then, all of a sudden, things will change!

Demonstrating the Kingdom of God
Let us commit ourselves to more efficient demonstration of the Kingdom this year. More Kingdom demonstration will require less debate. More fathers being fathers will require fewer jail cells. More exemplary lifestyle will require less correction. More redemptive action will require fewer words.
”Thus I shall magnify Myself and demonstrate My greatness and sanctify Myself, and I will be recognized and will make Myself known in the sight of many nations; they will know [without any doubt] that I am the Lord.” (Eze.38:23, Amp)

2017 — Welcome Changes
KG — If you are battle-weary, I believe the new year, 2017, will bring welcome changes. I’m not implying battles will stop suddenly and everybody goes on vacation. I’m saying many long-term battles will end because you finally win. “Unrelenting disappointment leaves you heartsick, but a sudden good break can turn life around” (MSG, Pro 13:12). I expect some sudden good breaks in the year to come.

Led Into the Future
As the people of God assemble today, may they pray over the coming year with hearts of faith and expectancy and may they be led throughout the whole year by the hand of the Lord, and turn not from the path of His sure Word.
”They will come with weeping [in repentance and for joy], And by [their] prayer [for the future] I will lead them; I will make them walk by streams of waters, On a straight path in which they will not stumble,” (Jer.31:9, Amp)

Within God’s Timing
May the Lord cover us, rescue us and keep us from involving ourselves with those who are not intending to operate within the timing of Him who sets the times and works His plans accordingly. May our Lord save us from those who do not desire HIS calendar and those who simply neglect concern over His times. My times are in His Hand and I will not put them in the hands of any other. We need HIM every hour. “My times are in your hand…” (Ps.31:15, NKJV) “Desperate, I throw myself on you: you are my God! Hour by hour I place my days in your hand, safe from the hands out to get me.” (Ps.31:14-15, Msg)

Wisdom in Etiquette
Not all of us got everything our parents, family and tutors tried to get across to us as we have progressed through life. Occasionally (if not more often)
we say something or do something that isn’t in keeping with those things that are most proper in relating to others. For some of us, there are probably people who think we grew up on the back side of the wilderness without any effort from a parent to impart wisdom and etiquette. But God is wise and He is also good and merciful to the point that He will give us the wisdom in etiquette we have not absorbed thus far.
“But the wisdom from above is first pure [morally and spiritually undefiled], then peace-loving [courteous, considerate], gentle, reasonable [and willing to listen], full of compassion and good fruits. It is unwavering, without [self-righteous] hypocrisy [and self-serving guile].” (Js.3:17, Amp)
