In Acts 2 the Holy Spirit invaded Jerusalem and 120 went forth from that place of invasion electrified as a result of their hunger for God. They didn’t just get goose bumps, they received an enduement of power (Acts1:8) that resulted in the world giving testimony: “These who have turned the world upside down have come here too.” (Acts17:6b) The world got to see another version of what right side up and wrong side down was.
Thank God for the prayer movement leaders who have arisen in the last 10 to 20 years to remind the church that they are supposed to be praying. Every time the people of God have lost something over the course of time God has been determined to restore it. He is a God of restoration. And every time God restores something to the church He has to bring it back in an earthshaking fashion for it to do staid, cynical humans any good. A plain old vitamin B tablet won’t get the job done when a virus has our entire system run down. God has to give us a “powerful concentration of ‘B’ in ‘shot’ form”. When a car battery goes dead, a simple 10 amp charger isn’t enough to get the vehicle going again. A 250 amp charger is required and, boy, is there ever a difference between a 10 amp spurt of electricity and a 250 amp jolt!
While it is good and necessary to remember the birth of Jesus Christ, let us honor Him even further by receiving the gift and empowering of the Holy Spirit that He gave at what many call the birth of the Church, Pentecost. Closing out this year and heading into 2018, anything less than a “high amperage” Holy Ghost “jolt” will not be sufficient. (Acts 2:2, TPT) “Suddenly they heard the sound of a violent blast of wind rushing into the house from out of the heavenly realm. The roar of the wind was so overpowering it was all anyone could bear!” (Acts 1:8, TLB) “But when the Holy Spirit has come upon you, you will receive power to testify about me with great effect, to the people in Jerusalem, throughout Judea, in Samaria, and to the ends of the earth, about my death and resurrection.”

Jn 16:13 “But when He, the Spirit of truth, comes, He will guide you into all the truth; for He will not speak on His own initiative, but whatever He hears, He will speak; and He will disclose to you what is to come. 14 “He will glorify Me, for He will take of Mine and will disclose it to you. 15 “All things that the Father has are Mine; therefore I said that He takes of Mine and will disclose it to you.” The Holy Spirit now makes available to all what was only available to a few in the Old Testament. (Lk24:49; Jn16:13; 20:22; Acts1:8; Eph5:18; 1Jn2:20) We must have impartation from the Holy Spirit to know what is to come. He takes the things of Jesus and shows them to us. Jesus is the One who has a future and if we are to participate in HIS future, we need to know the things that are of Him.
Isa 33:5 “The LORD is exalted, for He dwells on high; He has filled Zion with justice and righteousness. 6 And He will be the stability of your times, A wealth of salvation, wisdom and knowledge; The fear of the LORD is his treasure.” (Amp)

May the list of people grow who benefit because of the Word and Spirit of God that are at work in you and through you.
“But you shall receive power (ability, efficiency, and might) when the Holy Spirit has come upon you, and you shall be My witnesses in Jerusalem and all Judea and Samaria and to the ends (the very bounds) of the earth.” (Acts 1:8, Amp)

God’s government is active in this world today. It is not by something on the order of the waving of a magic wand. That government is active through sons/daughters that are indwelled by the powerful Person called Holy Spirit. Every son/daughter of God carries the same authority that Jesus did (Jn.20:21). Everything that needs to be done in this earth is already in you and I. Compare the example of Adam naming the animals. God turned him loose to name the animals because it was already in Adam. All it needed was for the Governor to authorize the release. God releases us to “get it done” by the empowering of the Holy Spirit (Acts1:8).

You are more than your constituent parts by the power of the Holy Spirit. In your constituent parts, you are arms and legs and head and torso and talent and ability but by the power of the Holy Spirit you are much more today. In you, the Holy Spirit will be more than you are and, in you, He will do more than you can do. He will be what you are not and do what you cannot do.

The Kingdom, The Process, The Benefit
Most of us have been vaguely aware of things going on in the spirit realm and their effect in the natural realm. We may not have been acutely tuned in to what is happening but we are grateful that they have been happening and that there are, at least, some results that are noticeable and some that are of benefit to our way of thinking.
We are glad to be identified with Christianity. People who first came into contact with Jesus in His earthly ministry noticed His miracles of healing and bread-breaking and followed Him for those benefits. They did not seem to produce or accomplish anything except fill the ranks as onlookers and receivers of benefits. His twelve disciples followed him for a few years as he spoke of and demonstrated the Kingdom of God. In teaching them to pray, He taught them a prayer of offering themselves as agency for the coming of that Kingdom into this earth (Mt 6:9-13). He spent His last forty days on this earth speaking to them of the Kingdom of God (Acts 1:3) and then He sent His Holy Spirit to empower them for their part in demonstrating the Kingdom (Lk 24:49; Acts 1:8).

We Live In This Time In History Because
We live in this time in history because God ordained it so and He also ordained the days to come for His Name’s sake (Ps23:3;106:8;1Jn2:12;3Jn:1:7)
Typically after someone shares about how they were powerfully used of God, someone will walk up afterwards and say something like, “Yes, but you are a full-time minister, pastor, evangelist, prophet etc., etc.” Title, T-shirt or cap doesn’t matter. The anointing and empowering One, the Holy Spirit is the same in every believer at any time in history.
The reason we do not speak with a British accent and send our taxes to London each April is because 1000’s of nameless people participated in the American Revolution and turned the tide for the nation. It could not have been done by the dozen or so people whose names made it into the history books.
Jahweh is no less faithful in this moment of history than He was in 2Co 4:9: “we know that God knows what to do; we’ve been spiritually terrorized, but God hasn’t left our side.”
“So teach us to number our days, that we may get us a heart of wisdom.” (Ps.90:12)
DECLARE: “I do not live so I might observe history taking place but so I might make history. I was born at the right time and will effectively impact the sphere of influence God has given me in my generation.”
Prophetic Gift Calls Us To Perseverance
When God gives a promise He gives a witness of the Holy Spirit in our hearts. He… put his Spirit in our hearts as a deposit, guaranteeing what is to come (2Co 1:22). We allow pressures and delay to smother the witness, of the Holy Spirit, to promise. When we are on our way to the fulfillment of promise and the wind is not at our backs, the tendency is to turn around and go back so that we are not opposed by the wind. Rowing with the wind is much easier than rowing against the wind. But winds of opposition will come from the enemy because he does not want the promise of God to be fulfilled in us. If it is fulfilled in us it will not only revolutionize our lives but it will also bless those around us. It will advance the Kingdom of God.
We need the prophetic gift around regularly strengthening, encouraging and comforting (1Co 14:3) because the receiving of promise from God does not prevent waves from coming over the side of the boat. But the boat was already a considerable distance from land, buffeted by the waves because the wind was against it (Mt 14:24). The fact that we have received a prophecy does not guarantee that the wind will be at our backs. The waves coming over the side do not have to sink us. The wind does not have to destroy us. Believe it or not, those things do not even have to discourage us. They should actually build into us determination. They should make us more determined to focus on the goal. Those who strengthen and encourage the people of God out of a prophetic gift keep us grounded in the Word and looking toward the goal.

I declare that Creator-God will creatively bring about solutions for our families, our nation and Israel in 2013.
Blessed is He who is so creative, our Lord God. If He can create such beautiful wonders that our eyes can barely believe what they are seeing, can’t He creatively bring about solutions and resolve concerning us and our nation and Israel? I think the answer is: “Well, He’s done it before!”
DECLARE: “He has done it before and He will do it again”
“Don’t you know anything? Haven’t you been listening? God doesn’t come and go. God lasts. He’s Creator of all you can see or imagine. He doesn’t get tired out, doesn’t pause to catch His breath. And He knows everything, inside and out.” (Isa40:28, Msg)
“For I know the thoughts and plans that I have for you, says the Lord, thoughts and plans for welfare and peace and not for evil, to give you hope in your final outcome.” (Jer.29:11, Amp)
“thoughts”: a device, a plan, a purpose, an invention (Thayer)
If need be, He can invent an event or a thing to bring solution in my life.
15 “All things that the Father has are Mine; therefore I said that He takes of Mine and will disclose it to you. The Holy Spirit now makes available to all what was only available to a few in the Old Testament. Missing Factor = Holy Spirit
When praying recently (or… complaining in religious-sounding language) over some seemingly impossible factors, what rose up in my spirit was, “Don’t leave the Holy Spirit out of the equation.” When we are needing a factor to get the result of 2 + X = 3, we tend to focus on the fact that we don’t have “X” and that all we have is a measly little “2” and that, as a result, we don’t yet have “3”. In our case, as believers, all we have to do is put “X” (the missing factor) in the equation. If the situation is chaotic and even destructive, wouldn’t it be obvious that the Holy Spirit is not in control? Then let’s call Him into the situation. Instead of laying out our complaints in religious-sounding language and so-called “righteous indignation,” let’s cry out before God for His promised One to bring the power of heaven into the situation (Jn16:7).
