Kathy–I went to bed with a sense of a storm gathering and I fell asleep praying. I stirred once or twice with a definite awareness of war in the heavenlies. A little after 3:00 A.M., I awoke to the sounds of battle, swords clashing and noisy chaos. In a vision, I watched silhouettes in battle and knew I was seeing war in second heaven. I thought of the archangel Michael warring to get the answer to Daniel’s prayer to him and I realized this war was getting God’s will to earth again. I did not have the pulse of what God was doing or what prayers He was answering, so I knelt on the bed and asked Him, “How do I pray? What do I do?” But His answer was surprising, “Just watch what I’m doing.” So, I silently watched and waited for God’s outcome. Lightning flashed and thunder crashed so loudly in the vision that it seemed to be a real storm inside the hotel room until 3:45 A.M. When the battle sounds subsided, I could only hear the sound of rain, heavy rain. The vision continued. I saw the sides of a river being torn away by the force of gushing flood waters. I knew I was seeing a breakthrough that night that would bring changes as surely as the gushing waters were changing the course of that river. I was reminded of 2Sam.5:20, and Baal-perazim, which means “the Lord of breakthroughs” or the “Owner of breakthroughs”. I fell into a deep sleep, confident God was doing something awesome and had broken through opposition to get things from Heaven to earth.
Melissa — We/YOU carry what our nation and the world needs, and you can change things from where you are at this moment. God used a remnant of people time and time again to make big changes. He’s God, a tiny dose of His power can turn this thing upside-down! Our new motto for the middle of 2021 and beyond: “As goes the remnant, so goes the nation”. Kathy — We don’t know when or why Saul decided that he was “all that and a sack of chips,” but we do know that pride will breach character. Perhaps being head and shoulders above everyone else made him feel superior. On perhaps, the other extreme, his fear of the people (1 Sam 15:24) was a sign of inferior feelings and deep insecurities, and pride became his antidote. Whatever his path to pride, it became his path to downfall. The word warns that pride comes before a fall and I think it is safe to say that big pride comes before a big fall. King Saul did not fear God and pride was his door to destruction.
Sometimes we forget that we are made in the image of our Creator God. So when we create our own monsters and our own downfall, we transfer the credit to God, the devil or someone else. That way we feel like a victim instead of a perpetrator. The problem is that if we are victims, we ignore our need to repent. Instead of changing, we sit in the ruins expecting God to do what we will not do ourselves. Saul could not find someone else to blame for the breaches of his soul and character, and neither can we.
In the last half of this year, may we fear God and humble ourselves before Him that we will have the godly character to cooperate and not hinder His intent and instructions. May the rest of this year be marked by sons willingly participating in the changes necessary to see His Kingdom come on earth as it is in heaven.

Father’s strength and wisdom are available for weary people to take the first step after not moving against things that have defeated them in the last year. The time of not doing something about defeating-factors is over. The first step will be admitting there is a problem and wanting the answer, even if it means we have to put forth some effort and make some changes. The first step will be to not wait for others and not wait for those circumstances to change, but begin the change in us. Ps.37:23— “The steps of a [good] man are directed and established by the Lord when He delights in his way [and He busies Himself with his every step].” (Amp)
