Seek Wisdom

As the people of God look toward the months ahead, may they incline their ears to hear the wisdom of the Word of God. May they seek that wisdom like silver and like hidden treasure. May they adjust their thinking and declarations to align with the Wisdom of the Ages and may those around them benefit as well. “He hides away sound and godly Wisdom and stores it for the righteous…” (Prov.2:7a, Amp)

The Singing Voice is the Victorious Voice

We prophesy the enemy’s defeat not only in speech but also in song. We not only prophesy the greatness of our God in speech but also in song. The singing voice is the joyous voice. The singing voice is the victorious voice. Paul and Silas sang the praises of God, not until the jailer shook, but, until the earth shook. Their praises brought their liberty.  “But as for me, I will sing of Your mighty strength and power; Yes, I will sing joyfully of Your lovingkindness in the morning; For You have been my stronghold And a refuge in the day of my distress.” (Ps.59:16, Amp)

Challenge to Adjust

We all have paradigms and they are in our mental files and they affect our choices and our expectations. So, the challenge is to realize when our examples and typical patterns need adjustment.  That realization does not come by focusing on the pattern, but rather by following the Holy Spirit.  The adjustments will come and we will build newer models as we walk in fresh obedience to the Holy Spirit.  Fresh obedience will never contradict God’s principles nor His character, but it may reach past known borders and it will not bow to former limitations. (Second excerpt from Kathy’s article “Fresh Obedience”)

Obedience and the Different Path

A paradigm is simply an example or a typical pattern.  We all have them in our mental files and they affect our choices and our expectations.  They become our standard or ruler to measure rightness or success.  These former models or expected patterns can set our goals and be our driving force whether we realize it or not.  For example, we go to church and expect to find the model we have known in the past.  Even if that model is flawed or should be changing, maturing and growing, we measure its rightness by the known pattern.
We must keep in mind that paradigms come from experience.  That means they were built in a past season or a specific situation or a particular set of circumstances; and just as seasons, situations and circumstances change, it is likely that our paradigms will have to adjust.  If they don’t, former examples and patterns will continue to drive us even when obedience or excellence would go a different path. (First excerpt from Kathy’s article “Fresh Obedience”)

Independence From Dead Works

Prayer & Declare—We pray, Father, that you will move in our hearts by your eternal Word to show us our liberty in Christ Jesus that will keep us free and turn hearts toward you.  I declare, today, my independence from the mind that is enmity toward God Almighty. I declare independence from dead works and lifeless observances in order that I might effectively serve the ever-living God. “How much more surely shall the blood of Christ, Who by virtue of [His] eternal Spirit [His own preexistent divine personality] has offered Himself as an unblemished sacrifice to God, purify our consciences from dead works and lifeless observances to serve the [ever] living God?” (Heb.9:14, Amp)

No Weapon Prospers

While thinking about recent events I had to deal with, the scripture Isaiah 54:17 “no weapon formed against you will prosper” came up again. This time, however, I saw it differently. I think a lot of times this is used as a defensive scripture when really it is an offensive scripture. God equips us for the weapon BEFORE, not after, it is formed against us. The reason the weapon doesn’t prosper is because He already set countermeasures in place prior to its launch. He already equipped you with everything necessary to walk out of this battle in tact. That, my friends, is an offensive scripture loaded for battle! (Melissa Gabler)

October is For Moving Forward in Paths

The month of OCTOBER IS FOR MOVING FORWARD IN PATHS that our Lord has ordained for us to be effective and fulfilled in. Those factors which have previously blocked progress are being removed. Distractions are fading and the fruit of a faithful walk is coming into view.  “We pray that you would walk in the ways of true righteousness, pleasing God in every good thing you do. Then you’ll become fruit-bearing branches, yielding to his life, and maturing in the rich experience of knowing God in his fullness!” (Col.1:10, TPT)

Him Who Moves in the Affairs of Men

May the people of God be filled with the knowledge of Him who is moving by His hand in the affairs of men. May they be encouraged and filled with faith that their Mighty God is actively moving people into situations that are advantageous for acts of righteousness to penetrate into the cultures of all nations. And may they realize their praying is significant and integral to it all.  “. . .and you will learn that the High God rules over human kingdoms and that He arranges all kingdom affairs.” (Dan.4:25, Msg; also Jer.29:7; 1Tim.2:1-2,8)

Warfare Praise

The prophetic church knows how to put the enemy to flight with warfare praise. Their mouths are always filled with praise. In our praises not only is the enemy made aware of the God who fights for us but we are also brought to realize Who fights for us, and then more likely to let Him! As we exult in Him, enemies are set to flight. “May God arise, may His enemies be scattered; may His foes flee before Him (Ps.68:1).”

In Spirit and in Truth

Our God created us to have fellowship with Him and it should be obvious that He is Spirit (Jn.4:24). According to John, the only way to worship this Spirit God is to worship Him in spirit and truth. Many have been drawn to the supernatural and to darkness trying to fill the void which should be full of spiritual worship to Almighty God. Rick Joyner writes, “If this is not fulfilled by the Spirit of Truth, who leads us to worship the Lord in spirit and truth, we will be deceived by the spirit of error.” The great writer C.S. Lewis observed, “If you deny a man food, he will gobble poison.” “If we deny people access to a proper supernatural relationship with God, they will succumb to the oppression and seductions of evil supernatural power.” (Joyner)

A Communication Tool

Dreams can also be a communication tool that is a disclosure within ourselves, between our subconscious and conscious mind.  Though these dreams may not be a telegram from God, they can still be sanctioned by a God-purpose for our life. These type dreams can help us “work out our own salvation,” by revealing issues that are causing dysfunction or lack or sickness.

These dreams spring from our senses, concerns, questions, thoughts, choices, emotions, desires and imaginings, “dreams which you cause to be dreamed” (Jer.29:8) or they spring from memories, beliefs, values, worries, fears, stresses, etc., “dreams come when there are many cares” (Ecc. 5:3).  A common disclosure dream is that you are back in school, but can’t find your class, or you didn’t bring your homework, or you forgot your clothes!  In either case, the disclosure of what is going on inside is that you are dealing with feelings of being unequipped or inadequate or you are fearing failure or humiliation, etc.  –Kathy Gabler

Where we Stop Short, Our Children Will Stop

If we haven’t been delivered from our bondages, we will take our children into the captivity we have endured and it will be repeated at least one more generation, and likely for more. What one generation does in moderation, the next generation usually does in excess. What one generation abandons, another is not likely to pick up. (That works both positively and negatively.) Where we stop short of glory, our children will stop short. We must be able to say “do as I do. Look at me and imitate me; do what I do, even when no one is looking.” The fact is: they will imitate us whether we say it or not.

New Gates Are Not Optional

(Kathy Gabler) —While prophesying to a lady, I saw her as a bird in a gilded cage. The door was open on the cage, but she would not fly out. Instead of leaving her captivity, she decorated it, but the golden captivity was still captivity. We can comfort ourselves with former revelation, with blessings already received and with testimonies of past obediences, or refuse to move and just focus on quests that everyone would call godly, but God’s designs are always moving beyond the past and even beyond the now. When He builds a gate, He is not presenting options; rather He is giving direction. That gate will lead to growth, increase, maturity and change. Purpose beckons us beyond our current fence line. God is faithful to build the gate, but it is up to us to choose to go through it.

Looking Beyond Defeat

May the people of God look beyond the threats of failure and defeat that loom defiantly over them. May they look beyond infirmity, disease, financial lack and setbacks and focus on the promises of God that never fail, and let loose with heart-felt praise!  “Meanwhile, I’m sure you’re on my side— no victory shouts yet from the enemy camp! You know me inside and out, you hold me together, you never fail to stand me tall in your presence so I can look you in the eye.” (Ps.41:11-12, Msg)

The Too Awesome God

Who is the God Who does the too awesome!

What is Said in Our Home?

What have our children heard? Have they heard blessing like the voice of blessing of Abraham to Isaac and the voice of Isaac to Jacob? Have they heard words of honor around the house and words of life, words of productivity? Are we just repeating in our home what we experienced when we were growing up or are we determined that our children will see the faithfulness of God in their generation?  “As for me,” God says, “this is my covenant with them: My Spirit that I’ve placed upon you and the words that I’ve given you to speak, they’re not going to leave your mouths nor the mouths of your children nor the mouths of your grandchildren. You will keep repeating these words and won’t ever stop.” (Isa.59:21, Msg)

Intercessory Dreams – Three Keys

Three keys considering intercessory dreams:   (1.) Don’t take vicarious dreams as personal threats, because being afraid will hinder your response.   (2.) God always gives insight in time if you are being called to make a difference.   (3.) Never fail to follow through with authoritative declaration of the will of God over the situation or person.

The Frustration of Destructiveness

We pray that your mighty hand, O Lord, might stop the plans and machinations of those individuals and entities that have designs upon the deterioration of the United States of America, its family units, its morals/values and its economy.  I declare that the all-powerful Hand of Holy God that intervened for the Israel of old and restored her to victory in her Lord God, is the same Hand that is active in this nation to the tearing down of strongholds and the raising of the standard of righteous victory, transforming lives to the glory of our Redeemer and Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. I declare the frustration of unrighteousness, of destructiveness and of delusionary influences.  “He frustrates the devices of the crafty, so that their hands cannot perform their enterprise or anything of [lasting] worth.” (Job 5:12, Amp)

Is Worship a Strange Sound in Your Home?

David developed in Solomon a love of God and a love of worship and a fear of God.  Solomon grew up on a steady diet of worship. His father sang songs to the Lord that came up out of his spirit. His father didn’t need a church service to worship God. He worshipped God unashamedly before the whole nation. Worship was a lifestyle lived out before Solomon. He was accustomed to hearing his father’s voice lifted in praise or in prayer. It was a familiar sound, not a strange one.

Mistakes With a Troubling Dream

God does not expose people to a troubling dream so they can be worried and tormented or start grieving early.  Intercessors must shake off the emotions of the experience to be able to agree with God and change the situation.  The biggest mistake with intercessory insights is the lack of follow-through by the dreamer, and that is usually because:  (1.) they do not realize it is a call to intercede,   (2.) they fail to accept the mission because of a sense of inadequacy or being unqualified as an intercessor   (3.) they stay in the emotion of the dream rather than taking a position of authority and agreement with God to break an assignment or   (4.) they go into panic over timing, considering it a done-deal already. — Kathy Gabler

Godly Legacy and a Nation

King David gathered, created and formed an inheritance for his son so that son could build a house for God (1Chron.22:5). David wanted to be assured that his son would have an encounter with the God he had an encounter with. David not only loved his son and wanted to be assured that he would have a relationship with God but David also loved what God loved: the nation of Israel. He wanted to be assured that the presence of God would be in the midst of Israel. There was a nation at stake and David facilitated its preservation. In preserving his family, in consciously working on leaving a godly legacy, David preserved a nation.

Edify One Another

As the people of God assemble today, may they report to one another and encourage one another with dreams, visions and prophetic confirmations that inspire each one to move forward in faith and hope to the horizons Almighty God has as He manifests His sons/daughters as salve and solution to the groaning of creation.  (1Thess.5:11, NKJV) ”Therefore comfort each other and edify one another, just as you also are doing.”

Our Part in the Next Season

Now, what is our part in this next season? Awareness. We must remember, at all times: the Kingdom of God is invading this nation. Each one of us has a piece of the Kingdom that penetrates and affects the region around us. We are going to WIN this fight. Hey, it’s not going to be pretty in the months ahead, but no matter what you see, hear, or face, it has no effect on what God has set in motion. After all, He has the last word! If you feel worried, afraid, or uneasy that’s your clue you are plugged into the wrong advisors. You may need to turn the TV off during this season in order to stay plugged into God’s agenda. Make sure you keep the air cleared in your vicinity. One great way of doing that is upping your prayer in tongues. Talk about an air purifier! Speaking in tongues is a beautiful weapon from Heaven for such a time as this.   (MELISSA is speaking at DREAMS VISIONS PROPHECY 2018 this Saturday Sept.15 at Grace International in Willis,TX just north of Houston. Take-That-Mountain Mindset

We live in a nation that must be turned to God. There are many difficult nation-affecting challenges before us and the coming generation. Every challenge and difficulty that we do not meet and overcome in our generation is weight that gets added to the load of difficulties that our children will have to deal with, and that is added on top of the ones they will have to handle in their own generation. Those challenges require much more than a viewpoint which expresses a belief that they will be met and adequately handled by divine fiat in a time period that is yet to come. The Israelite generation exiting Egypt viewed the challenges before them as giants and themselves as grasshoppers (Num.13:33). The giant/grasshopper mindset was not a Promised-Land-possessor mindset. After the giant/grasshopper mindset generation died off, there finally arose fathers (Josh.14:10-13) with a gonna-take-that-mountain mindset that produced a take-the-land-mentality generation—not a generation of mere survivors, but one of possessors. (Marty Gabler will be speaking at Dreams Visions Prophecy 2018 — Sept.14-16, 2018)
