It was at least the equivalent of a Boeing 747 landing in the middle of downtown Jerusalem on the day of 
Pentecost at 9:00 in the morning. And since they had no point of reference for such a tempest blast they became quite perplexed (unable to grasp something clearly or to think logically and decisively about something), cf.Acts 2:6,7,12. There was no warning that a Mighty manifestation would blast them suddenly into the miraculous church age where signs and wonders would follow them that believe (Mk.16:17). Believers were praying like their Lord had commanded them in the place He had commanded them to receive what He had commanded them (Lk.24:49) so that they could do what He had commanded them.

As the people of God assemble today, may the Lord encourage them for the future of our nation and their vital part in assuring that future. May they be encouraged that their prayers and partnership are significant in His workings in America. Ps.33:5 informs us “the earth is full of the goodness of the Lord.” The earth IS full of the 
goodness of the LORD, so it IS possible for each of us to discover His works, His truth and His goodness where we live and move about, and it is possible to join with it in spreading it, being instruments of it, giving opportunity for the LORD’s goodness to impact our environment. “For the Word of the Lord is right; and all His works are done in truth. He loveth righteousness and judgment; the earth is full of the goodness of the Lord.” (Ps.33:4-5, KJV) You and I are the instruments of the goodness of the Lord in the earth today. We are praying you discover daily God’s goodness in and through your life.

(Kathy G.) More keys we can take from Jesus’ wilderness example. 3) Don’t be baited to prove your worth. Don’t even be baited to doubt it. The fact that Jesus died for you shuts out doubt and question of worth. Many wars are won at the point that doubt is kicked out. 4) Don’t let the enemy decide the rules of engagement in the wilderness. That means don’t jump when he says, “Frog.” In fact, sons don’t talk to snakes, they stomp them.

In time to come, may you live differently with different results than you have lived in times past. You don’t question your family bond, and if anyone else does, don’t answer them. (Melissa) This is the year to loose your grasp on plan B and take hold, with both hands, of plan A – His original intent for your life in 2016. If your answer is hidden, ask God what the right question is in this moment. Ask Him what, in you, might be hindering the answer. Ask Him what you need to know today. He’s got plans for you, He is not into punishing you. His M.O. is all about forgiveness, redemption, relationship, and promotion all for His glory. Hey, if He tells you it’s simply about timing then it’s really that simple. His timing is perfect. Look at the birth and life of Samuel. Perseverance is key! It’s going to be an amazing year. Get ready for your answers.

The fact that you need to change your thinking in some part of your life is not an indictment against 
you! The simple truth is that without repentance, there is no change and without change there is no overcoming contradictions that keep affecting your life and your legacy. In the vision (several posts back) of that man being resurrected out of contradiction, he started in a death lock and was getting nowhere. That right there was a contradiction to the will of God, but he not only rose up to move on, he rose up and broke free of the smothering consequences and effects and residue of contradiction that were piled on his life in those layers of dirt. We can choose to overcome contradictions in our lives that have hindered us and troubled us too much and too long. Beyond that, God is also ready to supernaturally resurrect us out of the damage they’ve done to us! Our Redeemer is Resurrection and Life! He intends to restore what was lost under siege. His good plans are powerful and precious and within reach. So let’s become who we were born to be and do what we were born to do for His Glory! In your daily faithfulness to God, you might just be a placeholder for someone else. You may be standing between someone and their destruction and, were you not there, they might just move into that thing or that relationship or that distress that prevents their getting to destiny. Moses was a placeholder for Joshua. Elijah was a placeholder for Elisha and Paul was a placeholder for Timothy. It is like being the shoulders that someone else gets to stand on and start out on. Our ceiling is their floor. You are a placeholder for your children and very possibly even for others.
1Cor.16:13 ”Be alert, stand firm in the faith, be brave, be strong.” May you discover daily God’s purposes in your life.

(KG) Cain didn’t recognize the threat on his porch until God told him, “Cain, Sin is crouching at your door.” God was not saying, “You have a ticket to hell on the porch, 
Boy.” God wasn’t writing him off. He was warning Cain that he had a personal issue on his doorstep that would trip him up. It was a behavior pattern of messing up and then being offended about it. That thing would crouch on his porch and dictate his life if he didn’t master it. Cain had a call to repentance, a call to think differently and change so that he could overcome a contradiction before it overcame him, but he didn’t and it did. Cain’s thinking did not change and the contradicting behavior pattern of offense and anger drove him into a rage and he killed his brother.

Our mandate is to rebuild this temple to house His presence and His purpose. What distracts us from our mandate? One of the things at the top of the list is pain. Pain has a way of capturing our attention. Pain has a way of becoming a priority, but even pain must bow to God’s authority and power and purpose. Marty hurt his back a few years ago. He laid on the bed begging and pleading for healing and relief. Between groans, he decided to call and cancel the service scheduled for the next day, but the Holy Spirit said, “You are not dealing with this like a son.” “How do I do that, Lord?” he asked aloud. The answer came just as loud. “Declare your position and purpose.”
Aloud he began to declare, “God has purpose for me in Lockhart, Texas. I will go and do what I was born to do.” Not even remembering how he got off the bed, he found himself packing. He was still in pain, but able to move again. He took ground inch by inch, moment by moment that day. By the time he stood in the pulpit and preached, the pain had completely left him.
He could have thought like Judah, “I will pursue the purposes of God someday, just not now.” I have to recover first! But as he adjusted his priorities in his thinking, the process of healing began as he headed toward purpose.

I laughed at myself as I recalled frantically calling out to the Lord a while back. I was frantic to find a title to a vehicle we were selling. Marty and I had both searched our desks and files, but neither of us could find the title. Rifling through my files one 
more time, I suddenly heard myself praying, “Lord, help us. No, seriously, really make something happen this time!” Well, that was certainly no exemplary prayer of faith and power to confess publicly, but it was a powerful prayer in that it turned a light on for me.
As the light came on, I could plainly see the unverbalized script going on behind the scenes. As soon as I had muttered, “Help, Lord,” I thought of praying those same words hundreds of times concerning another situation in my life. The remembrance came to mock me for there was no help showing up after years, no sign of change, no movement whatsoever in my circumstances after those hundreds of prayers. The reminder was not only a damper on expectation for any present help, it was an in-my-face threat that God would not show up with resolve of this title situation.
The voice of desperation does not equal prayer mainly because desperation most often focuses on the problem which is the opposite of a faith focus on the One who has the answer. I suddenly realized I had been whining (hundreds of times), but I had considered it prayer. I repented. The awesome thing about repentance is that it brings change that brings change. Suddenly, in a Holy-Spirit-photo-memory-moment, Marty saw the title and it was right where we had put it, in a forgotten safe place. Hey, that’ll preach, the answer is SAFE until we can see it.
I laughed again. I love the smell of victory, especially even before the smoke of battle clears! (Kathy Gabler)

It is hard to see eternal purpose through the grit and grime of experience. So, our spirits have to be renewed, and that starts with cleaning life’s grime off the windows. That’s why David prayed in Psalm 51, “Create in me a clean heart, [send your window-cleaning presence!] O God, and renew a steadfast spirit within me.” A steadfast spirit is a spirit that circumstances cannot bully, that emotions cannot control and that experiences cannot defeat. (v.11) “Don’t cast me away from your presence and don’t take your Holy Spirit from me. Restore to me the joy of your salvation and sustain me with a willing spirit.” (NAU) A willing spirit is a spirit that is willing to try again, that is willing to believe again and that is willing to hope again.

Jesus did not seem at all concerned about offending people who didn’t believe the way He believed. In Matt.12 He and His disciples walk through a corn field on the Sabbath and the disciples picked and ate corn. When approached by the Pharisees and rebuked for it, Jesus defended the disciples. He then walks into the synagogue and heals a man’s withered hand on the same Sabbath. He has now stacked up two major offenses. The Pharisees immediately called for a little confab to plan to destroy Him using the healing as their condemning accusation. Instead of apologizing and going great lengths to attempt to prevent offense, He rather reminded them in verse six that they were the ones offending by not acknowledging He is greater than the Temple and its system they claimed was being violated. “One greater than the Temple is here.”

Dreamers and visionaries can learn to be wise and harmless. We can ask for wisdom so that we do not mistake insight for a license. Also, we can remember to consider our dreams as OUR telegrams with a purpose for ME! If you are convinced a dream is for someone else, at least get godly counsel or agreement before sharing it.
The spoken word is powerful. Therefore the spoken dream can become a living, driving force – positive or negative. Lord, help us to remember the tongue has the power of life and death and reckless words pierce like a sword, but the tongue of the wise brings healing, (Proverbs 12:18)

In one African Muslim country, a young man violently tore up a Bible tract and threatened the life of The Every Home for Christ worker going door-to-door with the literature. The next afternoon as the worker sat in his home, he was shocked to see the man knock at this door saying, “I must have another booklet.” The Muslim explained that the previous night two hands awakened him, and when he turned on a light and asked who was there, a voice said, “You have torn up the truth.” The voice instructed him to acquire another booklet, directing him to the worker’s home. There the Muslim read the booklet and became a believer and is now preparing for ministry. An Assemblies of God missionary said, “It all takes place in context, dreams are one step, a link in the chain that leads to conversion.”

Pentecost at 9:00 in the morning. And since they had no point of reference for such a tempest blast they became quite perplexed (unable to grasp something clearly or to think logically and decisively about something), cf.Acts 2:6,7,12. There was no warning that a Mighty manifestation would blast them suddenly into the miraculous church age where signs and wonders would follow them that believe (Mk.16:17). Believers were praying like their Lord had commanded them in the place He had commanded them to receive what He had commanded them (Lk.24:49) so that they could do what He had commanded them.
As the people of God assemble today, may the Lord encourage them for the future of our nation and their vital part in assuring that future. May they be encouraged that their prayers and partnership are significant in His workings in America. May they receive His assurance that they shall not be moved out of purpose nor off the foundation of God Almighty. “God is in the midst of her; she shall not be moved: God shall help her, and that right early.” (Ps.46:5) “He only is my rock and my salvation: he is my defense; I shall not be moved.” (Ps.62:6)
As the people of God assemble today, may there be a sense of community and oneness as people of God look together unto that One from whom comes their strength. May they find strength in community and strength in their God. ”I will lift up mine eyes unto the hills, from whence cometh my help. 2 My help cometh from the Lord, which made heaven and earth.” (Ps.121:1-2, KJV)
goodness of the LORD, so it IS possible for each of us to discover His works, His truth and His goodness where we live and move about, and it is possible to join with it in spreading it, being instruments of it, giving opportunity for the LORD’s goodness to impact our environment. “For the Word of the Lord is right; and all His works are done in truth. He loveth righteousness and judgment; the earth is full of the goodness of the Lord.” (Ps.33:4-5, KJV) You and I are the instruments of the goodness of the Lord in the earth today. We are praying you discover daily God’s goodness in and through your life.
(Kathy G.) More keys we can take from Jesus’ wilderness example. 3) Don’t be baited to prove your worth. Don’t even be baited to doubt it. The fact that Jesus died for you shuts out doubt and question of worth. Many wars are won at the point that doubt is kicked out. 4) Don’t let the enemy decide the rules of engagement in the wilderness. That means don’t jump when he says, “Frog.” In fact, sons don’t talk to snakes, they stomp them.
In time to come, may you live differently with different results than you have lived in times past. May your home and work be filled with different conversation in times to come because you are no longer discussing threats and defeats but hopes and victories. May your home be fuller of the things you have needed, full of evidences of victories and full of love. May it be full of the language of prosperity. May the months ahead look totally different as you look back on them. May they have the look of answers, resolve and fulfillment. (3Jn.1:2, NASB) “Beloved, I pray that in all respects you may prosper and be in good health, just as your soul prospers.” We are praying you discover daily that you and your family are prospering in God’s will.
(Kathy G.) Another key we can take from Jesus’ wilderness example will equip us: >> Don’t allow your identity to come into question during the process. You don’t question your family bond, and if anyone else does, don’t answer them. Stand confident that your Father will not de-son nor de-daughter you, and you must be on guard against allowing a rebellious or orphan spirit to de-Father you.
May the Lord Most High keep His powerful hand upon our school teachers in this coming year. May He minister to them their importance in our culture and bless them for giving of themselves to our children. May He protect them and make them righteously effective beyond all logical measures for the children’s future and the future of our nation.
(Melissa) This is the year to loose your grasp on plan B and take hold, with both hands, of plan A – His original intent for your life in 2016. If your answer is hidden, ask God what the right question is in this moment. Ask Him what, in you, might be hindering the answer. Ask Him what you need to know today. He’s got plans for you, He is not into punishing you. His M.O. is all about forgiveness, redemption, relationship, and promotion all for His glory. Hey, if He tells you it’s simply about timing then it’s really that simple. His timing is perfect. Look at the birth and life of Samuel. Perseverance is key! It’s going to be an amazing year. Get ready for your answers.
you! The simple truth is that without repentance, there is no change and without change there is no overcoming contradictions that keep affecting your life and your legacy. In the vision (several posts back) of that man being resurrected out of contradiction, he started in a death lock and was getting nowhere. That right there was a contradiction to the will of God, but he not only rose up to move on, he rose up and broke free of the smothering consequences and effects and residue of contradiction that were piled on his life in those layers of dirt. We can choose to overcome contradictions in our lives that have hindered us and troubled us too much and too long. Beyond that, God is also ready to supernaturally resurrect us out of the damage they’ve done to us! Our Redeemer is Resurrection and Life! He intends to restore what was lost under siege. His good plans are powerful and precious and within reach. So let’s become who we were born to be and do what we were born to do for His Glory! As the people of God assemble today, may He use our instructors to clearly point out the path for us to walk on. May we hear and see all the truths, directions and wise instructions that bring us to the path of Light so that we may go victoriously throughout our lives displaying the worth and value of a life lived according to the unfailing Word of God. May unbelievers observe and inquire about the road that Jesus pioneered for us. 
In your daily faithfulness to God, you might just be a placeholder for someone else. You may be standing between someone and their destruction and, were you not there, they might just move into that thing or that relationship or that distress that prevents their getting to destiny. Moses was a placeholder for Joshua. Elijah was a placeholder for Elisha and Paul was a placeholder for Timothy. It is like being the shoulders that someone else gets to stand on and start out on. Our ceiling is their floor. You are a placeholder for your children and very possibly even for others.
Our mandate is to rebuild this temple to house His presence and His purpose. What distracts us from our mandate? One of the things at the top of the list is pain. Pain has a way of capturing our attention. Pain has a way of becoming a priority, but even pain must bow to God’s authority and power and purpose. Marty hurt his back a few years ago. He laid on the bed begging and pleading for healing and relief. Between groans, he decided to call and cancel the service scheduled for the next day, but the Holy Spirit said, “You are not dealing with this like a son.” “How do I do that, Lord?” he asked aloud. The answer came just as loud. “Declare your position and purpose.”
more time, I suddenly heard myself praying, “Lord, help us. No, seriously, really make something happen this time!” Well, that was certainly no exemplary prayer of faith and power to confess publicly, but it was a powerful prayer in that it turned a light on for me.
Dreamers and visionaries can learn to be wise and harmless. We can ask for wisdom so that we do not mistake insight for a license. Also, we can remember to consider our dreams as OUR telegrams with a purpose for ME! If you are convinced a dream is for someone else, at least get godly counsel or agreement before sharing it.
