Jesus Still has Need of You

Marty Gabler—Like Peter, scores of vanquished and beaten-down people have resigned themselves to obscurity and self-imposed penance. Their eyes once bright with hope and expectation are now dull with day-to-day sameness and lackluster existence. Rather than vibrantly walking out purpose as a daily-discovery they endure the rigors of accusing past-opportunity and the heavy yoke of indictment. While chafing under the sandy grind of unrealized fulfillment they eventually master a posture which lessens the painful contortion of their faces so that they appear to “be making it just fine.” Though the preoccupying buzz of obscurity is interfering with the message of restoration, this same Jesus wants them told that He still has need of them and that purpose still awaits. Mark 16:7 “But go, tell His disciples and Peter, ‘He is going before you into Galilee; there you will see Him, just as He said to you.'” (NAS) The reason Jesus sent that invitation to Peter was because He was “going before” (Strong) in order to “lead forward” (Thayer). Jesus does not push backward, He brings forward.

Standing on the Truth

MELISSA GABLER—Our stance in this season is standing — standing on the truth that our magnificent God is doing something BIG. He is establishing His plan for 2025 and beyond. We GET to be a part of this. We GET to be a change agent simply by standing.  Yes, YOU have what is needed for this moment.  Now is not the time to throw your hands up. Now is the time to take a deep breath and watch the glorious show unfolding in the days ahead. Yes, there will be shockers.  BUT all we need to know is that those shockers are proof that God is shaking what can be shaken (Heb.12:27-28)!  Thankful to be Your daughter, my King.  “The kingdom of God doesn’t come by counting the days on the calendar. Nor when someone says, ‘Look here!’ or, ‘There it is!’ And why? Because God’s kingdom is already among you.” (Luke 17:21 MSG) It’s time to wake up, and be who we were born to be.  Let’s win this war, as God has intended.

Awareness of Possibilities

Marty Gabler—Previous restrictions are being removed and our awareness of possibilities and solutions for our family, nation and future will increase. Our awareness will increase so that we may participate and lead in the resolve of issues. Isa.54 is a great place to start the month of February and 2025.
3-“For you will spread abroad to the right and to the left. And your descendants will possess nations And will resettle the desolate cities.
4-“Fear not, for you will not be put to shame;  And do not feel humiliated, for you will not be disgraced;  But you will forget the shame of your youth,  And the reproach of your widowhood you will remember no more. (Isa.54:3-4, NASB)
“YOUTH”: when things were attempted but nothing was accomplished; this doesn’t necessarily refer to biological age but to the early attempts we made at what we thought was purpose. Also refers to untimely words, foolish actions and decisions.
“WIDOWHOOD”: unproductive, unfruitful time; a widow did not bare children or increase family, but was known for suffering loss.
We will not be disgraced for we will not remember the shame and reproach and will therefore look for progress and victories through God’s grace.
DECLARE: “My awareness of possibilities and solutions is increasing and I will break out on the right and on the left and will not fear because I will no longer remember any shame.”

Self-Focus or Self-Awareness?

MELISSA–I want to mention one piece that is absolute necessity in the year to come. That piece is self-awareness. This may sound like a simple thing you would think comes naturally, but that is not so. We have become so self-focused that we tend to confuse the two. They are not the same. Self-focus is the Band-Aid that falls off with every raging flood. Self-awareness connects the dots, and raises a standard against the flood (Isa. 59:19). Let’s look at the literal definitions of the two words. Awareness means “informed, alert, knowledgeable, sophisticated”. Focus means “a central point, as of attraction, attention, or activity”. As a geological term, focus means the point of origin of an earthquake. Focus is narrow, where as awareness is broad. I particularly love how focus is the point of origin of an earthquake. Well, if that doesn’t just say it! Self-focus leads to personal earthquakes, and self awareness keeps us from them.

Power of the Air

Kathy Gabler—I was talking to Melissa on her way to work the morning after the download about the “power of the air.”  Before I could tell her about it, she said,  “Mom, there is something in the air.  I have been pacing restlessly for the last three days because of what I am sensing.”   I then told her about the insight on Eph. 2:2.  That confirmed the warfare status. She responded,  “We can’t be intimidated by principalities.  The problem is we feel we have to go after the whole thing, but we don’t.”  All we have to do is just pierce the piece God points out.  She said it is like a Jenga game.  Just pull the precise piece that is your part of the tumbling of a principality.  I came away equipped with a solid battle strategy: don’t be overwhelmed by the size or tenure of the enemy, just pull the piece God points out . . . or just thump the highlighted domino.

Worshiping Power is Not Enough

KATHY GABLER—Lovers of darkness worship power. It is interesting that everybody in Egypt was plagued until the magicians stopped competing. Evidently, Israel was also being convinced that worshiping power was not enough. The one true God was to be worshiped. It was the Lord who withheld His grace that would allow Pharaoh to have a change of heart.  He was obviously pushing the envelope to teach the truth.  In the next plague, God began to show the benefit of being allied with Him.  The flies did not reach the Israelites’ region of the city.  They were spared for the purpose of demonstrating that Jehovah was Lord in the midst of the earth.  Powers of darkness are never noble in their ultimate purpose.  They seek to intimidate by demonstrating their skills, and when there are harmful consequences it is of no particular concern to them. But here, God demonstrates that His acts are for His purposes in the earth and that He is drawing a line between those who worship Him and those who worship power.

Dreaming and What Might Happen

Melissa Gabler—If dreaming has not been an exciting concept for a while due to experience and our current state, just know your Father would have you to start dreaming again. Dreaming in the middle of this moment may sound counterproductive and silly, but it may be exactly what you need to move forward. What does dreaming look like? I honestly don’t know. I am working on that myself. I do believe it has something to do with looking ahead and letting passion, desire and creativity fill in the blanks. I also believe a dream crosses over into the realm of idealism when it becomes a fixed picture with no moving parts. Dreams are fluid and allow the Great Inspirer to add the elements needed for them to become real life. Maybe allow yourself to open up to the possibility of wide-eyed dreaming and see what might happen. We can’t allow victimhood to stifle us out of living with all that is possible in the God with Whom nothing is impossible (Matt.19:26;Lk.1:37;Phil.4:13). “Your word is a lamp to my feet and a light to my path.” (Psalm 119:105) “The steps of a good man are ordered by the Lord: and he delighteth in his way.” (Psalm 37:23) “Thou will show me the path of life: in thy presence is fulness of joy; at thy right hand there are pleasures for evermore.” (Psalm 16:11)

Closing Out the Year

Kathy Gabler—As you look back and close out the year, you may be one of those folks who kept a daily journal and accounting of the details of life. Or, your accounting may simply be memories highlighted for the moment or forever, but all of us have matters that mattered this year as we laid our heads down each night and then awoke to face them again the next morning. There is no closing the books, no relief, on unresolved matters whether they concern healing or relationships or circumstances or finances. Even if we don’t note them in a journal or speak of them, still they sit in the silence of the night and trouble our hearts. That’s the reason that we, like David in Psalm 56, must lean into our God, the Great Accountant who can and will balance the books and bring us to peace of mind. “You’ve kept track of my every toss and turn through the sleepless nights, Each tear entered in your ledger, each ache written in your book.” Psa 56:8 (MSG). Remembering He is there and aware and  that He will take action in our behalf, we can trust Him by breathing out a grateful sigh over 2024 and breathing in hope for 2025.

What if….

Melissa Gabler—Have you ever dealt with a physical matter, not life or death, but an irritating battle that has almost caused a lockdown due to the “WHAT IF this gets worse” record playing in your head… on repeat? It’s that kind of battle that can send your emotions from one side of the spectrum to the other.  You’re not the only person to have dealt with this issue.  There are plenty of others living with it.  BUT, most likely, you just don’t see why you HAVE to live with it. So, a Bible-reading believer begins seeking God on the matter, and I believe He will faithfully give you revelation regarding your healing all along this journey.  Throughout this journey you likely know in your core that this physical issue is a done-deal.  In fact, at the beginning of this year I heard someone say that this is going to be a year of reversal! WELL, COME ON NOW (go ahead and take that for you and yours right now!).  Take it as another confirmation that not only are you being healed, but this thing is going to be reversed!

Pried Loose From Useless Traditions

KATHY GABLER—As the CHURCH, may we be AWARE of what is righteous and what is  not.  We dare not hold to an old mindset of hide until we rapturously escape!  No, this earth is the Lord’s and He is our Lord, so we’re on His side!  That means we take a righteous stand and participate with our Lord to make a difference.  A friend told me of his dream that carried this prophetic message: as the people of God stand up and turn from what is not God, we will see God move swiftly to bring about what is God!  So be it.  If the Lord has to pry us loose from traditions that are security blankets or mindsets we cling to like a pacifier, He loves us enough to do it.  In this decade of Awakening, may we work with God and not idolize past obediences or past sounds or past experiences, nor cling to formulas and drag around a “snake on a stick” (2Kings17).

Speaking of Expectancy

Kathy Gabler—When speaking of expectancy, I’m not talking about false fantasies constructed in moments of distraction, but genuine anticipation that comes from hours, weeks and years of effort and pressing on.  After enduring twenty years of  Philistine oppression, Israel hit the threshold of expectancy and tasted the beginning of deliverance through Samson.  After twenty years of enduring his father-in-law’s manipulations, Jacob finally breathed in the fragrance of expectancy and took possession of his wives, his property and his future.  Twenty is the biblical number of expectancy, the kind of expectancy that comes after a long wait, a finally, an expected end.  Biblical expectancy is the point when preparation  brings results, the point when process yields fruit, the point when equipping fits its purpose.  Expectancy isn’t a luxury, it is a necessity because it is both fuel for the journey and the light at the end of the tunnel.

Awareness of our Lord and Giving Thanks

Marty Gabler—Why not a LIFESTYLE of THANKSGIVING? This Thanksgiving, may our hearts and minds be so turned to awareness of our Lord and to the giving of thanks to our Lord, that if He were to send in among us “angels unawares” (Heb.13:2), they would witness people who know the righteous God that they know, in the way that they know Him and honor Him. May such messenger/observers witness our living out our thanks rather than only vocalizing it occasionally. EPH.5:4-20, NKJV—“4 neither filthiness, nor foolish talking, nor coarse jesting, which are not fitting, BUT RATHER GIVING OF THANKS… 6 Let no one deceive you with empty words… 8 For you were once darkness, but now you are light in the Lord… 10 finding out what is acceptable to the Lord. 11 And have no fellowship with the unfruitful works of darkness… 15 See then that you walk circumspectly, not as fools but as wise, 16 redeeming the time, because the days are evil. 17 Therefore do not be unwise, but understand what the will of the Lord is. 18 And do not be drunk with wine, in which is dissipation; but be filled with the Spirit, 19 speaking to one another in psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, singing and making melody in your heart to the Lord, 20 GIVING THANKS ALWAYS for all things to God the Father in the name of our LORD JESUS CHRIST…”

Calling Things What God Calls Them

Marty Gabler—It is possible to call things something they are not and get into disagreement with God. It is also possible to call things into existence that have not yet existed to the glory of God. We must be cautious about getting into agreement with typically labeling people and situations and begin to speak what God’s Word and will are concerning them.   I declare that we will take advantage of every opportunity to speak life and not death, to speak blessing and not cursing, to speak hope and not despair, to speak a way out for those who are in captivity instead of cursing their captivity, and to speak solutions instead of merely observing and reporting impossibilities.  Rom 4:17  “As it is written, I have made you the father of many nations. [He was appointed our father] in the sight of God in Whom he believed, Who gives life to the dead and speaks of the nonexistent things that [He has foretold and promised] as if they [already] existed.”

November is For

Marty Gabler—November is for standing in faith and looking forward through the mist of circumstances and predictions that are for the purpose of mounting discouragement against us. It is a time of looking and seeing that our Lord has gone before us and that He has not ceased to be a Father, a Savior, a Deliverer nor a Supplier.  Prov.3:5-6—“With all your heart trust the Lord and not your own judgement. Always let him lead you, and He will clear the road for you to follow. Don’t ever think you are wise enough”.
Eph.1:18,Amp—“And [I pray] that the eyes of your heart [the very center and core of your being] may be enlightened [flooded with light by the Holy Spirit], so that you will know and cherish the hope [the divine guarantee, the confident expectation] to which He has called you, the riches of His glorious inheritance in the saints (God’s people),”

Opportunities Not Taken

Marty Gabler—There are those who have had opportunities but, because of hesitancy, they were not taken. There are some who had opportunities, but they were thwarted. It was like “bad weather”, and a heavy cloud over a launching pad preventing the launch. The rocket was fueled and ready to go, but a “weather-front” just moved in and prevented it getting airborne. Some opportunities were smothered out by more important people, taking their opportunities, and some were smothered by unexpected events. The whirlwind of circumstances keeps taking its toll and keeps preventing, BUT God moves in the middle of that kind of stuff before it even shows signs of dissipating! ”The Lord is slow to anger and great in power, and will by no means clear the guilty. The Lord has His way in the whirlwind, and in the storm, and the clouds are the dust of his feet.” (Nah.1:3,Amp)

We Are Not Alone

KATHY GABLER–The truth is we are not alone, nor are we powerless.  In 2Chronicles 20, God’s people did not know what to do, so they looked to the Lord, (vs.12).  Then in verse 14:  Then the Spirit of the Lord in their midst came upon Jahaziel and He said not to fear nor be terrified of the face of this huge enemy. It is God’s war. Go after them but you won’t have to lift a hand in this battle; just stand and watch GOD’s saving work for you take shape. Don’t be afraid, don’t waver. March out boldly for GOD is with you.  Then they knelt down bowing their faces to the ground worshiping GOD.  Some stood to their feet to praise GOD, and they praised at the top of their lungs! As they were leaving, Jehoshaphat stood up and said, “Believe firmly in GOD, your God, and your lives will be firm! Believe in your prophets and you’ll come out on top!” .

Things we Don’t Have a Reference For

Melissa Gabler—We have been living in a very toxic bubble here in America. By toxic I mean everything we’ve already talked about and more, but that toxic bubble has popped and we are about to be exposed to things we don’t have a reference for. So it’s time to prepare, and here are ways to do that: 1) Prov. 3:5-8 “Trust in the Lord with all your heart, and lean not on your own understanding; In all your ways acknowledge Him, and He shall direct your paths. Do not be wise in your own eyes; fear the Lord and depart from evil. *It will be health to your flesh, and strength to your bones.” This is the antidote to rationalism which is based in our own understanding. Take note that not leaning on our own understanding and wisdom brings health (see v. 8 above)! Get in the word and trust the Holy Spirit to reveal what you need to know.

Stay Still and Stay Thankful

Kathy Gabler—After a time of wrestling with unanswered prayer that hadn’t seen the slightest possibility of being answered and after asking the Lord for wisdom and council before my attitude got way out of line, the Lord spoke to me, “Stay still and stay thankful”. Those are very clear instructions. Immediately I began to think about stillness and thankfulness and Jn.14:1 “Don’t let your heart be troubled”, came to mind. Having studied it I knew it meant “don’t let your heart be agitated or tossed to and fro or perplexed with doubt” and all that is the opposite of being still. Unanswered prayers don’t get to determine the mood for the day. When the man arrived from Jairus’ house and told him not to trouble the Teacher any more because his daughter was dead, Jesus heard the man and said to Jairus, “Don’t be afraid! Just trust me, and she’ll be all right.” (Lk.8:50, TLB) Trust is the place where you don’t live by what you see or by what you hear; trust is the place where you stand on the Lord’s steady faithfulness, His unshakeable goodness, His undistracted awareness of what you need, of your prayers and when and how it will be best to answer them.

Why not Literal Dreams?

Kathy Gabler — I’m sure we have all wondered at times why everybody does not dream literal, plain dreams with clear communication and no search and discovery needed.  Joseph in the New Testament saw the angel in a dream and understood clearly that the instructions were to flee to Egypt with Baby Jesus and Mary.  Those were literal instructions that they could act on and they did.   However, if we consider other scriptural examples of how God communicated, He often communicated with the prophets of the Old Testament in symbolic language.  The dry bones in Ezekiel and the feet of iron and clay on the statue in Daniel were symbolic.  Even Jesus often spoke in parables instead of literal details, and you know He was communicating with the crowds that kept gathering.  Yet sometimes even the disciples had to ask Him for clarity later.  So, I suspect that having to pursue understanding is part of God’s plan and purpose, probably for reasons like, 1) seeking God for wisdom builds relationship with the Lord, and 2) pursuing understanding is how we develop an ear to hear, and 3) every time we pursue God’s wisdom and clarity, we always discover more than we went looking for.

RECEIVING A PROPHECY

Marty Gabler—Receiving a prophecy does not mean that you have just received an all-expense-paid ride on a magic carpet. Personal prophecies are conditional upon (1) our FAITH in receiving them, (2) our OBEDIENCE to God and (3) our ENDURANCE through the preparation period with a moldable attitude. James 5:10-11,Msg—“Take the old prophets as your mentors. They put up with anything, went through everything, and never once quit, all the time honoring God. What a gift life is to those who stay the course! You’ve heard, of course, of Job’s staying power, and you know how God brought it all together for him at the end. That’s because God cares, cares right down to the last detail.”

A People for God’s own Possession

Melissa Gabler — You are a representative of heaven during your lifetime. “But you are A CHOSEN RACE, A royal PRIESTHOOD, A CONSECRATED NATION, A [special] PEOPLE FOR God’s OWN POSSESSION, so that you may proclaim the excellencies [the wonderful deeds and virtues and perfections] of Him who called you out of darkness into His marvelous light.” (1 Peter 2:9, Amplified) The prophetic lifestyle opens opportunities, timing, and connections. Opportunities: having the ears to hear to be at the right place at the right time for yourself and others. Timing: none of us understand the timing of God because He is working on so many levels. It takes a prophetic lifestyle to see beyond the limited vision of our normal dimensions. It can keep you sane where timing is concerned. Connection: Brings lives together for God team-ups, projects, events, etc. We were never meant to do life alone (1 Corinthians 12:20-21). In this day and age, this way of life is a total necessity for the body of Christ.
(MELISSA GABLER will be leading worship and speaking at DREAMS VISIONS PROPHECY 2024 Sept.13 at Grace Church Willis,TX (gracewillis.org). All details are at this link: martygabler.com/dvp2024/)

Kathy — I have sensed for several months that the Body of Christ is in an important time of transition into new norms. One of the new norms I believe we can expect is strategic dreams that equip us for the purposes of God. I consider strategic dreams to be those timely telegrams that confirm direction or give instruction or release insight and understanding for a mandate and call to action. Adjustments and Updates

Marty—As the people of God assemble today may the people of God yield to the Kingdom purposes of their Lord in this new era He is leading us into. May we yield to the adjustments and updates in our spiritual vision so that it may be broadened and more aware. May all hindrances and opposition be readily realized as challenges to overcome so that we may win the race. We declare that our present limitations are only present and not the future because we are being enlarged. Isa.54:2,TPT—“Increase is coming, so enlarge your tent and add extensions to your dwelling. Hold nothing back! Make the tent ropes longer and the pegs stronger.”

God Keep School Teachers

Marty—May the Lord Most High keep His powerful hand upon our school teachers in this coming year. May He minister to them their importance in our culture and bless them for giving of themselves to our children. May He protect them and make them righteously effective beyond all logical measures for the children’s future and the future of our nation.   “…They are to give good counsel and be teachers of what is right and noble,” (Titus 2:3, Amp)
