O Father God, Crown the Year!

MELISSA  — “You crown the year with your bounty, and your paths overflow.” (Ps. 65:11 AMP) “Crown” here is the Hebrew word “atar”. It means to encircle for protection. So, we really are tiptoeing into something big in 2023 and we are protected as we approach our reveal. And let’s just top it off, “Your paths overflow” says 2023 is marked with abundance. The biggest fight we have at this point is truly believing our God is as good as He really is!

Hide In God

As the people of God assemble in their homes and around their computer screens to Under Wing.jpgjoin in worship and the Word may they be strengthened, encouraged and comforted by the life of the risen Christ Who has already risen victorious over the grave, let alone any other life-defying thing. May they hide in Yahweh Who is the God of heaven and earth and the One Who protects and sustains His children. “Please, God, show me mercy!Open your grace-fountain for me, for you are my soul’s true shelter. I WILL HIDE beneath the shadow of your embrace, under the wings of your cherubim, until this terrible trouble is past.” (Ps.57:1, TPT)

Safety for Our Children

We are concerned for our children today, Holy Father. We pray that, where earthly fathers have failed, You reach out Your protecting Hand and speak with Your Children_flag poleguiding Voice to the children and Youth of our nation. We pray that Your Presence would be known on our school campuses through the believers that are on site and that Your Holy Spirit would strengthen and give wisdom to the teachers and school officials for the appropriate education and safety of our children.   We declare that the hand of the Lord is moving in behalf of our children and that no spirit or enemy that has designs on harming or destroying them shall succeed. We declare that no weapon formed against this generation will prosper. We declare an awakening of the righteous purpose of  Almighty God in this generation that they might live righteously, courageously, and effectively to Your glory.  “I do not ask that You will take them out of the world, but that You will keep and protect them from the evil one.” (Jn.17:15, Amp)

Under My Father’s Shadow

When I was a small boy, there was a huge German Shepherd that would come trotting down our street every day. To my young eyes, looking through our backyard fence, he looked as big as a horse. I would tremble trying to hide behind the gatepost and hoped he did not look my way or come up our driveway. One day my father was standing outside the fence, in the driveway, talking to our neighbor. I was standing next to him. That dreaded wolf-like creature came trotting down the street and looked right at me as he passed. I simply put my arm around my father’s powerful leg, looked right at that hell-hound and stuck my tongue out as far as I could! I had no fear and wasn’t in the least concerned because I was convinced my father could handle anything that slobbering, long-toothed denizen-of-the-hood might attempt. If I am overshadowed, I don’t have a shadow. If I am hidden in the shadow of my Father, I am so close that HE is the one who is seen and I am afforded His protective covering.  ”He who dwells in the secret place of the Most High shall remain stable and fixed under the shadow of the Almighty [Whose power no foe can withstand].” (Ps.91:1, AMPC)

Trust to Dwell

Trust keeps the door open to dwell in His presence.  We stay around those we trust.  Ps.84:11 “For the Lord God is a sun and shield; The Lord bestows grace and favor and honor; No good thing will He withhold from those who walk uprightly.” Trust is the gateway to God’s intentions for us, equipping, protection, grace, favor and all good things.  It makes sense that the summation of this Psalm is, “O Lord of hosts, How blessed and greatly favored is the man who trusts in You.” On top of being born to trust, these are compelling reasons to do so.  (This is the sixth excerpt from the article “Trustworthy” by Melissa Gabler in SEEC Magazine.)

Wall of Protection

May the wall of our Lord’s protection be drawn around His people today; around their property, their belongings, their good name, their accounts and passwords.

“You are all around me—in front of me and in back of me.  You lay your hand on me.” (Ps.139:5, GW)

Concern for Safety

Concern for safety fills conversations as news broadcasts and depictions in movies portray upheavals in nations. Not only are many concerned about warriorangelthe security of our national borders but are also concerned about the safety of our homes. Thankfully, we have available a Power that is greater than the powers of darkness.  May Mighty God protect His people as they move about in public. May He keep them safe from harm and put angels in their path to protect them. May His hand suppress and prevent evil that lurks in darkness and subterfuge.  (Ps.139:3, Msg) “You know when I leave and when I get back; I’m never out of your sight.”  We are praying you discover daily that our gracious God is aware of your going out and your coming in.
