We live in a nation that must be turned to God. There are many difficult nation-affecting challenges before us and the coming generation. Every challenge and difficulty that we do not meet and overcome in our generation is weight that gets added to the load of difficulties that our children will have to deal with, and that is added on top of the ones they will have to handle in their own generation. Those challenges require much more than a viewpoint which expresses a belief that they will be met and adequately handled by divine fiat in a time period that is yet to come. The Israelite generation exiting Egypt viewed the challenges before them as giants and themselves as grasshoppers (Num.13:33). The giant/grasshopper mindset was not a Promised-Land-possessor mindset. After the giant/grasshopper mindset generation died off, there finally arose fathers (Josh.14:10-13) with a gonna-take-that-mountain mindset that produced a take-the-land-mentality generation—not a generation of mere survivors, but one of possessors. Old Caleb drove them out. The doubters who didn’t know the Word of God to Caleb have come too late to tell Caleb there is only one way to defeat giants and take your divinely promised mountain.

“Everything Is Set Up For You To Cross The Finish Line.”
When wading into war became obvious on the present course of progress, 10 spies decided to change course for a whole nation and a whole generation. Not desiring to deal with any difficulties, they began to yell, “Giants!” Taking that lead in opposition to the will of God became very costly for them – much more costly than the war which was waged for the promised land (Num 32:13). But Caleb’s response to the opposition was, “We are able to overcome it.” Caleb and Joshua, who gave the good report, were the only two out of that generation who possessed the promised land.
