Adam’s failure to take dominion over that serpent, creeping creature, was a disobedience that caused a direct disconnect in relationship with the Father Creator, and it caused a breach in Adam and Eve’s domain. That whisper from the tongue of that creeper, opened a can of stink and his bad breath filled the garden. It opened the earth to a realm of opposition and contradiction to heaven’s order. This first “ADAM-BOMB” mushroomed over the garden and Adam and Eve were smothering in the smell of failure; so they hid and became fugitives in fig leaves.

We first see the connection between Kingdom and dominion in the garden. God’s creation was reflecting His governmental order as in heaven and God created Adam to be His earthly-dominion-agent. (Gen 1:28) Adam was to rule over: all God had created in earth: fish, fowl, animals and all creepers in it. There was no opposition to hinder God’s order in the garden. Communion between God and Adam was unobstructed. (The essential Father/son relationship was alive and well.) So in Gen. 3, when the voice or sound of the Lord came walking in the garden, that was nothing unusual except that, earlier that day, there was another voice or sound in the garden, a hiss, a whisper of the serpent. (The root word for serpent in Hebrew is “hiss” which means “whisper, enchant or prognosticate.”) He slithered into the garden with a whisper, and he slithered out with a stolen taste of dominion. Under the influence of that trespasser’s sound, man gave the devil a seat on his board of dominion.

Dominion is a noun the same as “faith” is a noun. Dominion, like Faith, is one of those nouns that requires action. Dominion, like faith, is a posture, a means, a response to truth and the character of God. Dominion, like faith, starts with a God-focus. We can think of dominion as a son’s part on earth to see that things here reflect Father’s government order and plan. So, the anthem of dominion is “on earth as it is in heaven.”

First, let me define some terms that I will be using. “Kingdom of God” is the rule and governmental order of God in effect. “Dominion” is governing or ruling in a domain which is a territory 
or sphere of influence and responsibility or the roads you run and world you live in. The “Dominion Mandate” is God’s authorization and instructions to govern and establish and maintain the plan, purpose and governmental order of God in the earth, in the territory God appointed us. It is authorization to rule from Sovereign authority, not our sovereign authority, but HIS. So the most important element of dominion is connection, relationship with our Sovereign Authority, God. Anyone outside that relationship is moving in distorted dominion. The last term is the “Adam-Bomb,” which is the first disobedience and breach in the Dominion Mandate.

May the Lord give us wisdom and presence of mind for where we are and who we are with. May He give us presence of mind to say the appropriate thing and withhold the thing that would not edify or bring resolve. May He reveal to us those things that simply are not necessary to say in a situation that might possibly only add confusion or even misdirect. May our Lord mercifully give us redemptive words that are life and wisdom.

As long as we do not see who or what we are in Christ, we are not going to act at that level. You are more than your constituent parts, i.e., you are more than bone and muscle and more than arms and legs and emotions. “…the Spirit… dwells with you and shall be in you.” (Jn.14:17) “Jesus answered and said to him, If a man loves Me, he will keep My Word. And My Father will love him, and We will come to him and make Our abode with him.” (Jn 14:23) Now we must give Him release through our voice and through our actions. We are our constituent parts plus the Living Christ. After Jesus announced that all authority in heaven and earth had been given to Him, He told His disciples to go. It was His valedictory address announcing to them that it was now their time to release the sovereign activity of the Father.

We must be careful not to undersell ourselves. All of us have undersold what God has put in us for appointments and we have kept our mouths shut because we have focused on our individual value without consideration for what God has put in us. David’s brothers only considered him as their bothersome little brother when they told him to go back home and tend to those few sheep. Thank God he did not limit himself to the considerations his brothers limited him to. It was evident, when he faced Goliath, where David’s considerations were: “And David said to the Philistine, You come to me with a sword and with a spear and with a javelin. But I come to you in the name of Jehovah of Hosts, the God of the armies of Israel, whom you have defied.” (1Sa 17:45) Goliath came against David with only consideration of who he was within himself but David came against Goliath with only consideration of who God was in him.

Having been around church-life a good many years I have observed a variety of people comparing who is “more spiritual” than whom and making judgments accordingly. Yet, after considering Scripture and observing folks, indication is that the one who is “more spiritual” is least judgmental; the one who is “more spiritual” is more loving and is most willing to walk the extra mile; the one who is “more spiritual” doesn’t cause criticism and rebellion in others. The “more spiritual” concept doesn’t separate, it adds to. Honestly, looking back over the years, I really don’t remember “truly spiritual people” (those whose lifetime proved Scripturally exemplary and reflective of the fruit of the Spirit) actually being all that concerned about making assessments on the lives of others. (1Cor. 9:27; 13:1-3; 2Cor. 10:12)

We need the power of Holy Spirit in order for God to be able to get us from point A to point B. The blessings of God stem from the fact that God has a 
Son, and a purpose to glorify that Son because that Son has a destiny. God will take a person from point A and, no matter how impossible it seems, get them to point B to participate in fulfilling some aspect of His Son’s destiny in advancing His Kingdom.

May we not slam doors of opportunity that are open to us through our words and/or our actions (even if we did not intend those words or actions to 
be detrimental). May we be open to approaching doors considering the possibility that we just might have to go through this one after adjusting our paradigms and preferences. May we not look back in several years and wish we had done something differently or wish we had been willing to “pay the price” to walk through that door. May we hear the voice of our LORD as we approach doors in the future and walk through them in the manner of His choosing within His timing.

It is up to our God/King to sit upon His throne in the heaven of heavens and delegate and it is up to us to take that authority and enablement and 
resist the “press of weight” and “cut through waves” and “run through troops”. David spoke in the past tense saying, “I have run through a troop.” It was something he had already done by the power of His God and wrote of it to testify to us so that we might take courage and do likewise. You were born to run through the enemy—not just one small one— but through a troop of them. You do not have to abide the enemy and certainly do not have to cower before him. You can “run through” because it is by the power of the Holy Spirit. Come, Holy Spirit, and be the Communicating, Governing and Empowering Factor in our lives!

Martha spoke of resurrection in terms of an end-time doctrine. JESUS spoke of resurrection in terms of that which is a present fact applicable to present circumstances. JESUS was challenging Martha to see it and experience it BEFORE the Last Day.
If JESUS cannot raise us from the death of failure (“death”: termination or extinction of something; cessation of all vital functions), from the death “of ceasing of function”, from the death of “not functioning because of fault or breakdown”, how can He raise us from the dust at the Last Day?
Here at Bethany, where JESUS is speaking to Martha, He is only two miles from Jerusalem where He healed one who had been diseased for 38 years; He healed one who had been blind since birth; now He raised one who had been dead for four days. Surely He can raise you up today. I like this definition of resurrection: “to stand up again.” Rejoice, it’s Resurrection Day! You can stand up again because Resurrection is a Person! (v.25 “I AM THE RESURRECTION AND THE LIFE”)
“23 Jesus said to her, “Your brother will rise again.” 24 Martha said to Him, “I know that he will rise again in the resurrection at the last day.” 25 Jesus said to her, “I am the resurrection and the life. He who believes in Me, though he may die, he shall live.” (Jn.11:23-25, NKJV)

“Truly I say to you that UNLESS a grain of wheat falls into the earth and dies…”(Jesus speaking in Jn.12:24) This particular Grain of Wheat had a choice as to whether or not He would die and go into the earth. Knowing what was coming, He said to the Father, “yet not my will, but yours be done.”(Lk.22:42) He was willing! Because this Grain would not “remain alone”: v.24 “if it dies, it bears much fruit.” Those redeemed by the shed blood of Jesus are His fruit. We are His message, His living letters (2Co.3:3) that He has sent into the future. He rose, He lives and His fruit (His message to this generation) will show Him and His resurrection to the world by the power of His Spirit. He was willing to die to bear much fruit and His resurrection enables us to live to bear much fruit.

The mighty ship that crosses oceans with great loads of valuable cargo was not meant to be tied up to the dock while the waves tossed and the wind 
howled out at sea. The ship was designed and built to ply the seas and its time in harbor at dock was meant to be for resupplying so that it could get back out upon the seas it was built for. The reason for a big harbor isn’t so that more ships may get into it and reside there, it is so that more ships may be supplied and equipped more efficiently to get back out on the seas as quickly as possible. And then once out at sea the bow must push its way through the resisting waves and currents to get to its point of delivery. We are built, like the great ships, to handle resistance and cut through resistance. Progress and profit only come from the ships that ply the seas.

ink is not wasted WHEN THE BIBLE SPEAKS of the necessity in honoring the Son of God–JESUS.
Adam’s failure to take dominion over that serpent, creeping creature, was a disobedience that caused a direct disconnect in relationship with the Father Creator, and it caused a breach in Adam and Eve’s domain. That whisper from the tongue of that creeper, opened a can of stink and his bad breath filled the garden. It opened the earth to a realm of opposition and contradiction to heaven’s order. This first “ADAM-BOMB” mushroomed over the garden and Adam and Eve were smothering in the smell of failure; so they hid and became fugitives in fig leaves.
We first see the connection between Kingdom and dominion in the garden. God’s creation was reflecting His governmental order as in heaven and God created Adam to be His earthly-dominion-agent. (Gen 1:28) Adam was to rule over: all God had created in earth: fish, fowl, animals and all creepers in it. There was no opposition to hinder God’s order in the garden. Communion between God and Adam was unobstructed. (The essential Father/son relationship was alive and well.) So in Gen. 3, when the voice or sound of the Lord came walking in the garden, that was nothing unusual except that, earlier that day, there was another voice or sound in the garden, a hiss, a whisper of the serpent. (The root word for serpent in Hebrew is “hiss” which means “whisper, enchant or prognosticate.”) He slithered into the garden with a whisper, and he slithered out with a stolen taste of dominion. Under the influence of that trespasser’s sound, man gave the devil a seat on his board of dominion.
May you breathe freer and deeper than before and may you actively participate with loved ones and friends in memory-making events. May you live and use your breath to praise God more and more, and speak of Him more and more.
Dominion is a noun the same as “faith” is a noun. Dominion, like Faith, is one of those nouns that requires action. Dominion, like faith, is a posture, a means, a response to truth and the character of God. Dominion, like faith, starts with a God-focus. We can think of dominion as a son’s part on earth to see that things here reflect Father’s government order and plan. So, the anthem of dominion is “on earth as it is in heaven.”
or sphere of influence and responsibility or the roads you run and world you live in. The “Dominion Mandate” is God’s authorization and instructions to govern and establish and maintain the plan, purpose and governmental order of God in the earth, in the territory God appointed us. It is authorization to rule from Sovereign authority, not our sovereign authority, but HIS. So the most important element of dominion is connection, relationship with our Sovereign Authority, God. Anyone outside that relationship is moving in distorted dominion. The last term is the “Adam-Bomb,” which is the first disobedience and breach in the Dominion Mandate.
As you walk in the purposes of Almighty God may you live longer than you have been told you will live and may you rejoice in the good things that your long life shall bring.
As long as we do not see who or what we are in Christ, we are not going to act at that level. You are more than your constituent parts, i.e., you are more than bone and muscle and more than arms and legs and emotions. “…the Spirit… dwells with you and shall be in you.” (Jn.14:17) “Jesus answered and said to him, If a man loves Me, he will keep My Word. And My Father will love him, and We will come to him and make Our abode with him.” (Jn 14:23) Now we must give Him release through our voice and through our actions. We are our constituent parts plus the Living Christ. After Jesus announced that all authority in heaven and earth had been given to Him, He told His disciples to go. It was His valedictory address announcing to them that it was now their time to release the sovereign activity of the Father. 
May the power of God work in you that you recuperate
We must be careful not to undersell ourselves. All of us have undersold what God has put in us for appointments and we have kept our mouths shut because we have focused on our individual value without consideration for what God has put in us. David’s brothers only considered him as their bothersome little brother when they told him to go back home and tend to those few sheep. Thank God he did not limit himself to the considerations his brothers limited him to. It was evident, when he faced Goliath, where David’s considerations were: “And David said to the Philistine, You come to me with a sword and with a spear and with a javelin. But I come to you in the name of Jehovah of Hosts, the God of the armies of Israel, whom you have defied.” (1Sa 17:45) Goliath came against David with only consideration of who he was within himself but David came against Goliath with only consideration of who God was in him. 
Having been around church-life a good many years I have observed a variety of people comparing who is “more spiritual” than whom and making judgments accordingly. Yet, after considering Scripture and observing folks, indication is that the one who is “more spiritual” is least judgmental; the one who is “more spiritual” is more loving and is most willing to walk the extra mile; the one who is “more spiritual” doesn’t cause criticism and rebellion in others. The “more spiritual” concept doesn’t separate, it adds to. Honestly, looking back over the years, I really don’t remember “truly spiritual people” (those whose lifetime proved Scripturally exemplary and reflective of the fruit of the Spirit) actually being all that concerned about making assessments on the lives of others. (1Cor. 9:27; 13:1-3; 2Cor. 10:12)
There have been unknown, unnamed people who have had an impact on a nation because they were in a place where God wanted them to be to release what He had put in them to release. God can put you in a position where someone else can open a door for you that you would have never been able to pry open on your most determined day.
May the people of God find their home a sanctuary where they are able to have peace and be rested. May it be a place of love, understanding and acceptance. May it be a place of affirmation and support.
Son, and a purpose to glorify that Son because that Son has a destiny. God will take a person from point A and, no matter how impossible it seems, get them to point B to participate in fulfilling some aspect of His Son’s destiny in advancing His Kingdom. 
be detrimental). May we be open to approaching doors considering the possibility that we just might have to go through this one after adjusting our paradigms and preferences. May we not look back in several years and wish we had done something differently or wish we had been willing to “pay the price” to walk through that door. May we hear the voice of our LORD as we approach doors in the future and walk through them in the manner of His choosing within His timing.
resist the “press of weight” and “cut through waves” and “run through troops”. David spoke in the past tense saying, “I have run through a troop.” It was something he had already done by the power of His God and wrote of it to testify to us so that we might take courage and do likewise. You were born to run through the enemy—not just one small one— but through a troop of them. You do not have to abide the enemy and certainly do not have to cower before him. You can “run through” because it is by the power of the Holy Spirit. Come, Holy Spirit, and be the Communicating, Governing and Empowering Factor in our lives!
If JESUS cannot raise us from the death of failure (“death”: termination or extinction of something; cessation of all vital functions), from the death “of ceasing of function”, from the death of “not functioning because of fault or breakdown”, how can He raise us from the dust at the Last Day?
howled out at sea. The ship was designed and built to ply the seas and its time in harbor at dock was meant to be for resupplying so that it could get back out upon the seas it was built for. The reason for a big harbor isn’t so that more ships may get into it and reside there, it is so that more ships may be supplied and equipped more efficiently to get back out on the seas as quickly as possible. And then once out at sea the bow must push its way through the resisting waves and currents to get to its point of delivery. We are built, like the great ships, to handle resistance and cut through resistance. Progress and profit only come from the ships that ply the seas.
