Our Secure Place

As the people of God assemble today may they rejoice together in God their Savior and in the fact that He has welcomed them, through Christ Jesus, into His family and that He is presently keeping them and, in future, able to keep them and what they have committed to Him and that they be confident in their secure place in the fellowship of the beloved. 2Tim.1:12,TPT—“The confidence of my calling enables me to overcome every difficulty without shame, for I have an intimate revelation of this God. And my faith in him convinces me that he is more than able to keep all that I’ve placed in his hands safe and secure until the fullness of his appearing.”

Our Own Self-Sabotage

MG MSG KCPromo 3-4-19Melissa — If God cloaks something for a time, it is not only to hide it from the devil and his destructive minions, but it is also to hide it from our own self-sabotage. Yes, the devil and self-sabotage are two different things.  However, the devil LOVES stoking the flames of self-sabotage! All we have to do is let our fears and concerns fall out of our mouths like kindling for the enemy’s threatening bonfire.  So many times we make the devil’s job so easy.

Word of God is Our Antidote

Kathy — The Word of God is our antidote.  The Word is our bulldozer.  The Word has the power to displace the emotional residue pushed ashore by the tide or even by a tidal wave of circumstances.  So our part of the process is to clear out the blockages within self by agreeing with the Word and by speaking the Word and telling every contrary force to be removed! (Matt. 17:20)  And the truth is that if stress, anxiety, fear, anger, frustration, guilt and confusion are removed and God’s Peace is in the house, what’s going on outside does not hold the same threat.

Don’t Miss Ordained Opportunities

MPG Grace 4-5-20Marty — John fulfilled his course (Acts 13:25). He stayed the course and remained in that position of preparing the way throughout his life. Even though he may well have wrestled with doubt while in prison, John did what he had to do in order to stay the course, even enlisting the help of others (Matt. 11:2-3) so that he might not miss the divinely ordained opportunities of the moment.

Can we Equate Joy With Ease?

Kathy — As we position our hearts to receive the joy of the Lord, may we have the wisdom not to equate JOY with EASE. If we think JOY means EASE then the least bit of opposition can add discouragement, oppression and depression to the mountains we face.JOY does not pivot around EASE.Joy comes on the heels of conflict: Isaiah 29:19 tells us, The “afflicted” shall increase their joy in the Lord. That statement is both an assurance and a challenge: the temptation and trial process shall not win, nor shall the accuser of the brethren or failure prevail; so we must forge ahead, confident the Joy of the Lord is rooted in overcoming.Joy confronts the depleting foes of grief, vexation, disappointment, hurt and worry to defy and defeat them. Joy is a by-product of relationship with God.Joy is not an emotional state. It is an attitude of the heart that does not bow at the throne of EASE.

In His Name Mountains Move

MichelleMountainSunsetAs the people of God assemble today may they hold one another up in prayer and share with one another by exhortation that the mountains of difficulty and impossibility that stand in their way are nothing in the sight of their loving Father and He is a mountain mover. Matt.17:20,TPT—“He told them, “It was because of your lack of faith. I promise you, if you have faith inside of you no bigger than the size of a small mustard seed, you can say to this mountain, ‘Move away from here and go over there,’ and you will see it move! There is nothing you couldn’t do!

June is For…

THE MONTH OF JUNE
The month of June is for looking and seeing over the top of the hump that stands in the path of our being able to see the next step or the solution to a great need. Ps.3:3,TPT—“But in the depths of my heart I truly know that you, Yahweh, have become my Shield; You take me and surround me with yourself. Your glory covers me continually. You lift high my head.”

God’s Intent for You

MSG No Rival 3-4-18picMelissa — The beauty is you just live your personal Jeremiah 29:11, and watch God.  All you have to do is do what you were born to do, and stop allowing fear to guide your life.  You see, fear makes you think you don’t have anything specific to do, you missed it, you don’t deserve it.  God has an original intent for you personally that is absolutely connected to His original intent for this earth.

King of the Hill?

Kathy — King Of The Hill? — The problem with strongholds in the soul is that self takes the lead, surrounding itself in a defensive determination, demanding a right to survive. As king of the hill, the banners of NO SUBMISSION and SELF-SUFFICIENCY defy all comers – even God. Soulish determinations, demands, self-justifications and self-sufficiency are the opposite of humbling self; and it is those who humble themselves to God that receive God’s enabling grace, His ability to overcome. (1 Pe 5:5b) “…for God is opposed to the proud, but gives grace to the humble.”

God Uses the Impossible

Concerns about jobs and income are at the forefront for most people. At the beginning of the pandemic a couple who own their own business contacted us. They had been very concerned because of the shutdowns and restrictions that would affect their business plus they live in a small town. They had just received a phone call that would insure they had work for several months. They said that it was unconventional because it was not exactly what their company does but because of their expertise, their company would be able to do the work.  I spoke with them last week and was told that they still have more work than they can handle and a relative had to move to their town to help them. One lady told us that she was looking around on the internet and discovered someone owed her money and they paid her. A widow was going through some of her husband’s papers and discovered that he had communicated with a company to buy some of his professional camera equipment. She called them to see if they might still be interested. The man said, “I have been trying to contact your husband because I owe him $450.00! I will send the check today.” Our God is unconventional and, therefore, accomplishes the necessary in unconventional ways. We have heard from several churches that income has actually been up since the pandemic started. Blessed be the name of the Lord that He does not consider the impossibilities His people are up against as being something that can’t be overcome! Yahweh has always used the impossible to glorify His name.

Finding the Path of Deliverance

msg-looking-upMelissa — When we ask the right questions we will find the path of deliverance, healing, and action. When we ask fear-based questions we have already come to the wrong, statistic-based, society-experienced conclusions.  These soulish conclusions make it really hard to hear a Spirit answer.  So, a good place to start asking the right question is to ask the Holy Spirit, “What questions should I be asking about this situation?” He will tell you, and most of the time these questions carry the answer in them.  The right questions are a key to unlock doors and chains.  The right questions give you the right perspective.

Tides and Mountain Strongholds

kg_looking-upKathy — Tides And Mountain Strongholds—Like tides coming and going, there will always be problems. Ps.34:19 “Many are the afflictions of the righteous, but the LORD delivers him out of them all.” (NKJ) 1Pet. 4:12 “Dear friends, do not be surprised at the painful trial you are suffering, as though something strange were happening to you.” (NIV) It is not life that builds blockages in our hearts and understanding.  It is our reaction to life that causes us to build isolated forts atop high mountains of the soul every time we try to protect ourselves rather than trusting God, or when we try to justify our offenses rather than forgive or repent, or when we try to avoid pain rather than obey God. So God’s goal is to change me to the point that the tides cannot stir the same reactions within me. He desires to equip us so that troubles, afflictions and offenses are confronted with the Word and displaced by the Truth instead of a reactionary blockage or the false strength of a mountain-stronghold I erect in my soul.

God Will Support You

As the people of God assemble today may they build up one another that they not be dismayed by people and MG_Prophesy-1things that seem to attack from out of nowhere. May they be encouraged that Father God is on their side and He is with them and fighting for them. Isa.41:10,GW—“Don’t be afraid, because I am with you. Don’t be intimidated; I am your God. I will strengthen you. I will help you. I will support you with my victorious right hand.”

Staying The Course

MPG Grace 4-5-20Starting on course is a great deal easier than staying the course. The admirable intentions we begin with may fall prey to the wily snares of unexpected interruptions, self-pity and obligations to family, friends and all of human kind. Starting on course and staying the course may prove to be very costly. But the loss of that which would never be gained is inestimable. 2Tim.4:7,TPT—“I have fought an excellent fight. I have finished my full course with all my might and I’ve kept my heart full of faith.”

What I Carry

Melissa — Now that it is settled that (1) you are not junk, (2) You have not messed up your “one shot”, and (3) you do not have to live with sickness and pain, let’s step back to get an even bigger view, and ask the right questions:
– So, due to the above stated facts, is what I am going through right now because of what I carry and NOT because I have been forgotten?

– Is this physical issue I’m dealing with simply the poison being pulled to the top so that I can be delivered of a long-cycling issue?
– Is this heaviness from the war in the atmosphere, and I carry the words to change that?

Mountains To Hills To Victory

Kathy — Mountains To Hills To Victory — While focused on circumstances, the Holy Spirit instructed me to speak to the “mountain” within. In a matter of seconds the Lord made me to understand that outward circumstances were not the real problem.  God could, in seconds, remove every hindrance and pull every devil off my back and, if that were best for me, He would.  So as good as that sounds, there is obviously something better. One of God’s principles is that He looks at the heart, not the outward appearance.  He deals with the root rather than just the fruit.  If my problem went away but could return and cause the same reaction in me, then the mountain is not really gone, it has just become a hill temporarily . . . until floods of life’s circumstances cause it to swell again. Matt.17:20,TPT—“He told them, “It was because of your lack of faith. I promise you, if you have faith inside of you no bigger than the size of a small mustard seed, you can say to this mountain, ‘Move away from here and go over there,’ and you will see it move! There is nothing you couldn’t do!”

Discovering God’s Plan

God’s thoughts, God’s heart were born in Hannah right in the midst of her grief and brokenness (1Sam.1:10). It was not her grief and brokenness alone. She could not claim it as her own. It was God’s! The result of God’s heart born in Hannah was a cry for a son that she might give him completely to God. Therefore, a son was born to Hannah and she completely gave him to God for the sake of Israel’s future. (Ps.142:5)  God has sounded out a framework for you to fulfill your destiny in (Heb.11:3). That framework is entered into by faith (2Cor.5:7). The way we know we have entered into it by faith is that there are corresponding actions of obedience and preparation. Our life’s call and work is a discovering of what God has had planned for eons. You were born at the right time.

You Have Something to Deposit

Melissa — Having a relationship with the King is an eye-opener: You are not junk.  You have not messed up your fictitious “one shot”.  You do not have to live with sickness and pain.  You most certainly DO have something to deposit where you are and where He takes you.  You/we are here for a purpose beyond occupying space and time.  You are here to make a difference.  There is healing in knowing this!

The Weapon and the Countermeasure

Melissa — While thinking about recent events I had to deal with, the scripture Isaiah 54:17 “no weapon formed against you will prosper” came up again. This time, however, I saw it differently. I think a lot of times this is used as a defensive scripture when really it is an offensive scripture. God equips us for the weapon BEFORE, not after, it is formed against us. The reason the weapon doesn’t prosper is because He already set countermeasures in place prior to its launch. He already equipped you with everything necessary to walk out of this battle in tact. That, my friends, is an offensive scripture loaded for battle!

Speak to the Mountain

Kathy — I saw the words scroll across the television screen: “SPEAK TO THE MOUNTAIN.” I thought of all the times I had spoken to circumstances and problems to be removed or resolved but saw no change. Suddenly the Holy Spirit interrupted my musings and instructed me to speak to the MOUNTAIN “within,” not “without.” In that moment the emphasis switched from the trouble and pressure around me to the troubled soul within me. Ps.143:12, Amp — “And in your mercy and loving-kindness, cut off my enemies and destroy all those who afflict my inner self, for I am Your servant.”  The primary mountain is the stress or anxiety or fear or anger or frustration or guilt or confusion that mounts up in us in reaction to circumstances. Those negative and destructive forces mount to such heights that they block out the light of truth and smother hope. They darken our emotions and obstruct God who is our Light, Truth and Hope, by raising a barrier between us and Him. So the “inner” MOUNTAIN is the first and critical challenge.

Sound of the Ages

God is looking for a people who will line up with a plan that has been in existence for eons. God “framed,” “completed,” “fit for Himself the ages” (Heb.11:3) with sound. He sounded out that which fit His purposes. The ages have been “fit for Himself” therefore the machinations and agendas of men (both religious and nonreligious) will not fit or find a place of fulfillment in them. Could it be that sometime we get frustrated over unanswered prayer because our prayers don’t fit what Father has already sounded out for the ages which our lives were meant to fit properly and successfully into? Since the ages were framed by the sound of God, we might want to take time to listen to that sound rather than making all the sound during prayer. (Compare Rev.2:7)

What a Day Can Hold

From a spontaneous song Melissa sang on a Sunday morning: “You don’t understand what a day can hold. spring sunriseWith each breath you take things can change.  You don’t understand what this day can hold.  With the next breath you take life can change. With each step you take won’t you expect the impossible? Won’t you expect the answer? Don’t you understand that a day sits in the palm of His hand? With each breath you take life can change.  So, won’t you get ready for the impossible at your door? Because each day sits in the palm of His hand and there’s nothing outside of His grasp, nothing too far for His eyes to see.”

Feeling Like a Victim

Kathy — We don’t know when or why Saul decided that he was “all that and a sack of chips,” but we do know that pride will breach character. Perhaps being head and shoulders above everyone else made him feel superior. On perhaps, the other extreme, his fear of the people (1 Sam 15:24) was a sign of inferior feelings and deep insecurities, and pride became his antidote. Whatever his path to pride, it became his path to downfall. The word warns that pride comes before a fall and I think it is safe to say that big pride comes VictimShameBowHeadbefore a big fall. King Saul did not fear God and pride was his door to destruction.

Sometimes we forget that we are made in the image of our Creator God. So when we create our own monsters and our own downfall, we transfer the credit to God, the devil or someone else. That way we feel like a victim instead of a perpetrator. The problem is that if we are victims, we ignore our need to repent. Instead of changing, we sit in the ruins expecting God to do what we will not do ourselves. Saul could not find someone else to blame for the breaches of his soul and character, and neither can we.

In the last half of this year, may we fear God and humble ourselves before Him that we will have the godly character to cooperate and not hinder His intent and instructions. May the rest of this year be marked by sons willingly participating in the changes necessary to see His Kingdom come on earth as it is in heaven.
