Seeing How the Lord Fulfills His Word

“The Lord said to Moses, Has the Lord’s hand (His ability and power) become short (thwarted and inadequate)? You shall see now whether My word shall come to pass for you or not.” (Num.11:23, Amp) There is a lot unseen that is yet to be seen and it shall be seen that the Lord’s hand is not short that it cannot save nor is His ear deaf that it cannot hear. Some of the wonderful mysteries that await us in coming days shall be the wonder of seeing how our LORD shall fulfill His Word, i.e., seeing who and what He will employ to bring about that which only He can accomplish. What an apropos time for us to pray Elisha’s prayer for ourselves: 2Ki 6:16 “[Elisha] answered, Fear not; for those with us are more than those with them.   17  Then Elisha prayed, Lord, I pray You, open his eyes that he may see. And the Lord opened the young man’s eyes, and he saw, and behold, the mountain was full of horses and chariots of fire round about Elisha.” (Amp) (The first excerpt from Marty’s article “Anticipation Nation”)

Relationship Over Time

In David’s son Absalom, the people got the appearance and looks that fit their agenda but they didn’t get the character in the man.  He was able to present a fine appearance and a desirable program but there was no character behind the appearance.  Absalom got the results of a self-promoter and Israel got the privilege of dealing with the fallout.  Maybe if we give ourselves to time and process and track records, we will have less fallout to deal with. Quality decisions and relationship over time engender trust.  (1Thess.5:12, KJV)  “And we beseech you, brethren, to know them which labour among you, and are over you in the Lord, and admonish you.”  We are praying you discover daily that you are trusting others only as you give them time to prove themselves trustworthy.  (Marty’s Daily Discovery as heard on TEXAS PRAISE RADIO at the bottom of the hour 24hrs/day.)

Saved From Chicanery

May the Lord open the eyes of His people that they be aware of chicanery and fraud before they become victim to it. May those who have fallen victim have their loss restored seven times, while those who cheat others learn the error of their ways.
“But even so, he is fined seven times as much as he stole, though it may mean selling everything in his house to pay it back.” (Prov.6:31, Living Bible)

Filled With the Fullness of God

As the people of God assemble today, may they be filled with the fullness of God and challenged to a new level in what our Lord has in His purposes for each member of the Body of Christ, as we stand for our families and as we confront the present climate of culture in our nation.   “May be able to comprehend with all saints what is the breadth, and length, and depth, and height;  19  And to know the love of Christ, which passeth knowledge, that ye might be filled with all the fulness of God.  20  Now unto him that is able to do exceeding abundantly above all that we ask or think, according to the power that worketh in us,” (Eph.3:18-20, KJV)

Eyes Straight Ahead

May the Lord steer us away from obligations, issues, and religious and political pet-peeves, that would occupy time and require energy that we are not ordained to pour ourselves into.  “Keep your eyes straight ahead; ignore all sideshow distractions.” (Prov.4:25, Msg)

The Metal of Uncarnal Weapons

God’s Word and His principles and His character and His will are the metal of un-carnal weapons.  For example, when we discover strongholds in our own lives that do not align with His word or principles or character or plans, humility can become an un-carnal weapon.  The Word says that if we will humble ourselves He will give us grace. (1 Pet 5:5)   So, when we choose to humble ourselves before God, we position ourselves to receive grace.  That means we are enabled to change and the stronghold is brought down. (Kathy Gabler)

Nothing Between

The one who knows Jehovah God knows that, in spite of what circumstances or people have done to an individual, God Almighty still has a purpose of His own in that person’s life. This Great God is too wise to act irrationally and too compassionate to be cruel. We are in Christ Jesus and giving thanks from that position from which nothing nor anyone can remove us.  (Rom.8:38-39, Msg) “I’m absolutely convinced that nothing—nothing living or dead, angelic or demonic, today or tomorrow, high or low, thinkable or unthinkable—absolutely nothing can get between us and God’s love because of the way that Jesus our Master has embraced us.”  We are praying you discover daily that nothing is able to get between you and your relationship with the Lord Jesus Christ. Trusting the Trustworthy

Trust is a principle that is not impossible to live.  It’s a choice.  The only things that stand in the way are experience and lies, both of which have to bow to the truth.  Sometimes we just have to start by giving up increments of concern to the faithfulness of God.  It really is okay to let go.  For some of us that is harder than it sounds, but the depth of breath experienced on the other side is extraordinary.  We are in a season of miracles, signs, and wonders.  Dare to be a part of that by trusting the Trustworthy.  “How blessed and greatly favored is the man who trusts You.” (Ps.84:12)  (This is the seventh excerpt from the article “Trustworthy” by Melissa Gabler in SEEC Magazine.)

Home: The Place of Agreement

Have you watched the news lately? There seem to be squabbles and disagreement at every level of government, between nations, races and economic strata. There must be a place where men and women, boys and girls can go and experience the opposite of the stress of such an atmosphere. May your home be a place of agreement, where squabbles and disagreement can’t find dwelling places. May it be the place of “where two or three are gathered in my Name” (Matt.18:20) becomes the place of “all things are possible” (Mk.9:23).  (Ps.128:3, GNB) “Your wife will be like a fruitful vine in your home, and your children will be like young olive trees around your table.”  We are praying you discover daily that your home is a place of productive agreement.  (Marty’s Daily Discovery as heard on TEXAS PRAISE RADIO at the bottom of the hour 24 hours/day.) www.txpraise.com

Trust to Dwell

Trust keeps the door open to dwell in His presence.  We stay around those we trust.  Ps.84:11 “For the Lord God is a sun and shield; The Lord bestows grace and favor and honor; No good thing will He withhold from those who walk uprightly.” Trust is the gateway to God’s intentions for us, equipping, protection, grace, favor and all good things.  It makes sense that the summation of this Psalm is, “O Lord of hosts, How blessed and greatly favored is the man who trusts in You.” On top of being born to trust, these are compelling reasons to do so.  (This is the sixth excerpt from the article “Trustworthy” by Melissa Gabler in SEEC Magazine.)

Counsel and Wisdom

As the people of God assemble today, may they receive counsel from the Mighty Counselor as His Word is preached and as the people of God each release to the other, in their encouragement and conversation, that wisdom which is from the mind of God Almighty for the edification of His people.
”You will guide me with Your counsel, And afterward receive me to honor and glory.” (Ps.73:24, Amp)

God, Seasons and Order

The faithful God who set the seasons in undeniable order remains on His throne so that His order and purposes will be accomplished in the earth. As certainly as there is a summer that turns into fall and a fall that turns into winter there is One who sits above the machinations of unregenerate, self-serving men. People of faith will, therefore, align themselves with His order and contradict the disorder of faithlessness—step by step and day by day.  “While the earth remains, seedtime and harvest, cold and heat, summer and winter, and day and night shall not cease.” (Gen.8:22, Amp)

Trust Finds Blessing

Blessing and favor follow those who trust.  Ps.84:6 “Passing through the Valley of Weeping (Baca), they make it a place of springs; The early rain also covers it with blessings.” Trust gets us through hard times so that we don’t make it our dwelling, and trust makes the hard times fruitful for not only us, but others.  Trust is not a selfish act.  Vs. 7 “They go from strength to strength [increasing in victorious power]; Each of them appears before God in Zion.”  Well, that’s a mouth full! Trust causes strength, and it removes the clouds of doubt so that we can see God.  Vs. 10 “For a day in Your courts is better than a thousand [anywhere else]; I would rather stand [as a doorkeeper] at the threshold of the house of my God than to live [at ease] in the tents of wickedness.”  (This is the fourth excerpt from the article “Trustworthy” by Melissa Gabler in SEEC Magazine.)

The Lesser Government of Fear

Most everyone would admit, at some point, that they are fearful. Many things can drive the fears that deplete our hopes and expectancies. But, everything you fear operates on the authority of a government that is inferior to the government and King of the Kingdom of God. (Lk.2:11b, The Voice) “…He is the promised Anointed One, the Supreme Authority!”  (Matt.4:23b, Msg) “[Jesus]… taught people the truth of God. God’s kingdom was His theme—that beginning right now they were under God’s government, a good government!”  (Rom.13:1a, Msg) “All governments are under God.”  (Col.2:10, GNT) “and you have been given full life in union with Him. He is supreme over every spiritual ruler and authority.”  We are praying you discover daily that you are fearlessly living under the rule and authority of God Almighty.  (Marty’s Daily Discovery as heard on TEXAS PRAISE RADIO at the bottom of the hour 24 hours/day.)

Trust is a Principle of the Kingdom

Trust is a principle of the Kingdom.  God knew what He was doing when He created it.  It’s life-bearing, abundant-life-bearing. How beautiful it is that the principles of God are set in place to provide the John 10:10 abundant life for all who live them.  He gave us a map for life.  Check this out, Psalm 84:12 (AMP) “O Lord of hosts, How blessed and greatly favored is the man who trusts in You [believing in You, relying on You, and committing himself to You with confident hope and expectation].” Yes, that is beautiful.  But check out the rest of Psalm 84. It literally lines out what a life looks like that trusts God. Vs. 4 “Blessed and greatly favored are those who dwell in Your house and Your presence; They will be singing Your praises all the day long. Selah.”

Month of May is for Counsel

The month of May is for counsel – for giving counsel and receiving counsel. Expect the Lord to set up situations for you to (1) receive counsel for living – for knowing what to do when no one else does, (2) counsel for relationships, (3) counsel for finances, (4) counsel for walking out your Kingdom purpose, (5) counsel for working through seemingly impossible circumstances. Expect the Lord to set up situations where you will be able to pass on to others what you have freely been given. ”The wise will hear and increase their learning, And the person of understanding will acquire wise counsel and the skill [to steer his course wisely and lead others to the truth],” (Prov.1:5, Amp)

One of our Worst Enemies

Some of us have confused trust with diligence.  By “diligence” I mean we handle, fixate on, and stay worried about a problem until it’s fixed.  That is nowhere in the definition of trust.  It’s not only the opposite of trust, but it is seething with dysfunction and disease.  A lack of trust is one of our worst enemies.  We might be blaming things on the devil that are really a lack of trust in our own lives.  I’m sure the devil doesn’t mind when we blame him for such things because it makes his job easier.

Miracle-working God Today

As the people of God assemble today, may they realize anew that the Lord God Jehovah, the Lord God Almighty, Elohim, He is this day, not just in the Old Testament, not just in the New Testament, but is this day, worldwide, the God of miracles. May they know without a doubt that not only is He the God of miracles of the faith healer but He is their God when they need a miracle and that opportunity is today.  ”You are famous because you worked miracles in Egypt, and you are still working them in Israel and in the rest of the world as well.” (Jer.32:20, CEV)

Defy Past Patterns

We should not be passive about patterns in our own life because of experience.  For example, Job said, (3:25)  “For what I fear comes upon me, And what I dread befalls me.”  Fear is being open for what could happen, and that is agreement that empowers it.  Experience can argue that your fears are always successful, but even if we cannot deny experience or past patterns, we can most certainly defy them and keep them from controlling the rest of our lives.–Kathy Gabler

Fixating on Logic’s Conclusion

It came to me that to actually trust God meant to actually let go of needing to know the process of getting to an answer. I’ve never functioned like that.  Unfortunately my M.O. has been to ask and believe for a God-outcome while all along fixating on my logic’s only conclusion as to how that could happen.  That, my friends, will wear. you. out.  In that moment it felt good, it felt right to let go, and something in me took a deep breath for the first time. (This is the second excerpt from the article “Trustworthy” by Melissa Gabler in SEEC Magazine.)

Why are we in This Present Mess?

“Why are we in this present mess and why is God allowing it?”  That is basically what Gideon was asking. “How soon they forget”.  Gideon was asking that question in Jud.6:13 but in verse one it plainly states, “The children of Israel did evil in the sight of the Lord…”.  Perhaps one reason humans let their “forgetter” work so efficiently is because we pretty much feel that we are not accountable for what we don’t remember. Yet, consequences still follow.  (2Cor.7:9b, Amp)  ”…your sorrow led to repentance [and you turned back to God]; for you felt a grief such as God meant you to feel, so that you might not suffer loss in anything…”  We are praying you discover daily that Holy Spirit is bringing things to your memory so you might not suffer loss in anything.  (Marty’s Daily Discovery as heard on TEXAS PRAISE RADIO at the bottom of the hour 24 hours/day.) www.txpraise.com

Byproduct of a Believer

As of late my meditation topic has been Trust.  You know: “reliance on the integrity, strength, ability, surety, etc., of a person or thing; confidence.” (dictionary.com)  It should be a natural byproduct of being a believer. I thought so until God asked me if I trusted Him.  Of course… wait, do I?! That’s an answer I thought was sure at this point in my life.  The amazing thing is in that moment, trust made sense for the first time.  All of a sudden there was a relief in my core that I’m not sure I have ever felt.  Without Him saying a word, there was an understanding that actually trusting God meant to actually let go of needing to know the process of getting to an answer.  (This is the first excerpt from the article “Trustworthy” by Melissa Gabler in SEEC Magazine.)
