The Kingdom of God is the rule of God, the authority of God, the presence of God and the influence of God. Evil cannot stop the establishing of the Kingdom. There will be resistance in this present age against the sons of the Kingdom but whether or not it turns into defeat for us as individuals is up to us. What will we allow and what will we disallow? What will we bind and what will we loose? Matt.16:19
As the people of God assemble today may they realize the authority and the effectiveness they have in the earth as the ekklesia of God (Matt.16:18, TPT — “I give you the name Peter, a stone. And this rock will be the bedrock foundation on which I will build my church [ekklesia]—my legislative assembly, and the power of death will not be able to overpower it”. May they pray for and speak the purposes of Jehovah God over our nation so that the fear of the Lord may come upon all His enemies, so that our nation may be saved from those who seek to destroy it. 2Chron.20:29, Amp — “And the fear of God came on all the kingdoms of those countries when they heard that the Lord had fought against the enemies of Israel.”
What we need more than better politicians is an awakening (at least) move of God… in the Church, then the nation. God will never share, with mere political parties, the power He has designed to be exercised through the Church. “Politicians are not to be looked to for complete social reform… The Church has been losing influence in America because it has been relying on politics to stop the moral and spiritual decay in society. Politics will not catalyze the change; it is simply a reflection of the environment. If the environment is rooted in Christian values, the politics of America will be rooted in Christian values… The spiritual revival and renewal of Christian faith needed in America will never originate from Washington. Once the spiritual climate changes, Washington will be changed. If the American Church thinks her salvation […] comes from Washington and a God-fearing president, then her hope is rooted in a counterfeit… God’s Church is not dependent on elections; it is dependent upon His Word, which declares, ‘… I will build my church, and the gates of hell shall not prevail against it.’” (Matt 16:18) (Dennis Lindsey, “God and Politics”) If we are not careful, we can just get to looking around and saying, “‘Such and such’ is what’s going on” and forget that God is at work.
Start your own spiritual history. Lack or infirmity may be just about all the generational history you have. You be the one to break the cycle. You be the one who refuses to embrace that old history. Matt.16:19-”whatever you bind on earth.” It has already been done in the heavenlies. Start walking and talking it on the earth. Eph.1:19-20, TPT — “I pray that you will continually experience the immeasurable greatness of God’s power made available to you through faith. Then your lives will be an advertisement of this immense power as it works through you! This is the mighty power 20 that was released when God raised Christ from the dead and exalted him to the place of highest honor and supreme authority in the heavenly realm!”
As the people of God assemble today may they realize that they are the Ekklesia of God and that they have the authority of God on earth to execute the Word of God and the purposes of God in their generation. May they stand together in covenant relationship and not be moved by what they see in their environment but stand upon the solid Rock in spite of wind and storms. (Matt.16:18, KJV)—‘…upon this rock I will build my church; and the gates of hell shall not prevail against it.’
