Our Part in the Next Season

breathe inWhat is our part in this next season? Awareness.  We must remember, at all times: the Kingdom of God is invading this nation. Each one of us has a piece of the Kingdom that penetrates and affects the region around us. We are going to WIN this fight.  Hey, it’s not going to be pretty in the months ahead, but no matter what you see, hear, or face, it has no effect on what God has set in motion.  After all, He has the last word! If you feel worried, afraid, or uneasy that’s your clue you are plugged into the wrong advisors.  You may need to turn the TV off during this season in order to stay plugged into God’s agenda.  Make sure you keep the air cleared in your vicinity.  One great way of doing that is upping your prayer in tongues.  Talk about an air purifier! Speaking in tongues is a beautiful weapon from Heaven for such a time as this.

A Guide For This Season

GuideHikeHere’s what you need to know first and foremost: YOU are important, YOU have a piece that the rest of us need, YOU have a gift and skill combo no one else has, YOU will live and not die, YOU are created for His glory, and all of these things are His original intent for you! Now that that is in the atmosphere let’s talk about life in the season ahead.

Enjoy the Will of God in 2019

WalkingHappyMay you not fling away your fearless confidence. May you find that it carries a great compensation of reward. May you have a steadfast patience and endurance and, with them, perform and fully accomplish the will of God. May you enjoy doing the will of God in 2019. May you receive what is promised. We are praying you discover daily that you are walking more and more in that for which you were born.
(Heb.10:35-36, Amp) “Do not, therefore, fling away your fearless confidence, for it carries a great and glorious compensation of reward. For you have need of steadfast patience and endurance, so that you may perform and fully accomplish the will of God, and thus receive and carry away [and enjoy to the full] what is promised.”

When Battle Heats Up

WELDING: Linn-Benton Community CollegeLife’s battles do not intensify just because the devil gets mad or has a personal grudge.  No, the battle heats up by reason of the needed outcome.  As surely as heat can determine the strength of a weld, so does the intensity of battle establish the strength and longevity of the victory.  The vehemence of battle welds the outcome in undeniable purpose rather than just leaving us with fragmented memories of war. Heat is one of the components of long-term victory and intense battle yields intensely awesome results! (Kathy)

It will be easy to get unstuck.  “I have declared the former things [which happened to Israel] in times past; They went forth from My mouth and I proclaimed them; Suddenly I acted, and they came to pass.” (Isa.48:3, Amp)  (Declaration #1 from the 2017 Declarations. Dream Came True

ManPraiseSunrise

Before the end of the year I am praying to see a lot of posts that start with:
“Hey, you guys, another dream just came true!!!”

2017: The Game Changer #5

sunrisesnow(Melissa) 2017: The Game Changer #5 — What a great, great year to be alive! We GET to not only see the shift, we get to BE the shift. Yes, the glory of God is going to be not only seen, but known.  And it’s not because things just got that bad, it’s because things and people (this includes you) are now in place for undeniable God elements.  Get ready.

Get a Deep Breath

FreshbreathAs the people of God seek His face today may those whose hearts are heavy from failures, defeats and grief of the past lift their heads, get a deep breath and realize that they are part of the family of God and that they have strength and fellowship through Christ our Lord and the family of God to go on to victories in the coming days.
“But You, O Lord, are a shield for me, my glory, and the lifter of my head.  4  With my voice I cry to the Lord, and He hears and answers me out of His holy hill. Selah [pause, and calmly think of that]! (Ps.3:3-4, Amp)

2017: The Game Changer #4

WalkUphill
(Melissa) 2017: The Game Changer #4 — The year of realization. Yes, you are healed… there it is. Yes, you are delivered from chronic issues and habits… there it is.  Yes, God’s promise is still in tact… there it is. Yes, you have a role in 2017… there it is. No, you are not out of His reach… there He is.

2017: The Game Changer #3

trainingexercise
(Melissa) 2017: The Game Changer #3 — Miracles, Signs, Wonders. Just get ready for these to become the norm. And get ready to be the gate through which they come.  What you have been in training to release will become obvious this year.

2017: The Game Changer #2

David n Goliath
(Melissa) 2017: The Game Changer #2 — Time to slay the victim mentality. We saw the victim mentality come to a head in 2016 and get whipped! You know that “Sleeping Giant” we’ve been talking about for a while? Well, it’s name is “No More”, and it woke up in the latter half of last year. No more victims for Christ.  No more victimized churches.  2017 will see God’s original intent realized in many areas.

2017: The Game Changer

oneweek(Melissa) 2017: The Game Changer — While getting ready this morning I heard the Holy Spirit say, “Take this year one week at a time.” I found that very interesting. I kept wanting to make it one “day” at a time, but He didn’t say that! This is not about making plans for the year. This is in regard to day after day life. Particularly those things that have run their course and seemed delayed. That which needs clarity and resolve. Take it week by week. Take a deep breath, stand tall, and show this week who has the last word. Then, all of a sudden, things will change!

What Does the Coming Generation Anticipate?

What will the coming generation anticipate? What are they anticipating now and who was it that set them up to anticipate it? The coming generation will anticipate something. One of the biggest favors we can do the coming generation is to build anticipation into them. Let’s build into them anticipation for the intervention of God, anticipation to see God do something no previous generation has ever seen. Before Daniel came along, who had ever seen anyone walk out of a lion’s den? Before Shadrach, Meshach and Abednego came to town, who had ever seen three guys walk out of a fiery furnace without even so much as smelling like smoke? Let’s get our chins up off of our chests and allow our eyes to look upward into the Limitless One. ”Lift up your heads, O ye gates; and be ye lift up, ye everlasting doors; and the King of glory shall come in.” (Ps.24:7, KJV) Every time people speak of tragedy and hopelessness, let us say to the coming generation, “But God….”. Let’s help them keep their anticipator alive and well and functioning at peek capacity. Let’s charge it up at every opportunity!

Focus Back on Possibility

The attitude of cynicism tends to be contagious: the attitude of the person who has been somewhere and it was a disappointing venue, now others PictureFocusdon’t want to go there; the attitude of the person who was married and it was a disappointing experience, now others don’t want to take the chance on marriage; the attitude of the person who went all out to succeed but they ended up broke and embarrassed for having even tried, now others are afraid to step out. Cynicism displaces anticipation and induces lethargy. We must dwell on the God of the impossible and His Word that brings our focus back to all possibility. He is God and will never cease being everything He has always been. Our experiences plus the experiences of others, or even the lack of experiences, do not determine the ability of God to do wonders among His people. The Bible does not say, “All things are possible to him who has always had a perfect track record.” But it does say, “… If you can believe, all things are possible to him who believes.” (Mk.9:23, NKJV)

See Beyond the Norm

We must do something to see beyond our norm. What about an imagination that is available to God? Do we only see the mundane and the predictable BoyWearCapeand then do we pray and limit our expectations from that mundane perspective? Have we sentenced ourselves to only praying within the predictable because of past disappointments and the conclusions of others? Children run around with a towel tied around their neck imagining that they can fly, imagining they are super heroes until we talk them out of it. There is no evidence in scripture that anyone imagined the Red Sea parting. Phillip could not begin to imagine 5,000 people fed with only a couple of little fish and a little bit of bread. What if when we come up against the next impossible situation we just said, “Hey, what awesome way does God want to do this?”  “What would the average person never imagine in this situation?” Graham Cooke was quoted as saying,  “Sometimes I think that sin is not necessarily immorality or selfishness. Sometimes it just means we live drab, colorless, stale, and unimaginative lives before God.” Holy Spirit, quicken the Word of God within us to inspire us to see beyond the limiting realm of our daily existence. ”For as the heavens are higher than the earth, so are my ways higher than your ways, and my thoughts than your thoughts.” (Isa.55:9, KJV)

Available Imagination

A child is always full of anticipation and is always using their imagination to carry them beyond the mundane of ever-present limitations. When children approached Jesus in Mark 10:13-15 He expressed a desire to be surrounded by them and their minds ripe with anticipation. He announced to GirlLookingUpthe deeply, zealous religious people around Him that He desired they become like those little ones who don’t try entering the Kingdom with agendas, preconceived ideas, preferences and jaded imaginations which leave no room for the limitless possibilities of Almighty God. It would appear from this context that we will not see (v.15) the awesome, mind-shattering acts of the rule and power of Jehovah unless we approach Him with an imagination and attitude of anticipation to enter into His redemptive workings in this hour of unprecedented need and opportunity. Many have made their time, talents and money available to God to do the predictable, but mustn’t we make our childlike imaginations available to participate with a God Who has never been creatively stagnant and Who has never bowed to limit Himself to the mundane?

Marty audio excerpt: “God’s Will Has Never Changed”

Like a Child

The parents were sitting in the kitchen going over their finances and planning the family vacation coming up in five months. The little boy was walking down the hall past the kitchen door. As he passed, all he heard were the words “OK then, we’re going to Disney World”. He picked up his pace BoySwimMaskand headed straight for his bedroom. After an hour or so the parents decided it was bedtime and headed down the hall. They stopped at their little boy’s room to check in on him. He was sitting on the edge of the bed, laying over on his over-stuffed zipper bag, fast asleep with his swim mask on his head and wearing his Mickey Mouse t-shirt. He had heard something that filled him with anticipation and that anticipation had him prepared to get under way. Mk.10:15-“…Whosoever shall not receive the Kingdom of God as a little child, he shall not enter therein.” This is not declaring to us that we have to be like a child to go to heaven. It is talking about seeing the authority, power, rule and active sovereignty of God because we have childlike anticipation for participating in God’s Kingdom agenda and activity.

The Anticipation Factor

If a preacher wants to get us really excited, all they have to do is quote 1Cor.2:9 – “But as it is written, Eye hath not seen, nor ear heard, neither have entered into the heart of man, the things which God hath prepared for them that love him.” It is then, out of our lack and loss, quite easy for us to come up with all manner of things for God to show us and tell us. But don’t rule out the Holy Spirit’s involvement: v.10  “BUT God hath revealed them unto us by his Spirit: for the Spirit searcheth all things, yea, the deep things of God.” We must be in relationship with Holy Spirit to have those things revealed. He is the agent of the things revealed. Human lack and research will not get it done. That might even cause us to completely miss the largeness and uniqueness of what God has in store. We do not have to wait for heaven to see them and to hear them. Holy Spirit is the power-factor, influence-factor, heart-change factor. He is even the anticipation-factor.

Hearts That Anticipate

AnticipationLookUpAs the people of God assemble today, may they turn their hearts, thoughts and considerations to who God is and to HIS capacity and begin to anticipate what only God can do in this morning’s meeting, in our personal lives and in our nation. May our hearts anticipate what we have never seen so that we call upon Him expectantly.

“But as for me, I will watch expectantly for the LORD; I will wait for the God of my salvation, my God will hear me.” (Mic.7:7)

20–The Numer Of Expectancy

calendar yearsRecently, we received a text asking the biblical significance of the number 20.  I’d remembered that E.W.Bullinger, in his book,  Number in Scripture, said that twenty was the number of expectancy.  I was on the phone with Melissa at the time I was searching out Bullinger’s book.  I read aloud to her his comments on the number 20, mentioning Samson and Jacob as I did above.  She said, “That’s interesting.  It was 20 years ago I received that prophecy through Kim Clement about being promoted three times to a place of purpose.”  That jolted me, because just three days earlier, I too had remembered that prophecy and had asked the Lord where Melissa was in the process of that prophetic promise.  I had no idea it had been 20 years, suddenly expectation stirred in me.  God had answered my question.   The reason we had not yet seen her prophecy come to pass was because it involved a twenty year process to get to an expected end.
