Kathy Gabler — Equipping for understanding and clarity was the theme for the Annual September Dreams, Visions and Prophecy conference. The following is a summary of some of the notes from that meeting——
I’m sure we have all wondered at times why everybody does not dream literal, plain dreams with clear communication and no search and discovery needed. Joseph in the New Testament saw the angel in a dream and understood clearly that the instructions were to flee to Egypt with Baby Jesus and Mary. Those were literal instructions that they could act on and they did. However, if we consider other scriptural examples of how God communicated, He often communicated with the prophets of the Old Testament in symbolic language. The dry bones in Ezekiel and the feet of iron and clay on the statue in Daniel were symbolic. Even Jesus often spoke in parables instead of literal details, and you know He was communicating with the crowds that kept gathering. Yet sometimes even the disciples had to ask Him for clarity later. So, I suspect that having to pursue understanding is part of God’s plan and purpose, probably for reasons like, 1) seeking God for wisdom builds relationship with the Lord, and 2) pursuing understanding is how we develop an ear to hear, and 3) every time we pursue God’s wisdom and clarity, we always discover more than we went looking for.

2020 is the time period the Lord has made (Ps.118:24). We will rejoice because the 
Lord has made it in keeping with His purposes and plans. It is a time period that we may not thoroughly understand nor have a complete grasp of. Yet, the times are in His hand (Ps.31:15). Throughout 2020 we will continue to rejoice because the all-wise God is not behind the times nor even trying to catch up. He has already stepped out into tomorrow and bids us come and partake in His worthy enterprise and we will engage His design with energy and expectation of the extraordinary. May the Lord grant you every enabling blessing for His Kingdom purposes in 2020. “So shall you know skillful and godly Wisdom to be thus to your life; if you find it, then shall there be a future and a reward, and your hope and expectation shall not be cut off.” (Prov.24:14, Amp)

Your new season is only a paradigm shift away. It may not be possible for some of us to fulfill our course and walk through the experiences and circumstances that course will take us through, while maintaining our same old paradigms about who God is and how He moves and works in this hour. One of the purposes of seasons is likely the purpose to open up a wider revelation of who God is and what His ways are. (Rom12:2)

As the people of God assemble today may they rejoice and be glad and grow strong 
in spirit and be filled with wisdom. Jesus was born with purpose and so are we. From the beginning, He not only grew physically but in His spirit and in wisdom for what was to come. One of our major goals for our children in 2020 should be to see them filled with the Spirit and to train them in godly wisdom. “And the Child grew and became strong in spirit, filled with wisdom; and the grace (favor and spiritual blessing) of God was upon Him.” (Lk.2:40)

Jahweh is raising up His church in this new era. He is raising up His church to transform nations over night. We are getting past religious ineffectiveness and a defeated sense of eschatology and coming to Zion, to the place of the 
throne of God which is a place of power and dominion. Perhaps we should rehearse John’s exhortation to us that “…as He [JESUS] is, so are we in this world.” (1Jn.4:17) It would then follow that our Lord JESUS IS sitting on the right hand of the throne of Almighty God in the heavenly places (1:20) and that we, like Him, are also sitting with Him [authoritatively positioned] in heavenly places in Christ (2:6). Therefore, there should be authority, power and dominion displayed such as it was when JESUS was on the earth, especially since it is the determined will of God to now show His multi-layered, redemptive wisdom to powers and principalities through the church (Eph.3:10). Father’s strength and wisdom are available for weary people to take the first step after not moving against things that have defeated them in the last year. The time of not doing something about defeating-factors is over. The first step will be admitting there is a problem and wanting the answer, even if it means we have to put forth some effort and make some changes. The first step will be to not wait for others and not wait for those circumstances to change, but begin the change in us. Ps.37:23— “The steps of a [good] man are directed and established by the Lord when He delights in his way [and He busies Himself with his every step].” (Amp)

Call on the name of Jesus throughout the year. Let His name be upon your lips. You will invoke His Name and see Him heal, see Him deliver others out of impossible strongholds of bondage and strongholds of fear. You will invoke His Name and see how marvelously He delivers you from the threat of harm, from bullies, from a violent spouse or parent or other relative. You will see God deliver elderly people from abuse by their children and others. You will invoke the Name of Jesus and the atmosphere will change.

There will be shorter mileage to victories. Kid’s Version: We will not get lost on our way to God’s promises. There are areas where “mileage” to victory will be much less than in previous situations. In many cases we have gotten 
distracted and had to go around numerous obstacles, challenges and roadblocks to get to victory. We have zigged and zagged. In the coming year we will discover that we are able to go in more of a straight line to victory thereby cutting out “extra mileage” as we learn more about Kingdom authority and our position in Christ to speak that authority and act in that authority. The defeating sense of unworthiness will be displaced by a righteous sense of royalty as sons and daughters of the King. Isa.66:8, Amp —Who has heard of such a thing? Who has seen such things? Shall a land be born in one day? Or shall a nation be brought forth in a moment? For as soon as Zion was in labor, she brought forth her children. Isa.30:21, Amp—And your ears will hear a word behind you, saying, This is the way; walk in it, when you turn to the right hand and when you turn to the left.

This will be a year of being refreshed by the gifts of the Spirit even more than in past years. Kid’s Version: We will share our gifts like never before. This year is time to be refreshed in the enabling of the gifts of the Spirit to minister to others and to be refreshed by the gifts ministered to us. When believers gather, it will be a gift exchange. 1Cor.12:4-7, NASB “Now there are varieties of gifts, but the same Spirit. 5 And there are varieties of ministries, and the same Lord. 6 There are varieties of effects, but the same God who works all things in all persons. 7 But to each one is given the manifestation of the Spirit for the common good.”

I declare that in 2019 Many will come to regard covenant as a must. Kid’s Version: We will honor God and keep our promises. Many will renew and keep covenant with God and with one another. We will honor covenant and honor one another. Those who have been caught up in the spirit of breaking covenants and ignoring covenants will again regard covenant as a must. Those who have been robbed of the value and benefits of covenant will regard covenant as a must, will cling to people and opportunities, will repent, will rethink and will rebuild the walls that have been broken down. (Kathy Gabler)—Our Battles this last year may have been physical or financial or attacks from people or harassment in circumstances or a siege of constant pressure. Whatever the conflict, I think battle-weariness sets in at the 
point there seems to be no let up, no end. Changelessness is exhausting. It can make us too tired to muster hope, but like David, that’s the time to talk to God openly. In Psalm 55, David told the Lord that he just wanted some peace and quiet, a walk in the country and a cabin in the woods. He told Him his heart was desperate for change(MSG). When we come to God in exhausted desperateness, He does not meet us there as a stonewall of resistance. That place of meeting with Him is a threshold, a starting place, a second wind. Just breathe.

(Melissa Gabler) — What a great, great year to be alive! We GET to not only see the shift, we get to BE the shift. Yes, the glory of God is going to be not only seen, but known. And it’s not because things just got that bad, it’s because things and people (this includes you) are now in place for undeniable God elements. Get ready.
throne of God which is a place of power and dominion. Perhaps we should rehearse John’s exhortation to us that “…as He [JESUS] is, so are we in this world.” (1Jn.4:17) It would then follow that our Lord JESUS IS sitting on the right hand of the throne of Almighty God in the heavenly places (1:20) and that we, like Him, are also sitting with Him [authoritatively positioned] in heavenly places in Christ (2:6). Therefore, there should be authority, power and dominion displayed such as it was when JESUS was on the earth, especially since it is the determined will of God to now show His multi-layered, redemptive wisdom to powers and principalities through the church (Eph.3:10). distracted and had to go around numerous obstacles, challenges and roadblocks to get to victory. We have zigged and zagged. In the coming year we will discover that we are able to go in more of a straight line to victory thereby cutting out “extra mileage” as we learn more about Kingdom authority and our position in Christ to speak that authority and act in that authority. The defeating sense of unworthiness will be displaced by a righteous sense of royalty as sons and daughters of the King. Isa.66:8, Amp —Who has heard of such a thing? Who has seen such things? Shall a land be born in one day? Or shall a nation be brought forth in a moment? For as soon as Zion was in labor, she brought forth her children. Isa.30:21, Amp—And your ears will hear a word behind you, saying, This is the way; walk in it, when you turn to the right hand and when you turn to the left.
This will be a year of being refreshed by the gifts of the Spirit even more than in past years. Kid’s Version: We will share our gifts like never before. This year is time to be refreshed in the enabling of the gifts of the Spirit to minister to others and to be refreshed by the gifts ministered to us. When believers gather, it will be a gift exchange. 1Cor.12:4-7, NASB “Now there are varieties of gifts, but the same Spirit. 5 And there are varieties of ministries, and the same Lord. 6 There are varieties of effects, but the same God who works all things in all persons. 7 But to each one is given the manifestation of the Spirit for the common good.”
I declare that in 2019 Many will come to regard covenant as a must. Kid’s Version: We will honor God and keep our promises. Many will renew and keep covenant with God and with one another. We will honor covenant and honor one another. Those who have been caught up in the spirit of breaking covenants and ignoring covenants will again regard covenant as a must. Those who have been robbed of the value and benefits of covenant will regard covenant as a must, will cling to people and opportunities, will repent, will rethink and will rebuild the walls that have been broken down. Ps.51:7-15, TPT
point there seems to be no let up, no end. Changelessness is exhausting. It can make us too tired to muster hope, but like David, that’s the time to talk to God openly. In Psalm 55, David told the Lord that he just wanted some peace and quiet, a walk in the country and a cabin in the woods. He told Him his heart was desperate for change(MSG). When we come to God in exhausted desperateness, He does not meet us there as a stonewall of resistance. That place of meeting with Him is a threshold, a starting place, a second wind. Just breathe.
