Fruit Identifies
I was looking at the picture of a tree on the internet; it looked like a tall bush. I could not tell what kind of tree it was. There are 23,000 different kinds of trees on planet earth and it was hopeless attempting to decide which one it was. Looking at the tree, I wondered what kind it was and what good it was; was there any benefit in the tree existing; would it do anyone any good? I clicked to the next picture. It was the same tree a few weeks later. Bright-colored oranges were all over the tree. There was then no doubt in my mind what kind of tree it was, what it was good for and whether it was of any benefit to people because I could see “the glory” of that tree. Debates over size, leaf shape, trunk size, color and location were of no use until the appearance of fruit.

Fruit Of The Kingdom
Provision that is far above what might be called “adequate” has been made available to us to give ourselves over to a
Person and His governmental order that we might glorify Him through a life which testifies to that order. In speaking to the Jews of His day, Jesus said, “Therefore I say to you, the kingdom of God will be taken away from you and given to a people, producing the fruit of it.” (Matt.21:43, NASB) In The Message that verse reads quite plainly: “God’s kingdom will be taken back from you and handed over to a people who will live out a kingdom life.” Those Jews, to whom Jesus spoke, were most tedious at observing and keeping all the laws and feasts of Judaism, yet Jesus doesn’t seem to think that those observances are producing any fruit of the Kingdom. After all of their legalisms and religious effort, they have yet to produce the fruit of the Kingdom which, evidently, results in the need for the Kingdom (God’s redemptive governmental and legislative authority in the earth) to be given to a people who will produce said fruit. Some people, somewhere, at some time must (1) align with scripture, (2) contradict culture and (3) bring forth the fruit of the Kingdom by acting redemptively (enabled by Holy Spirit) to reverse the effects of darkness (Matt.13:33; 1Cor.2:4; Col.1:13; 1Jn.3:8 and Jn.20:21; Acts 1:8).

Healthy Self-Image

Healthy Self-Image:
Is not about fantasy or hype or superiority or self-focus; is not about looking in the mirror and thinking you are wonderful, beautiful or nearly perfect. Healthy self-image is learning who you are, your assets and liabilities, strengths and flaws and training yourself to override them as necessary and make them work. It is knowing you have presence and meaning in life.—Kathy Gabler

Don’t Disengage From God’s Best
The definition of “sin” in Thayer’s Lexicon is “to be without a share in; to miss the mark”. But a good look at Jn.3:16, beyond the mere King James English, would show us what an all-wise, beneficent God has done and why He has done it. Inspired by Simon Purvis’ teaching on this verse I offer this take on it: “For God so loved His created order of people and things that He gave His only Begotten Son, so people might receive His loving government, so that He might bring them back into His order, to preserve their life as it was originally meant to be before they gave themselves over to a lifestyle of disorder.” (Jn.3:16, my paraphrase) Considering Thayer’s definition and the context of Jn.3:16 this might be helpful in understanding what sin is: to live a lifestyle of decision-making and acts that disengage us from God’s very best, that would take us to the fulfillment which shows His purpose for us by what is lived out in our life.

Understanding Our Makeup
It is possible for an individual to fulfill God’s plan for his/her life (2Tim.4:7). There are some very basic factors
about our makeup, and the makeup of others around us, that we can come to understand that will be of great value in continuing upon the path to that goal. Learning what that makeup looks like, accepting it and releasing ourselves to express it freely and fully, while recognizing and relating to others who have a different makeup, is key to success. When we begin to take notice of how God has “wired” us (or, simply, how God has made us) we can stay quite close to the trajectory our Lord has for His expression in our life’s walk. Then, not only are we more efficiently and obviously bringing glory to God but we are more fulfilled and satisfied and at peace in our lives.

The Key: Holy Spirit
The Holy Spirit is the One who has constant communication with heaven which is the seat of God’s authority. The key to man being able to express the Kingdom of God here on earth is the presence of the Holy Spirit. As it has been so well said, the Holy Spirit is the most important Person on earth. Jesus is at the right hand of the Father—at the right hand of majesty on high. He is there in the presence of God. The presence of God is not static, He is active—constantly active.

By The Power Of The Holy Spirit
It is all by the power of the Holy Spirit. We are not just kings and priests so we can have titles. We are so, by the power of the Holy Spirit. The
Holy Spirit is the One who has the mind of the Father and He will guide us in those aspects of being kingly and priestly so that we may be what the Father wants us to be in those aspects.

Removing Tares
It is interesting to note scholars report that women and children were typically the ones who separated the tares from the wheat. It has already been noted that the tares can cause adverse symptoms, even death. The harvest of wheat would be worthless to the master of the field if it were discovered that there were any darnel (tares) in it. Yet, the women and children were called upon to remove the dangerous product. The women and children in this time of history and in this culture represent unskilled labor. Yet, they are the ones who are able to take care of business. In other words, that is how simple and easy it is to remove tares from our lives, our churches and our nation if we so desire they be removed. It doesn’t take any skill nor any great strength to remove tares so that the harvest is once again valuable. But the remaining factor is: the tares must be removed before the harvest is valuable and usable.
* I declare that the harmful, labor-intensive tares are being dealt with first in our individual lives and in the church and in the nation.
(This is the fifth excerpt from Marty’s article “Tares And Wheat.” In the next few days, there will be excerpts dealing with “Calling Things That Are Not” and “Incremental Change.”)

Keep Coming
When our Lord says, “Your thoughts are not my thoughts and your ways are not my ways,” that’s not a mere indictment but Hisacknowledging where we are. Upon that acknowledgment, His redemptive character is then extending an invitation to come up to His ways and come up to His thoughts. (Ps.103:7) He does not point out a disparity simply to make it more obvious. While our Lord declares to us that we are not quite there yet, we are welcome to come up and operate in His ways and think His thoughts. Can’t you hear His voice saying, “Keep coming, keep climbing, keep improving.” How useful to His purposes it is when we exceed our thoughts and ways and grasp hold of His.
“For as the heavens are higher than the earth, So are My ways higher than your ways, And My thoughts than your thoughts.” (Isa.55:9)

Enlarge And Stretch Forth
Enlarge And Stretch Forth
It is this writer’s conviction that the term “them” of Isa.54:2 is with reference to the term “children” in v.1. “Enlarge the place of thy tent, and let them stretch forth the curtains of thine habitations: spare not, lengthen thy cords, and strengthen thy stakes; (Isa 54:2 KJV) The expectant (by
facilitation, not by accident) coming into place of those “children” and the increasing number of “them” is the reason of necessity to “enlarge, stretch, spare not, lengthen, and strengthen” (whether they be biological children or spiritual sons/daughters makes no difference). I believe it is with good reason that we count everyone within our sphere of influence as cause to enlarge our “tent” of edification/facilitation whether we are affectionately disposed or not. We must extend our influence through more than biological children to fulfill the mandate of Gen 1:28—”Be fruitful and multiply, and fill the earth, and subdue it.” Our spiritual children should outnumber our natural children.

We Live In This Time In History Because
We Live In This Time In History Because
We live in this time in history because God ordained it so and He also ordained the days to come for His Name’s sake (Ps23:3;106:8;1Jn2:12;3Jn:1:7)
It is not our purpose in living to simply observe “the tide” of circumstances but to turn the tide. We do not live so we might observe history taking place but so we might make history.
Typically after someone shares about how they were powerfully used of God, someone will walk up afterwards and say something like, “Yes, but you are a full-time minister, pastor, evangelist, prophet etc., etc.” Title, T-shirt or cap doesn’t matter. The anointing and empowering One, the Holy Spirit is the same in every believer at any time in history.
The reason we do not speak with a British accent and send our taxes to London each April is because 1000’s of nameless people participated in the American Revolution and turned the tide for the nation. It could not have been done by the dozen or so people whose names made it into the history books.
Jahweh is no less faithful in this moment of history than He was in 2Co 4:9: “we know that God knows what to do; we’ve been spiritually terrorized, but God hasn’t left our side.”
“So teach us to number our days, that we may get us a heart of wisdom.” (Ps.90:12)
DECLARE: “I do not live so I might observe history taking place but so I might make history. I was born at the right time and will effectively impact the sphere of influence God has given me in my generation.”

Creative Solutions
Creative Solutions
I declare that Creator-God will creatively bring about solutions for our families, our nation and Israel in 2013.
Blessed is He who is so creative, our Lord God. If He can create such beautiful wonders that our eyes can barely believe what they are seeing, can’t He creatively bring about solutions and resolve concerning us and our nation and Israel? I think the answer is: “Well, He’s done it before!”
DECLARE: “He has done it before and He will do it again”
“Don’t you know anything? Haven’t you been listening? God doesn’t come and go. God lasts. He’s Creator of all you can see or imagine. He doesn’t get tired out, doesn’t pause to catch His breath. And He knows everything, inside and out.” (Isa40:28, Msg)
“For I know the thoughts and plans that I have for you, says the Lord, thoughts and plans for welfare and peace and not for evil, to give you hope in your final outcome.” (Jer.29:11, Amp)
“thoughts”: a device, a plan, a purpose, an invention (Thayer)
If need be, He can invent an event or a thing to bring solution in my life.

Counsel Against The Rock
Counsel Against The Rock
When the people groups of earth got together and decided to build a tower unto heaven to gain access to the place of God’s rule, they suddenly found themselves in the middle of a pointless quandary. All God had to do to totally stop their progress was confuse their language. At that point, all their agreement and unity ceased to exist and they dispersed without laying a single brick more. The Tower of Babel became an empty memorial to man’s vain attempts to
counsel together against the purposes of God. Jehovah has purposes in this time in history and in spite of people groups counseling against Him, The Rock will prevail. And concerning the purposes and abilities of Mighty Jehovha, Babel was not a one-time fluke. He can do it again!
2 The kings of the earth take their stand
And the rulers take counsel together
Against the Lord and against His Anointed, saying,
3 “Let us tear their fetters apart
And cast away their cords from us!”
4 He who sits in the heavens laughs,
The Lord scoffs at them. (Ps.2:2-4, NAS)

The Living Stone
In Daniel’s writing, he sees Jesus as The Stone (Dan.2:35). By the time we get to the New Testament, Peter is referring to Jesus as the “Living Stone.” To whom coming, [as unto] a LIVING STONE, disallowed indeed of men, but chosen of God, [and] precious… (1Pe 2:4). It is most interesting to note that the only ones “disallowing” the Stone is “men.” In Psalm 2 when “kings of the earth set themselves against the Lord” and “rulers took counsel together” against the Lord, God sat far above them in the heavens untouchable and laughed at those men who had no power to touch the all-powerful God of the heavens. It simply does not matter how many or who has “disallowed” the Living Stone. What does matter is that He “is chosen of God”.
