Don’t Live a Lesser Version of What God Intended

MARTY GABLER—As the people of God assemble today, may they realize there is no reason for us to live a lesser version of what God intended us to be. Let each of us provoke others to be what they were born to be.   “….keep a firm grip on the faith. The suffering won’t last forever. It won’t be long before this generous God who has great plans for us in Christ—eternal and glorious plans they are!—will have you put together and on your feet for good. He gets the last word; yes, he does.” (1Pe.5:9b-11, Msg)

Let go of Condemnation

MARTY GABLER—As the people of God assemble today, may they let go of every ounce of condemnation that they may be able to freely speak or act in the King’s behalf at any given moment. May they graciously encourage one another to walk free of the memories and accusations associated with past actions and begin to rejoice as a horse let out of the stall.  “THEREFORE, [there is] now no condemnation (no adjudging guilty of wrong) for those who are in Christ Jesus, who live [and] walk not after the dictates of the flesh, but after the dictates of the Spirit.” (Rom 8:1, Amp)

By His Boundless Mercy

Marty Gabler–As the people of God assemble today may they, in unity, declare: “Praised (honored, blessed) be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ (the Messiah)! By His boundless mercy we have been born again to an ever-living hope through the resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead, (1Pe.1:3, Amp)

Desire to Show Power of God

Marty—As the people of God assemble today, may their hearts be filled with desire and expectancy to show forth the power of God as well as His words and principles of truth, doctrine and theology. May the naysayers that oppose and argue against the Spirit of Christ be speechless as they hear of and witness the powerful Word of God in action as lives are redeemed, bodies healed and signs and wonders loosed that point back to Jesus the risen Christ.  “And my speech and my preaching was not with enticing words of man’s wisdom, but in demonstration of the Spirit and of power:  5 That your faith should not stand in the wisdom of men, but in the power of God.” (1Cor.2:4-5, KJV)

The Lord Break Through Every Barrier

Marty Gabler–As the people of God assemble today, may they find the Lord Most High breaking through every barrier to their hearts and minds and even dividing asunder of soul and spirit. May the Lord break through every barrier of disappointment, every barrier thrown up to protect ourselves after we were hurt, every barrier of resolve where we have decided not to be vulnerable to others again. (Lk.1:78, Msg) “Through the heartfelt mercies of our God, God’s Sunrise will break in upon us, 79 Shining on those in the darkness, those sitting in the shadow of death, Then showing us the way, one foot at a time, down the path of peace.”

Confidence in the Will of God

Marty Gabler—As the people of God assemble today may their confidence in God and His will be renewed as they face every trial and discouragement. May our Lord help them endure and accomplish all that He has designed for them to walk in. Hebrews 10:35-36,Amp—“Do not, therefore, fling away your [fearless] confidence, for it has a glorious and great reward. 36 For you have need of patient endurance [to bear up under difficult circumstances without compromising], so that when you have carried out the will of God, you may receive and enjoy to the full what is promised.”

Give and Receive Accordingly

Marty–As the people of God assemble today may the Lord Most High grant you the edification of each member of the Body of Christ knowing that the eye needs the hand and the hand the eye. May He cause us to be aware of each other’s giftings and give and receive accordingly for the building up of the Body in love. I declare that this is a division-free day in the Body of Christ that He may be glorified and the powers of darkness may be stymied in their attempts to divide and conquer. 1Co12:25—“so that there may be no division in the body, but that the members may have the same care for one another.”

Hearts of Fathers

As the people of God assemble today, may hearts of fathers be turned to the coming generation. May fathers in our congregations discern the potential of the youth around them and let their hearts be turned to affirming them, encouraging them and enabling them on to their destiny in Christ. May this be the most memorable Father’s Day with fathers and children turned to each other in love and in honor, grasping the heavenly Father’s heart for the generations to glorify His intent. Ps.115:14, TLB—“May the Lord richly bless both you and your children.”

He is Able to Fulfill What He Promised

As the people of God assemble today may their hearts and minds be flooded with the freshness of the promises and callings of Yahweh upon their lives. May they give thanks and rejoice in the faithfulness of Him Who is “able to fulfill that which He has promised” (Rom.4:21). Then, may they stand firm upon Him and His Word even though the “flowers fade and the grass withers”. Isa.40:8,ESV—“The grass withers, the flower fades, but the Word of our God will stand forever.”

God and His Word Stand Forever

As the people of God assemble today, may they be taught, reminded, encouraged, assured that God’s Word is just like Him, “the same yesterday, today and forever”. May the people of God encourage one another to stand on His unfailing Word so that as the wind blows and the waves crash, the house will continue to stand. The grass withers, the flower fades, But the word of our God stands forever.” (Isa.40:8, NKJV)

Restoring Strength and Hope

As the people of God assemble today may they find strength in the areas where they have lost strength. May they find hope in the areas where they have lost hope. And may the return, replenishing and restoring of their hope and strength show obviously and may they shine like the noonday sun.
Lam.3:21-24,GNT–“Yet hope returns when I remember this one thing:  22  The Lord’s unfailing love and mercy still continue,  23  Fresh as the morning, as sure as the sunrise.  24  The Lord is all I have, and so in him I put my hope.

Abundance of Salvation and Wisdom in Our Times

As the people of God assemble today may they worship Yahweh in His holiness and His wisdom which shaped the world and keeps His people in the palm of His hand. May they receive the Father’s wisdom by His Word and His Spirit and may they share it one with another for resolve of trying pressures that seem unrelenting. Isa.33:6,Amp—“And there shall be stability in your times, an abundance of salvation, wisdom, and knowledge; the reverent fear and worship of the Lord is your treasure and His.”

God’s Promises Never Fail

As the people of God assemble today may they worship the name of the Most High God Yahweh because He is the same yesterday, today and forever. May they encourage one another to stand firm upon Him and His Word that cannot be shaken. May they gain courage and strength to face and overcome every storm that assails them. Josh.21:45, Amp–“There failed no part of any good thing which the Lord had promised to the house of Israel; all came to pass.”

Peace, Grace, Hope

As the people of God assemble today their hearts will receive the peace and grace of the Lord Jesus Christ and will not give in to the chaos being created by the powers of darkness. Therefore, they will take hope and act upon the Word of God and live and walk in His righteous Kingdom order.
1Cor.14:33,TPT—“For God is the God of harmony, not confusion,[a] as is the pattern in all the churches of God’s holy believers.”
Jn.14:27,TPT—“I leave the gift of peace with you—my peace. Not the kind of fragile peace given by the world, but my perfect peace. Don’t yield to fear or be troubled in your hearts—instead, be courageous!”

We Know Whom we Have Believed

As the people of God assemble today may they rejoice and be glad that they are not without hope, because they can confidently say, “I know Him [and I am personally acquainted with Him] whom I have believed [with absolute trust and confidence in Him and in the truth of His deity], and I am persuaded [beyond any doubt] that He is able to guard that which I have entrusted to Him until that day [when I stand before Him].” (2Tim.1:12,Amp)

To Stand up Again

Martha spoke of resurrection in terms of an end-time doctrine. JESUS spoke of resurrection in terms of that which is a present fact applicable to present circumstances. JESUS was challenging Martha to see it and experience it BEFORE the Last Day.  If JESUS cannot raise us from the death of failure (“death”: termination or extinction of something; cessation of all vital functions), from the death “of ceasing of function”, from the death of “not functioning because of fault or breakdown”, how can He raise us from the dust at the Last Day?
ResurrectionTombHere at Bethany, where JESUS is speaking to Martha, He is only two miles from Jerusalem where He healed one who had been diseased for 38 years; He healed one who had been blind since birth; now He raised one who had been dead for four days. Surely He can raise you up today. I like this definition of resurrection: “to stand up again.” Rejoice, it’s Resurrection Day! You can stand up again because Resurrection is a Person! (v.25) Jn.11:23—“Jesus said to her, “Your brother will rise again.”  24  Martha said to Him, “I know that he will rise again in the resurrection at the last day.”  25  Jesus said to her, “I AM THE RESURRECTION and the life. He who believes in Me, though he may die, he shall live.”

Warmth of God’s Love

WinterHugWarmAs the people of God assemble today let them rejoice in the warmth of God’s selfless, giving love. Rom.5:5, TLB — “Then, when that happens, we are able to hold our heads high no matter what happens and know that all is well, for we know how dearly God loves us, and we feel this warm love everywhere within us because God has given us the Holy Spirit to fill our hearts with his love.”

The Lord Bless Our Mothers

MotherChildren.jpegAs the people of God assemble today as best they can, may they support mothers young and old with encouragement and a helping hand and edify them with inspiring words from the Lord. May our mothers continue to find refuge and strength in the Lord God. We pray that mothers receive refreshing from the Lord and courage to admonish their children in His ways in coming days. “She is clothed with strength and dignity; she can laugh at the days to come.” (Prov.31:25) “Her children arise and call her blessed..” (v.28).

God Keep us in Perfect Peace

Rain Roof Runoff.jpgAs the people of God assemble today around their computers and smart phones and in church parking lots, may the peace of our Lord and Savior fall upon them like the spring rain and may it wash away weariness and worrisome thoughts that steal soundness of mind. “Thou wilt keep [him] in perfect peace, [whose] mind [is] stayed [on thee]: because he trusteth in thee.” (Isa.26:3)

Great is Thy Faithfulness

As the people of God assemble today around their family computers and in church GoodShepherdparking lots, may they reflect on and stand on the faithfulness of their Father God who “changest not” and His “compassions they fail not”, as He has forever been faithful to His people and consistent with His Word, so shall He in these days and days to come. “Know therefore that the Lord your God is God, the faithful God who keeps covenant and steadfast love with those who love him and keep his commandments, to a thousand generations,” (Deut.7:9, ESV)

Christ Arose!

A BLESSED RESURRECTION DAY AND RESURRECTION-POWER EXPERIENCE TO YOU AND YOURS!
Hymn: “Christ Arose” by Robert Lowry, 1874
(At the church my father pastored, along with “The Old Rugged Cross” and “He Lives” we sang this one every Easter. On the chorus when we sang the second “He arose!”, we held out the “arose” for a LONG time, along with shouts of “Amen”, “Glory” and “Hallelujah”.)

worship singingLow in the grave He lay,
Jesus, my Savior,
Waiting the coming day,
Jesus, my Lord!

Refrain:
Up from the grave He arose,
With a mighty triumph o’er His foes,
He arose a Victor from the dark domain,
And He lives forever, with His saints to reign.
He arose! He arose! Hallelujah! Christ arose!

Vainly they watch His bed,
Jesus, my Savior;
Vainly they seal the dead,
Jesus, my Lord!

Death cannot keep his Prey,
Jesus, my Savior;
He tore the bars away,
Jesus, my Lord!

Jesus Conquered

EmptyTombFound this quote in my notes:  “Jesus did not conquer in spite of the dark mystery of evil, He conquered through it.”

”… I died, but see, I am alive forevermore, and I have the keys of [absolute control and victory over] death and of Hades (the realm of the dead).(Rev.1:18, Amp)
