In Perfect Peace

As the people of God assemble today may they have Jehovah God Almighty at the forefront of their minds and their considerations. May they push aside all interferences and distractions as they freely worship Him and as they call upon Him. May the Lord Jesus Christ remain central to them throughout the week. Isa.26:3-4,Amp—“You will guard him and keep him in perfect and constant peace whose mind [both its inclination and its character] is stayed on You, because he commits himself to You, leans on You, and hopes confidently in You.  So trust in the Lord (commit yourself to Him, lean on Him, hope confidently in Him) forever; for the Lord God is an everlasting Rock [the Rock of Ages].”

Serious Savior for Serious Times

Yesterday morning we received three messages in one hour. We regularly hear about various negative, threatening apocalyptic-style things that are supposed to shake our nation and the globe like a bulldog that refuses to let go. In one post I wrote recently, I was attempting to show scripture that instructs us to trust God Almighty and focus on Him and His promises instead of focusing on all the relentless, negative reports. A person responded with a long treatise that basically said that they were very knowledgeable about what is going on and that I was just basically not taking it all seriously enough and I needed to adopt some of their practices and views so I can live through this. Nevertheless, here are three calls and three reports of the efficacy of God Almighty and God Almighty’s Word.

Now, back to the three reports we received in one hour. In spite of the demographics of the pandemic and all the reports by people who are very knowledgeable, we have an intercessor in their 80’s who has had all the symptoms of the much reported virus and has been tested for it six times and each time knowledgeable persons told them that the test was negative. After almost two months of undeniable symptoms, that intercessor of 80-plus years is gaining strength daily with no symptoms whatsoever. I have not told this to intimate that people shouldn’t take the present pandemic seriously. I have told it to say that Jesus the Savior and Healer is still Savior and Healer. His power and abilities and compassion do not lessen the more serious things get.

PrayingHospitalNurseIn the second call an older couple we have known for many years contacted us and requested prayer because they had been exposed to a person with the virus who was quarantined the day after they had been exposed. A couple of days went by and they decided to get tested. A couple of days later the doctor’s office called and said that they were both negative. We seriously rejoiced because of their deliverance from such a serious threat.

In the third call we received there is a couple who are quarantined for a specific time period because of his upcoming surgery. They were badly in need of some supplies so he drove her to the store and he stayed in the car with his medical mask on while she went in to do the shopping. There is a very specific disinfectant she uses that has all the right ingredients for his safety. She looked up and down the aisle several times and finally found the one row where it had been but discovered it was all sold out though there were plenty of the other disinfectants. A lady walked up to her as she was leaving that aisle and asked, “Are you looking for ‘such and such’ disinfectant”? Our friend was shocked by the question but answered in the positive. Our friend explained the situation and told the lady that her husband was waiting in the car for her. The lady said, “That’s no problem because I have to have that same disinfectant and my friend always buys a number of bottles for me. In fact, I have a couple in my car now. I will go out to the car and get one and give it to your husband.” None of that sounds to me like just an accident. Our friend’s situation is very serious but there is a compassionate Father who knows how to get things and people put together in the right place at the right time regardless of the “crisis bulldogs” that are grabbing and shaking everything. When they called us and told us of this incident, we all had a praise service! (And we all also wondered if that was really just a concerned lady or… an angel.)

We have had other calls and contacts about what the Lord is doing in healing people, even of anxiety. I will continue to report what the Lord is doing as He intervenes and will continue to encourage with scriptures that instruct us to trust in and focus on the promises of the Bible, God’s holy Word. “Perfect, absolute peace surrounds those whose imaginations are consumed with You; they confidently trust in You. 4 Yes, trust in the Lord Yahweh forever and ever! For Yah, the Lord God, is your Rock of Ages! (Isa. 26:3-4, TPT)

God Keep us in Perfect Peace

Rain Roof Runoff.jpgAs the people of God assemble today around their computers and smart phones and in church parking lots, may the peace of our Lord and Savior fall upon them like the spring rain and may it wash away weariness and worrisome thoughts that steal soundness of mind. “Thou wilt keep [him] in perfect peace, [whose] mind [is] stayed [on thee]: because he trusteth in thee.” (Isa.26:3)
