Almighty God, Intervene in our Nation

Marty Gabler—As the people of God assemble today may they lift their voices in a symphony of prayer to call on Almighty God to intervene in our nation in an awakening that transforms the nation to fear God and walk in His ways.  1Tim.2:1-4,Amp—“First of all, then, I urge that petitions (specific requests), prayers, intercessions (prayers for others) and thanksgivings be offered on behalf of all people, 2 for kings and all who are in [positions of] high authority, so that we may live a peaceful and quiet life in all godliness and dignity. 3 This [kind of praying] is good and acceptable and pleasing in the sight of God our Savior, 4 who wishes all people to be saved and to come to the knowledge and recognition of the [divine] truth.

Big Battles

MELISSA—Of the battles currently happening, the biggest battle going on right here amongst us is our children vs. Molech.  Molech was the god of the Ammonites and Phoenicians to whom some Israelites sacrificed their infants (see Leviticus 18:21).  I don’t think it can get more obvious that evil is after the children.  The spirit of the Molech agenda is about conforming children (who make future adults/leaders) into confused, damaged, mindless and anomalous automatons that can be easily controlled and enslaved.  This is proof that it is powers and principalities we are warring against (Eph.6:12) and all of the misguided individuals hyping evil rhetoric are simply the victimized puppets.  If people think all of this is crazy, they better understand that this thing is steadily cranking up.  Early in the year 2022 my Dad heard, “By halloween of 2022 the underbelly of the USA will be exposed.”  And, to a considerable degree, it has with articles and news features even using the headline with the word “underbelly”.  All these types of, may I say, “explosive” issues show us that we better be aware and prepared for what’s just ahead. So, it may be a good idea for us all to pray and to get involved, at some level, in the culture: 1Tim.2:12,Amp—“First of all, then, I urge that petitions (specific requests), prayers, intercessions (prayers for others) and thanksgivings be offered on behalf of all people,  2  for kings and all who are in [positions of] high authority, so that we may live a peaceful and quiet life in all godliness and dignity.”   Matt.5:16,Amp—“Let your light shine before men in such a way that they may see your good deeds and moral excellence, and [recognize and honor and] glorify your Father who is in heaven.”

Call and I Will Answer

The army sergeant was summoned to the office in response to an irate mother. With raised voice, she proceeded to inform the sergeant that his treatment of her son would no longer be tolerated. Objections would be made to the highest office if necessary. The son had gotten to a payphone and, in tear-filled voice, told his mother how rough his life was and how he was ready to come home. It seemed that the focus of her son’s misery was on the sergeant because he was continually shouting out orders and dealing out punishment when they were not carried out per every detail of his instructions. However, when each complaint was responded to, it became apparent that the young man was choosing if and when to respond to orders based upon his opinion of the value of the order. What the boy and his mother did not understand was that the sergeant had good reason to give the orders he issued and was preparing the young man for circumstances he had never dealt with and the sergeant had the expertise to get him through. The sergeant asked the mother, “Which do you prefer, that I bring him back home from war alive or in a body bag?” Commands insure longevity.

COMMAND AND AGREEMENT

In a voice of command, the Lord God spoke to Jeremiah and required that he “call unto” Him. Calling unto God has a purpose. It was not a religious exercise that God wanted to observe Jeremiah busy with.  God said, “Call unto me AND…. I will answer.” It would be in agreement with what God fully intended to do in the earth. God must agree with Himself and with His Word, His will, His plan. God is not without purpose, not without a plan; but there are times when God has been without someone to stand in the gap calling upon Him to move power and authority from heaven into the earth. Eze 22:30  “I searched for a man among them who would build up the wall and stand in the gap before Me for the land, so that I would not destroy it; but I found no one. Ezekiel does not say that a large company is required but, in v.30, ONE will do. Luk 18:1  ALSO [Jesus] told them a parable to the effect that they ought always to pray and not to turn coward (faint, lose heart, and give up). (Amp)  1Ti 2:8  I will therefore that men pray every where, lifting up holy hands, without wrath and doubting. Calling unto God in alignment with His plan and purpose brings restoration. (See Jer.33:6-14)

December is For Prayer

The month of December is for recommitting ourselves to prayer for one another and matters that matter. It seems to be easy to fall out of the habit of regular prayer when the stuff of life happens and pulls on us and disappoints us and distracts us. But we can refocus and return to (or begin) the all-important discipline of regular prayer in December. Eph.6:18, Amp — “With all prayer and petition pray [with specific requests] at all times [on every occasion and in every season] in the Spirit, and with this in view, stay alert with all perseverance and petition [interceding in prayer] for all God’s people.”  1Tim.2:8, Amp — “Therefore I want the men in every place to pray, lifting up holy hands, without anger and disputing or quarreling or doubt [in their mind].”

God was Just Wondering

Of all the things God could possibly wonder about, the Bible tells us He was wondering where His interceding people were. Isa. 59:16—“And He saw that there was no man and wondered…” (“wondered” 8074  shamem- to be desolate, to be appalled, to stun, to stupefy; to be deflowered, to be deserted, to be appalled, causing horror [Brown-Driver-Briggs]). Could it actually be that this God who loved Israel so much felt “deserted” or that the Arbiter of the universe was actually “stunned” or maybe even “stupefied” that people who knew His precepts and had heard His voice so clearly through His prophets could possibly leave His beloved Israel uncovered from lack of prayer? While we have a great host of people who want to speak for God and prophesy (some eagerly volunteering to prophesy judgment and doom), where are those falling on their face and interceding? 1Tim 2:1 “I exhort therefore, that, FIRST OF ALL, supplications, prayers, intercessions, and giving of thanks, be made for all men;” (KJV).

Moving What is in Heaven Into the Earth

Prayer is a great avenue for moving what is in heaven into earth. In a voice of command, the Lord God spoke to Jeremiah and required that he “call unto” Him (Jer.33:3). Calling unto God has a purpose. It was not a religious exercise that God wanted to observe Jeremiah busy with.  God said, “Call unto me AND I will answer.” It would be in agreement with what God fully intended to do in the earth. Lk 18:1  ALSO [Jesus] told them a parable to the effect that they ought always to pray and not to turn coward (faint, lose heart, and give up). (Amp)  1Ti 2:8  I will therefore that men pray every where, lifting up holy hands, without wrath and doubting. Calling unto God in alignment with His plan and purpose moves power and restoration into earth. (See Jer.33:6-14) (Fourth excerpt from Marty’s article “From Heaven to Earth”)
