The birth of Jesus, Savior of the world, was announced in terms supernatural. The 
pronouncement & the experiences of those involved in the broadcast cannot be explained in mere natural terms. Not only did angels appear to Jewish shepherds but a heavenly phenomenon caught the attention of learned Gentile observers and drew them to the City of David to worship One whom they would hail as King of the Jews. (Acts 4:12, Amp) ”And there is salvation in and through no one else, for there is no other name under heaven given among men by and in which we must be saved.”
I was praying over a situation for which I have no answers and can do nothing about. As soon as I prayed I heard, “Now, let go of all of your ideas of how this thing needs to be worked out and let Me have it.” As we head into Christmas and a new year may we lay down every weight, worry, and preconceived idea of what the will of God should look like in our current situations, and leave it in the capable hands of the One Whose birth we are celebrating! As the people of God assemble today may all ye faithful come, assemble today and be joyful and triumphant as we adore Him: CHRIST THE LORD, JESUS, KING OF THE JEWS, SON OF THE MOST HIGH, THE HOLY CHILD, SON OF GOD, GOD MY SAVIOR. (Luke Chapter One) We will be joyful in considering His names and titles and all their implications for Israel, for us and for the nations as were Gabriel and Mary. Peter and John went to the temple just having received the Baptism with the Holy Spirit. They are bearers of the Spirit of God and His Kingdom. Limitations bring groaning, despair and hopelessness. There is a better way to live. “Thy Kingdom come.” We must get the conduct and relationships of heaven into this earth. The fruit of the Spirit (Gal.5:22-25) manifests the conduct and relationships of heaven. We must get the power and benefits of heaven into this earth. The gifts of the Spirit (1Co.12:7-11) manifest the power of heaven over our limitations.

“Your throne is established from of old. You are from everlasting.” (Ps.93:2) Before 
any sons of Belial (“reckless, lawlessness”) planned or implemented their shenanigans, God was already on His throne. Before any elements came together to form a disaster, He was. Before Abraham, Jesus is “I Am.” (Jn.8:58) So, as Melissa sings, “He stands above it all.” And we run to the Rock that is higher than us. “For no matter where I am, even when I’m far from home, I will cry out to you for a father’s help. When I’m feeble and overwhelmed by life, guide me into your glory, where I am safe and sheltered.” (Ps.61:2, TPT)

Groaning for the sons of God to be revealed is met with the power of Holy Spirit in bringing the realm of heaven into history. Holy Spirit brings what exists in the realm of heaven into history… just like Jesus was. How was that done? Mary asked, “How shall this be?” The answer: “The Holy Ghost shall come upon you and the power of the Highest shall overshadow you.” (Lk.1:35) It happens the same way today.

“The earnest expectation of the creature waits for the manifestation of the sons of 
God”(Rom.8:19) God built that expectancy into creation because He had built into His sons the ability to meet it by the empowerment of the Holy Spirit. Creation was designed to wait upon the government of God manifested in His redeemed ones; ones who would declare and decree in keeping with His will for their respective generation. (Ps.71:18)

In order to be anything unto God, we must have the power of the Holy Spirit because it is then the doing of the Holy Spirit and not ours. It cannot be done without the Holy Spirit. It is not unto or for ourselves that we are in the Kingdom of God but unto and for the eternal purposes of God and the purposes of God can only be fulfilled by the power of the Holy Spirit. (Acts 1:8)

As you look back and close out the year, you may be one of those folks who kept a daily journal and accounting of the details of life. Or, your accounting may simply 
be memories highlighted for the moment or forever, but all of us have matters that mattered this year as we laid our heads down each night and then awoke to face them again the next morning. There is no closing the books, no relief, on unresolved matters whether they concern healing or relationships or circumstances or finances. Even if we don’t note them in a journal or speak of them, still they sit in the silence of the night and trouble our hearts. That’s the reason that we, like David in Psalm 56, must lean into our God, the Great Accountant who can and will balance the books and bring us to peace of mind. “You’ve kept track of my every toss and turn through the sleepless nights, Each tear entered in your ledger, each ache written in your book.” Psa 56:8 (MSG). Remembering He is there and aware and that He will take action in our behalf, we can trust Him by breathing out a grateful sigh over 2019 and breathing in hope for 2020.—Kathy G

Could it be that terrorists may not be afraid of our nation because our nation has not kept the commandments of the Lord God and walked in His ways? When the peoples of the earth see that we are called by the name of the LORD, they will fear us. Righteousness exalts a nation, but sin is a disgrace to any people. Start your own spiritual history. For the last 19 or 20 generations, Israel only had a physical history and were willing to walk back into slavery in Egypt. Physical lack and/or physical infirmity may be all the history some families have to date. You be the one who refuses to walk back and embrace that old history. You be the one to break the cycle. 20 generations of Israel had known nothing but slavery. Master commands and slave responds. No freedom and no fulfillment, just like many today. We can break in our generation the things that have bound us so that the coming generation does not have to live under them. If we remain under the bondage of past generations, so will our children.
