Possibilities and Regrets

MARTY GABLER—Would-a, should-a, could-a… ah, those little nagging possibilities and regrets. They are those things that chase away sleep while the mind races and the heart thumps away at an accelerated rate because you feel dumb and have come to the undeniable conclusion that you would have just been better off if you had never gotten out of bed this morning. Right at that point is when you feel lower than a caterpillar’s belly in a wagon rut.  Just a few days ago you felt ten feet tall in the Spirit and now you have to tiptoe to reach the doorknob.
As a mentor told me many years ago, “Forgive yourself and go on.”  Go back to believing what your Lord says about you. Go back and stand on those promises–and it probably wouldn’t hurt to do a little speaking in tongues while you are at it. HE Who raised up Abraham and Sarah and made of them a great people; HE Who raised up Israel after captivity will raise you up again! Forget the would-a, should-a, could-a’s. It’s time to remember The Rock.
“Hearken to Me, you who follow after rightness and justice, you who seek and inquire of [and require] the Lord [claiming Him by necessity and by right]: look to the rock from which you were hewn and to the hole in the quarry from which you were dug; (Isa.51:1, Amp)

There are Still Possibilities in God

Marty Gabler—As the people of God assemble today, may their ears and eyes be opened to discover that there are still possibilities in their God for solutions that no one has ever considered. May they go forth speaking in agreement with the creative acts of God in them and in the earth.  “…[Abraham] dared to trust God to do what only God could do: … with a word make something out of nothing.” (Rom.4:17, Msg)

No Disappointment Dull Your Sight

Marty Gabler–May the Lord lift your arms high and strengthen you that no discouragement can reach your dreams and no disappointment can dull your sight for the possibilities and victories ahead of you.
“So then, brace up and reinvigorate and set right your slackened and weakened and drooping hands and strengthen your feeble and palsied and tottering knees,” (Heb.12:12, Amp)

Let God’s Spirit Show His Power

As the people of God assemble today may their preachers simply let God’s Spirit show His power and may the people of God be moved upon by that Spirit power and move out into the coming week with testimonies of the possibilities of the workings of God Almighty.  1Co 2:4, CEV–“When I talked with you or preached, I didn’t try to prove anything by sounding wise. I simply let God’s Spirit show his power.”

Taking in Possibilities

When Jesus addressed Philip in John 6 about where the bread would come from to feed 5,000 people, Philip simply was not looking beyond the limitations of his own experiences in order to see the possibilities of the workings and wonders of the Son of God. Philip didn’t even have to come up with any money nor any bread or fish. Andrew is the one who acquired the boy’s lunch. But in order to participate in the miracle, all Philip had to have was capacity – the ability to take in possibilities beyond his own experiences and limitations. The advantage Philip had was that he had been with Jesus—the same advantage you and I have (Matt.28:18-20; Lk.24:49; Jn.14:23).

Entertaining Possibilities

Melissa—Let me give you a personal example of what the Holy Spirit was talking about when He said, “You have shown hospitality to things that have shaped your life.” “You have harbored things that have shaped your belief system.”  A couple of days after hearing this I ended up with a throw-up headache.  The following day I was driving, again, and was all caught up in making plans on how I would deal with one of these headaches if I was out in public.  I was literally deciding on if I would try to get to a bathroom or just run outside to throw up when the Holy Spirit breaks right into the middle of this thought and says, “You are entertaining having headaches for the rest of your life.” There was a moment of stunned silence, then I realized that is exactly what I was doing while planning an emergency throw up evacuation plan.  Wow.  Just wow.  I realized that things like this have been shaping my life and how I operate and prepare me for the worst to come.  I have been entertaining the worst to come treating it like it’s a guest for me to give honor and my time.  I was giving this horrible thing my agreement.  It’s quite miserable to entertain a future that is the opposite of what God planned and provided.

Unconventional Solutions

Current events in each generation will place unrelenting demands upon that generation to see that there are possibilities, people and resources that can be ThinkingMindfultrained, modified and applied to the challenges unique to and inherited by that generation. Since we have never seen anything like the current events in our lifetime, or anyone else’s lifetime, we take hope that the God who brought solutions to Israel and used those solutions to keep covenant with them is the same God who is the Enabler of His people today to bring help and unconventional solutions to the challenges of this generation and the ones to come. “But you shall [earnestly] remember the Lord your God, for it is He Who gives you power to get wealth, that He may establish His covenant which He swore to your fathers, as it is this day.” (Deut.8:18, NASB)

They Will Anticipate Something

The coming generation will anticipate something. Who will give them something to ChildLookAhead.jpganticipate? Will they anticipate hopelessness or the possibilities of the God of the Bible? One of the biggest favors we can do the coming generation is to build anticipation into them, anticipation for the intervention of God, anticipation to see God do something no previous generation has ever seen. Every time people speak of tragedy and hopelessness, let us say to the coming generation, “BUT GOD….”. Let’s help them keep their anticipator alive and well and functioning at peak capacity. Let’s charge it up at every opportunity!

Things That may Never Come to Pass

So often we needlessly worry about things that will never come to pass. We then begin to regulate our lives according to those perceived possibilities. Like the disciples, when water is coming over the side of the boat, we tend to forget Jesus is in the boat with us. No matter where the boat goes or what assails it, Jesus is going to be assailed as well. We also tend to forget what He has already promised: Let us go over to the other side (Mk.4:35).

The End From the Beginning

“Remember the former things long past, for I am God, and there is no other; {I am} God, and there is no one like me, 10 Declaring the end from the beginning and from ancient times things which have not been done, saying, ‘My purpose will be established, and I will accomplish all My good pleasure’; (Isa 46:9-10, NAS) Jehovah God speaks the end, or completion of a thing, while standing at the beginning. After speaking the end, Almighty God must begin looking for some folks who will stay the course so that that particular end may be realized. Who will embrace God’s Word, thereby, anticipating and embracing God’s possibilities in tomorrow?  (The seventh excerpt from Marty’s article “Anticipation Nation”)

Pleasant Memories

memoriescouplesunMay sights, sounds and smells bring back to you pleasant memories. May those remembrances serve as witnesses to you of what is yet to come. May your heart and mind be filled with all the good things our good God has done in His Word and may you thrill with the possibilities for your tomorrows. May you see them coming on the horizon and may you embrace them in near days.
”Joyfully you’ll pull up buckets of water from the wells of salvation. And as you do it, you’ll say, ‘Give thanks to God. Call out his name. Ask him anything! Shout to the nations, tell them what he’s done, spread the news of his great reputation!’” (Isa.12:3-4, Msg)

Previous Restrictions Are Being Removed

Previous Restrictions Are Being Removed

Previous restrictions are being removed and our awareness of possibilities and solutions for our family, nation and future will increase. Our awareness will increase so that we may participate and lead in the resolve of issues.

3-“For you will spread abroad to the right and to the left.people-running
And your descendants will possess nations And will resettle the desolate cities.

4-“Fear not, for you will not be put to shame;  And do not feel humiliated, for you will not be disgraced;  But you will forget the shame of your youth,  And the reproach of your widowhood you will remember no more. (Isa.54:3-4, NASB)

“YOUTH”: when things were attempted but nothing was accomplished; this doesn’t necessarily refer to biological age but to the early attempts we made at what we thought was purpose.

Also refers to untimely words, foolish actions and decisions.

“WIDOWHOOD”: unproductive, unfruitful time; a widow did not bare children or increase family, but was known for suffering loss.

We will not be disgraced for we will not remember the shame and reproach and will therefore look for progress and victories through God’s grace.

DECLARE: “My awareness of possibilities and solutions is increasing and I will break out on the right and on the left and will not fear because I will no longer remember any shame.”
