Forgiveness is not About Deserving
Forgiveness is not about deserving but rather unbinding. “Forgive us as we forgive
those who trespass against us” is not a request for forgiveness so God won’t be mad at us. It is a request that God free us from sin that stops us short of His glory, free us of the things that cause us to detour or delay or destroy His original intent for us; free us from issues that keep us from getting where we were born to go. —Kathy Gabler

The Detractor Steals
The enemy of your promise does not have to completely destroy that promise. If he can’t get it all he’ll be satisfied with stealing a vital piece of it. That is the job of the
detractor spirit. A detractor is something that takes away. It steals away pieces and takes away value from the whole making it incomplete, not fully functional, not fully serving its purpose. A detractor takes a spray can and paints smudges on a beautiful statue and vulgarities on a clean wall. A detractor draws a mustache on an exquisite painting. If someone notices a lady and says, “Isn’t she beautiful?” the detractor responds, “Yes, but her nose is too big.”
That spirit has a way of making things or people look and sound unattractive, unworthy or unuseful even though they may have legitimately been at one time. It devastates or, at the least, depreciates. It loves to make the promise of God appear difficult or unattainable. We just need to realize though, that if God promises, He is the One who brings it to pass. Beware all detractors that get in the way of God’s moving toward fulfillment. He performs that which He promises (Rom.4:21). “…and being fully convinced that what He had promised He was also able to perform.” (Rom.4:21)

Resolve Tired
If we are tired and ignore tired and do not resolve tired, we can slide into weariness. Then our attitude is affected. Like in an airplane, the wrong attitude will
change the final outcome. Attitude that is off a few degrees will influence our decisions and choices, causing them to miss the mark by a few degrees. That can lead to disappointment, despair and even desperateness. Recognize the first signs of tiredness and take a break for rest. It is during those times the Holy Spirit can redefine “well doing” if necessary. If you get to the “weary” phase you can miss the harvest, you can miss the good results simply because you have lost focus and are not looking. “And let us not lose heart and grow weary and faint in acting nobly and doing right, for in due time and at the appointed season we shall reap, if we do not loosen and relax our courage and faint.” (Gal.6:9, Amp) — Kathy Gabler

Would You Buy a Bird Without a Song?
Would you buy a bird without a song or a dog without a bark? Then don’t “buy”
anything from the devil or this world system that is less than what God has promised. If you went to a hospital to have a baby and they brought out a large doll and said, “This is your baby,” would you just simply accept it “because that’s the way things are, that’s just the way things worked out this time?” Would you accept just a picture of your paycheck because your boss talked you into believing that it is a reasonable facsimile thereof? No you wouldn’t because you know very well that it would not be the real thing and you could not spend it. Therefore, don’t settle for anything less than the full promise of God which you know full well (cf.Rom.4:18).

Speaking and not Striking
God will faithfully modify our thinking with reference to philosophy of life,
convictions and basic views of Himself. He is ALWAYS bigger than the “box” we put Him in. God is both capable and willing to modify the expression of one’s personality. (Now that’s the untouchable one.) Moses was supposed to lead Israel out of Egypt, not choke all the Egyptians one by one. He was supposed to speak to the rock, not strike it. The end result is not the only thing important to God. If we yield, God will modify everything necessary so that we will speak and not strike when He says, “Speak.” Cf.”Blessed is the man who perseveres under trial, because when he has stood the test, he will receive…(Js.1:12).”

Available to be Equipped to go Beyond
As the people of God assemble today may they put their hearts upon their Lord but
be aware of and available to be equipped for the great need beyond the four walls of the church building. May we see and embrace the desire of our Father’s creative heart for the advancement and benefit of His Kingdom in government, religion, arts and entertainment, family, education, science and technology, business and finance — and take His love, wisdom and solutions into those settings.

What Prayer is Not
Before Jesus taught the disciples to pray in Matthew 6, He told them what prayer was not: prayer is not practicing your righteousness before men, prayer is not using surplus words trying to cover your bases and prayer is not from any motive that would manipulate God or man. –Kathy Gabler

Joseph’s Greater Dimension
It is doubtful that Joseph’s dream had been completely forgotten or buried under the ashes of unfulfilled years. He had a dream from God and it kept him alive and kept him going in the pit, in prison and in pressed service in a foreign land. The vision did not die but actually came to greater dimension than he had originally imagined!

God Enables and Motivates
The only place your gift (or hope or dream God has put in you) will do no good is under the ashes of hurts, self indulgence and neglected vows. If there is anyone not wanting that gift stirred, it is not God. God enables (1Tim.1:12) and motivates (Rom.15:13;Heb.12:2-3). No pleasure nor morbid sense of humor can make Him call someone, give gifts to them and then turn around and pummel their dreams into powder.

Call and I Will Show
You, O Mighty God, are not subject to political schemes, monetary declines or
medical limitations. You are above all those limited strictures. Holy Father, by your awesome Spirit, speak into our lives where we have forgotten your desires and purposes and have concluded, like Abraham in Gen.15:3, that we will not have an heir, and certain things will be and other things will not be. Holy Spirit, come and breathe upon the Word of God in our hearts that we may call upon Him so that He may show us great and mighty things. Come and witness to us today what shall be and what you shall grant by your power from your throne. We must know what we do not now know that the glory may be to Your Name. “Call to Me and I will answer you and show you great and mighty things, fenced in and hidden, which you do not know (do not distinguish and recognize, have knowledge of and understand).” (Jer.33:3, Amp)

Stir up the Fire
Ashes aren’t pretty and they don’t smell good but sometimes you must stir around
for awhile in the ash pile before you find an ember. When you do, blow it into flame and feed it. If God has put a gift in you or a vision or dream in your heart, it is still there though it may only be an ember covered up by the ashes of a spent fire. Feelings of unworthiness may prompt you to say, “Oh, but there may not even be an ember left because the original fire was built so long ago.” Let Paul’s urgency reach you. Patiently and persistently stir and feed the fire to flame! Stir it with sturdy sticks of Scripture and knowledge that “God’s gifts and His call are irrevocable (Rom.11:29).” Fan it with dreams that God put in your heart no matter how long ago. Feed it with latent hopes that you have laid aside as just so much scrap. Feed it with faith and desire and the knowledge that what our Lord has promised, He is able to perform.

God Will Enhance Abilities
In the remainder of this year God will enhance our abilities, talents and skills for the Kingdom, for income, for ministry—to be more effective. Ex 36:2 “Moses summoned Bezalel and Oholiab along with all whom GOD had gifted with the ability to work skillfully with their hands. The MEN WERE EAGER to get started and ENGAGE IN THE WORK.” The success of these men was not the simple fact that God had given them skills but that they were available and willing to apply them.

Function as a Unit
As the people of God assemble today may each member of the body of Christ be
certain to be in their place with a preparedness, a willingness and a desire to be and/or release the part that the Master has allotted to each one of us; so that we may grow and function more maturely as a unit than we ever have and effect a synergistic release into the despair of this present world system. “For because of Him the whole body (the church, in all its various parts), closely joined and firmly knit together by the joints and ligaments with which it is supplied, when each part [with power adapted to its need] is working properly [in all its functions], grows to full maturity, building itself up in love.” (Eph.4:16, Amp)

No Obedience Sabotaged
We dare not expose our obediences to sabotage with our doubt and unbelief. I
mean, even after the fact, we can go away analyzing and criticizing and speculating for months about its success to the point of concluding it was a failure or worthless effort. Unfortunately, the harvest crop can be tall and to the point of the ears forming or being almost complete, but our conclusions were all the thief needed to kill, steal and destroy. It takes as much trust with the after effects as it does to obey in the beginning, so let’s rest in the confidence that He will always be Lord of the harvest. —Kathy Gabler

Times That God Moves Us
Considering scriptural examples, I know I must be willing for God to move me if He sees such a necessity. Sometimes God moves us geographically or with reference to a career or status among our peers. Positioning and timing are high up on God’s list of imperatives (cf.Eph.1:9-10;Gal.4:4-5). There will, no doubt, be need for modifications in our point of reference and our understanding of God’s timing in order to bring the fulfillment of promise. God does not give gifts to be squandered but to bring the fruit forth from our lives that He desires to minister to others.

From Potential to Actualization
When we are willing to be moved where God deems best and when we are willing to
be modified even though it means we must change our mind about some inaccurate views we were formerly willing to die for, then the promise begins to come into place. It is then that the position of the promise changes from potential to actualization (cf.Lev.26:3-13; Deut.28:1-14;Rom. 12:1-2;Js.1:3-4,12;4:7-10;Phil.1:6).

It is Our Time
We have had our questions, our doubts and shed our tears, but we’ve heard what comes in the morning (Ps. 30:5). I’m telling you, the sun is rising on us and great joy will be ours because it is our time. It’s time to operate in the mandate God has given us. — Melissa Gabler

God’s Government Higher
Satan has come to steal, kill and destroy BUT take hope because God’s government is higher. God’s government came in Jesus to give, bring to life and build and to give us life more abundantly. “The thief comes only in order to steal and kill and destroy. I came that they may have and enjoy life, and have it in abundance (to the full, till it overflows).” (Jn.10:10, Amp)

Not Just a Special Few
As the people of God assemble today may they realize that Jehovah God Almighty is
not just the deliverer of one kind of person, He is not just the healer of only one or two kinds of illnesses, He is not just reaching out to a select few, nor is He just blessing special people who have done very special things to deserve it. Eph.2:17-18, Amp — “And He came and preached the glad tidings of peace to you who were afar off and [peace] to those who were near. 18 For it is through Him that we both [whether far off or near] now have an introduction (access) by one [Holy] Spirit to the Father [so that we are able to approach Him].”

God’s Best For Us
God’s promises are never less than His best for us. He is a God who loves us in such a way that He wants the very best for us — the best with reference to His character and His understanding of what will make us into the image of His Son. If we yield to Him and are willing to be moved and modified in the process, He will do whatever is necessary, even to moving mountains and men to bring about what is best.

The Self-to-Self Dream
While one common type of dream is a “clutter dream”, a second kind of common dream is a self-to-self dream. Many of your dreams are likely to be self-to-self
dreams. These are thoughts that are under your radar coming up onto your radar screen in a dream or your subconscious heart-thinking coming up into your awareness. Have you ever had a dream in which no matter how hard you tried to run you could only move in slow motion? Desperately grabbing bushes or grass or someone’s ponytail won’t even help speed up your progress! That is a common example of a self-to-self dream which is revealing a struggle within in your off-the-radar thinking. Somewhere in your heart-thinking you are doubting your ability to get where you need to go with a project or a relationship or a job, etc. (Third excerpt from Kathy’s article “Realizing the Value of our Dreams”)
