Overcoming Attacks

MARTIN GABLER—Have you recently felt as though you are personally under attack or that everything you have started or built or supported or cared about is being attacked with an unprecedented zeal? In the Kingdom of God there is no such thing as change/progress without opposition. We are now in an unprecedented time of history when change is a frequent factor in the lives of those in the Kingdom of God. I have had people tell me that before they came to Christ, or before they received a divine promise or calling, their lives were not all that much of a struggle. But since beginning to follow the Lord and apply themselves to progress in promise, they have been in one spiritual battle after another. When we accept Jesus, we are inducted into the army of God. God’s Kingdom has an army. He puts a robe of righteousness on us and armor which become a conspicuous uniform identifying which army we belong to. When we receive a prophecy and begin to walk it out or when we begin to hunger for the things of God which we have never experienced, we become a nuisance to that which prefers to perpetuate the status quo in us and in our environment. The enemy of the people of God knows that to let us go unhindered is to consent to defeat without a struggle. Satan’s most effective, time-proven weapons are intimidation and discouragement. As we continue to receive prophecies that propel us forward into our Kingdom purpose, there will be opposing forces that will attempt to intimidate and discourage us from doing mighty exploits. The 10 spies will cry, “Giants!” The Athaliahs will yell, “Treason!” The Michals will tauntingly proclaim, “Vile!” And the Sanballats will accusingly shout, “Rebellion!” If we check our mandate and our motivation and find them to be scriptural as David did, then let’s allow it to become our courage.

God’s Faithfulness is Greater

KATHY—Our confidence comes from the faithfulness of God. His faithfulness is greater than anybody’s opinion or experience or track record. Our willingness to participate with Father should come more from TRUST than COURAGE because we trust that the Lord has POSITIONED us and GRACED us to see His will done to us and through us in this AWAKENING. Ps.118:8—“It is better to take refuge in the Lord than to trust in man.”

Hope and Courage

As the people of God assemble today, may they encourage one another to  take hope and determine to take courage in the Lord of Lords. Joshua didn’t have all the information nor all the answers for the challenges that he faced coming at him from the future but the word of the Lord to him was to go forward anyway. Josh.1:9—“Have I not commanded you? Be strong and courageous. Do not be afraid; do not be discouraged, for the Lord your God will be with you wherever you go.”  Ps.31:24—Be of good courage, And He shall strengthen your heart, All you who hope in the Lord.

Don’t be Troubled

Wow, what a way to begin an announcement, “Hey, guys, I have something very important to say here but first I must ask you to not be troubled of heart.” Jesus looking upaddresses His disciples at a momentous time, on a very important occasion to communicate to them the launching of a new era that was immediately upon them and in which they would take the lead. “DO NOT let your hearts be troubled (distressed, agitated). You believe in and adhere to and trust in and rely on God; believe in and adhere to and trust in and rely also on Me.” (Jn.14:1, Amp)  Jesus announces His going and stresses their total dependency upon Holy Spirit to do what HE, Jesus, has been doing while with them.

Scriptural Courage

When God is keeping His people on His timetable it will require constant change on the part of those people. If we take an honest look at Eph 4:13-16, we will admit that we have not arrived. Change in the Church across the board is what we have to look forward to. Sameness is not the answer. As we hunger for the Holy Spirit’s presence in carrying out our Heavenly Father’s mandate, there will be likely human personalities who will resist. As we continue to receive prophecies that propel us forward into our destiny, there will be opposing forces that will attempt to intimidate and discourage us from doing mighty exploits.
