War in the Atmosphere

Melissa Gabler — A reminder for 2025: don’t forget that a lot of what you are dealing with personally, whether it be physically or emotionally, may be the war in the atmosphere.  We have the authority to say “peace” because we are His agents.  When our Lord told the storm to “be still” the atmosphere listened.  We carry that same authority and it is our job to change the atmosphere during our lifetime.  So, the next time you are dealing with something personally let your first reaction be to remember there is so much more going on around you than your eyes can see.  Ask, “where is this coming from and how do I need to deal with it?” You may simply need to say, “Peace, be still.”

An Increment of His Kingdom

MELISSA — Even though the sky is clearing there may be a storm or two that pops up as we head into the God-ordained days ahead. No worries though, the storms have to “be still” and bow to the intention of God Almighty. In prayer the other night I heard this after it came out of my mouth, “Your Kingdom is over this nation and you are releasing another increment upon us.” What if we are that increment?! What if we are the stealth measures He is putting in place to release a deeper increment of His Kingdom on this earth? Me thinks we are!

Speak Peace

Melissa Gabler—A reminder in the face of so much opposition: don’t forget that a lot of what you are dealing with personally, whether it be physically or emotionally, may be the war in the atmosphere.

Is God’s Intent Optional?

Kathy—If you were raised in a traditional church environment like I was, concepts like “binding” and “loosing” (Matt.16:19) can seem almost too radical and even border on blasphemy.  And we all know church-goers who never think about these keys to the Kingdom and never attempt to bind or lose or allow or disallow anything.  We also know church people who never think about sonship or dominion and very likely have never felt the least bit equipped to speak to a storm and say, “Peace be still.” So there is not an Ekklesia heart in every Christian that would cause them to rise up and confront contradictions to the will of God.  Nor does every Christian have confidence that they have the means to make a God difference in their own life, much less make a God difference in a business or a community or a court or a nation.  However, Jesus clearly told us that He is building a Church, a People, and He gives them the keys they need to deal with life matters and bring about God changes and God outcomes.  So we really need to unplug from the idea that using these keys is optional.  Being His Ekklesia is not like choosing new car options of whether you want heated seats or not!  In fact, you may find yourself in the hot seat if you consider these matters optional, since that is really considering God’s intent for His Church as optional.  Some things simply aren’t optional, they are obedience.

If God Commands

It is doable

The Master is Unconventional

While dealing with the wind and waves of a violent storm, the disciples were not expecting anything unconventional from Jesus. Ps.50:21 “These things you have BoatCloudsShore.jpgdone, and I kept silence; you thought that I was just like you; I will reprove you, and state {the case} in order before your eyes.” (NAS) They may have been thinking that He was like them, being subject to the same limitations they were subject to. They were expecting conventional things from an unconventional Savior. If only they could have grasped the concept that He is THE MASTER OF THE STORM.  After Jesus had calmed the storm in Mk 4:41, they asked one another, “What manner of man is this?” (KJV). In other translations it reads “Who is this?” Not fully knowing who He was, and was therefore capable of, little did they know that He would be coming to join them walking on the water! If your logic is questioning, “What manner of man is this?”, the answer is, The Master Of The Storm. When the Master is called on and relied on, it is possible to get unconventional results in an unconventional year, for He has power over the power that threatens, even over the storm.

Contradicting the Storm

The disciples confronted the storm on the lake but Jesus contradicted it with peace. wavesWhen Jesus said to His disciples that He had been given all authority in heaven and on earth and then commissioned them to disciple nations, that was the announcement that believers had now become the embodiment of the Kingdom like He was. We have the same authority and power to contradict darkness. Deut.28:7, Amp — “The Lord will cause the enemies who rise up against you to be defeated before you; they will come out against you one way, but flee before you seven ways.”

Pulling the Heavenly Into the Earthly

Dr. Don Crum — Jesus was God on a mission and He had men with Him called disciples. [Matt.8:18f] They had started their journey in joy, going somewhere with Jesus. They passed through a terrific threat that exposed their fear. They got to the other side and participated in deliverance. However, I think the real mission was to see the Lord in a new way, to have Him revealed to them in such a way that they rowing in stormcould not help but marvel, “What manner of man is this?” That is worship. The effects of the mission accomplished was the deliverance of a city from demonic possession, but the real mission was to get the Church to worship. When we worship, we move into a dimension of God called His throne room. By the way, we are already seated therein. We are here in our physical bodies, but we have an even greater, more significant presence at the right hand of God the Father in Christ. At the right hand is the place of highest authority. As God gets us into that understanding, then from earthly place and time, we really worship as we are worshiping already in the heavenly realm. Seated in the presence of His majesty we are worshiping Him along with angels and creatures and elders that cannot stop even if they wanted to. This is the seat of His government which we call His Kingdom. It is important that we marvel and worship, for when the Church worships, that tips the scale.
