Repentance and Considering Things Differently

Kathy Gabler—After considering the meaning of repentance for some time, I came to a fuller understanding of biblical repentance meaning “to consider things differently and change your thinking”. I came to understand it to be “reconsidering for the purpose of aligning your thoughts with God’s”. As the process of repentance opened my understanding, even the phrase “the Kingdom of Heaven ” came to more meaning. I discovered that the Kingdom of Heaven was not a place with God that we can only reach after death, but that the Bible concept of the Kingdom of Heaven is His authority, power, order and ruling presence everywhere, at all times, both in eternity and the now. According to Psalm 145, His Kingdom always has been and always will be. Another major turn in my understanding then was that when Jesus said “the kingdom of heaven is at hand,” it is a major contradiction to think He meant that it is almost time to leave the earth to go to another place when He was actually saying the authority and power of God is within reach on earth! That made me realize that when Jesus healed some people, He said, “The Kingdom has come upon you.” He had a grasp on God’s order in Heaven and was pulling it into earth to heal. What About God’s Causes?

Martin P—When Joshua saw the man with the sword in his hand he asked, “Are you for us or for our adversaries?” (Josh. 5:13) The man said, “No.” Joshua met someone who was not evil that was not on his side. He had to stop and think. We are so concerned about our causes, our comfort and our interests that we seldom stop to find out what God’s causes and interests are in a region or in a season. Many are asking, “What is going on?” I think God is asking, “Who is on MY side?” “Who truly has my interests at heart?” What is going on? What is going on is that what can be shaken is being shaken until all that is left standing is an unshakeable Kingdom (Heb.12:27). Occupy till . . . sounds like: don’t stop doing anything I have ordained you to do with any less faith, dedication, or enthusiasm. Heb 3:14  “If we can only keep our grip on the sure thing we started out with, we’re in this with Christ for the long haul.” (The Message)  Marty is speaking at Kingdom Congress 2024 which is Mar.6-8. Ever-increasing Dominion

MELISSA–Sitting here I keep hearing, “Of the increase of His government and peace there shall be no end” (Isaiah 9:7). This is not only a beloved Christmas time chapter, it is also laying out original intent. Looking up the word ‘government’ leads to this, Of the increase of His ‘dominion’ there shall be no end. Ever-increasing dominion is quite a powerful force! When I look at Isaiah 9 like that I just don’t think the plan is to keep cycling back around to needing revivals like we’ve known them in our lifetime. I say this for anyone who may be struggling with the term “revival” like I have. It can’t be about a formula, it has to be about the King’s dominion increasing during our lifetime.

The Same Jesus

As the people of God assemble today, let them lift their voices with expectancy that the Jesus of Matthew, Mark, Luke and John will act as compassionately and powerfully and amazingly in their gathering as He did in the Gospels. Matt.11:5, TPT — “‘The blind see again, the crippled walk, lepers are cured, the deaf hear, the dead are raised back to life, and the poor and broken now hear of the hope of salvation!’”

Kingdoms and Wheat and Tares

3-2-24  JIM HODGES — “The devil offered Jesus the kingdoms of this world in the wilderness. It is my conviction that Christ began to take on those kingdoms before the cross.  He took them on in the wilderness of Judea and won the victory there. He then celebrated the victory in the garden near Golgotha.  The whole ministry of Jesus is to transform a wilderness into a garden.  The Bible began in a garden and ends in a garden-like city.  When the devil told Jesus in the wilderness that he would give Him the kingdoms of this world Jesus, of course, would not bow to him.  He defeated the devil in the desert as the Son of Man because He did not use deity powers to do so.  That gives us hope of overcoming the devil also.  On the cross, Jesus legally, judicially and covenantally stripped Satan of all his authority and made an open show of his being defeated.
One of the main points in the parable of the wheat and tares is that the tares are not removed until they mature while mixed in with the wheat.  Attempts to remove the tares from the wheat during growth will destroy the harvest.  So, in history, wheat or sons of the Kingdom grow together simultaneously with the tares or sons of the evil one.  They are occupying the same earth and they are at war because of two different agendas.  That is the basic reason that becoming a son or daughter of God is signing up for conflict.  Peace only comes by winning the conflict, not just tolerating the enemy.  The time for removing the tares is when they fully manifest what they are, like Jesus cast out devils when they manifested.”

The Increase of His Government

MELISSA—My current life scripture describes the hope I’m feeling, “Of the increase of his government and of peace there will be no end, on the throne of David and over his kingdom, to establish it and to uphold it with justice and with righteousness from this time forth and forevermore. The zeal of the Lord of hosts will do this.” (Isaiah 9:7) In the midst of utter evil and chaos, the government/Kingdom of God is increasing on this earth. The Kingdom of God is not just some realm above us that we call heaven that we will go to some day. The Kingdom of God IS heaven increasing on this earth NOW. This increase is exposing evil which is causing chaos in our world. Why is it chaotic? Because we have been living a norm that is far from the norm of heaven and it has to be exposed and overturned. So very many have been living like brainwashed puppets being directed by a puppet master whose intent is to rule and enslave through fear unto death. It sounds like a bad movie plot! When our eyes are opened, we see the horribly scripted reality we’ve been living which is far from heaven’s reality. The increase of His government is bringing stunning insight into what God’s original intent really looks like. It looks like heaven supplanting the world we’ve known, not us being taken to another place.

Preparation Against Weapons

KATHY—Preparation Against Weapons —  Some time ago Melissa was awakened at 5:00 am on a Sunday morning with a terrible pain in her thigh.  Something was biting her.  She was already conditioned to panic with a memory root of having been bitten in her sleep before by a brown recluse spider.  Added to that, she had killed a scorpion in her house three weeks earlier.  So conditioned, she jumped up in a frantic search to find her attacker.  Suddenly, however, the Spirit of the Lord said, “Don’t you think I have prepared your body to beat the weapon I saw being formed against you?”  She then remembered the downloads the Holy Spirit had been giving her in recent weeks concerning foods and specific nutrients to take.  Her panic turned to peace as quickly as it had sprung up, and the bite lost its threat. She found the culprit, dead from her slap, and the bite was a tiny dot by midmorning. “Be prepared. You’re up against far more than you can handle on your own. Take all the help you can get, every weapon God has issued, so that when it’s all over but the shouting you’ll still be on your feet.” (Eph.6:13)

Overcoming Attacks

MARTIN GABLER—Have you recently felt as though you are personally under attack or that everything you have started or built or supported or cared about is being attacked with an unprecedented zeal? In the Kingdom of God there is no such thing as change/progress without opposition. We are now in an unprecedented time of history when change is a frequent factor in the lives of those in the Kingdom of God. I have had people tell me that before they came to Christ, or before they received a divine promise or calling, their lives were not all that much of a struggle. But since beginning to follow the Lord and apply themselves to progress in promise, they have been in one spiritual battle after another. When we accept Jesus, we are inducted into the army of God. God’s Kingdom has an army. He puts a robe of righteousness on us and armor which become a conspicuous uniform identifying which army we belong to. When we receive a prophecy and begin to walk it out or when we begin to hunger for the things of God which we have never experienced, we become a nuisance to that which prefers to perpetuate the status quo in us and in our environment. The enemy of the people of God knows that to let us go unhindered is to consent to defeat without a struggle. Satan’s most effective, time-proven weapons are intimidation and discouragement. As we continue to receive prophecies that propel us forward into our Kingdom purpose, there will be opposing forces that will attempt to intimidate and discourage us from doing mighty exploits. The 10 spies will cry, “Giants!” The Athaliahs will yell, “Treason!” The Michals will tauntingly proclaim, “Vile!” And the Sanballats will accusingly shout, “Rebellion!” If we check our mandate and our motivation and find them to be scriptural as David did, then let’s allow it to become our courage.

Can I be Real?

MELISSA—Can I just be real with you? Here’s where I am currently, things don’t look right or feel right, (and I’ve had multiple conversations with others feeling the same way). It’s looking like the norm we grew up in has faded into the sunset for good. Things that used to entertain us have become disgusting beyond words and the atmosphere is so weighty it is tangible. BUT in the midst of all of this, I sense something phenomenal coming that has me so full of hope and pure joy that I can breathe deeper than I ever have.    (MELISSA is leading worship and speaking at KC2024.
