May Good Things Spring up Out of You

MARTY GABLER—May good things and giftings, and words of encouragement and enabling spring up out of you in this season like a spring that is beginning to flow. May all the debris of uncertainty and past failures and criticisms blow completely away as the good things flow unhindered to bless others. Get into the Word of God and let it speak more loudly to you than the voices that would remind you of your history.  Be reminded that the former things are cast into the sea of forgetfulness.  The forgiveness and enablements of Jesus Christ override past failures and insure future victories.  ”The good man, from his [inner] good treasure, brings out good things…” (Matt.12:35a, Amp) We are praying you discover daily God’s forgiveness in your life.

Forgive us our Debts

KATHY GABLER—Forgive us our debts as we also forgive our debtors. . . And forgive us our debts AS we forgive our debtors.  I wonder if a healthy father-son relationship means having to continually ask for forgiveness?  I think many Christians feel this part of the prayer is a directive to always be sure we are still saved, but that is not praying as a son.  A healthy son does not continually question if he is still a part of the family.  This statement, more than a petition to be forgiven, is submission to a mature son’s discipline and training.  Forgiveness un-tethers us so our lives do not revolve around our conflicts.  Forgiveness changes our focus from failure to future.

Forgiveness is not About Deserving

Forgiveness is not about deserving but rather unbinding. “Forgive us as we forgive TwoPeopleTalkingthose who trespass against us” is not a request for forgiveness so God won’t be mad at us. It is a request that God free us from sin that stops us short of His glory, free us of the things that cause us to detour or delay or destroy His original intent for us; free us from issues that keep us from getting where we were born to go. —Kathy Gabler

Releasing Others

(Kathy) — As we release others, dead or alive, from what they owe us in apology for pain, hassle, grief or injustice, we are freed up from the debt we have built. Debt erased from our future will change it. Forgiveness is an investment in your future.  “And forgive us our debts, as we forgive our debtors.” (Matt.6:12, KJV)

Embrace Forgiveness

Liftinghandssmiling
As the people of God assemble today, may they embrace the forgiveness of God Almighty

and step into new levels of freedom and fulfillment through His mercy and loving-kindness.

“For You, O Lord, are good, and ready to forgive [our trespasses, sending them away, letting them go completely and forever]; and You are abundant in mercy and loving-kindness to all those who call upon You.” (Ps.86:5, Amp)

Forgive And Rest

TwoWalkingTogether
Forgiveness, when wounded, is not based on “deserving” because we don’t want our forgiveness based on deserving!  I will forgive others for being wrong because I want forgiveness when I am wrong.  Matt 6:12, “and forgive us our sins, JUST AS we have forgiven those who have sinned against us.” (TLB) We can then rest in God’s wisdom to handle the matter.  God said vengeance is His, and you can trust Him with it!

WOUNDS and painful experiences will come, but we can walk out the process of healing and be whole!

Positive Resolve Of Anger

CrutchFreeWe cannot deny we are angry and hurt when someone wounds us; and a desire for revenge is normal, maybe even justifiable.  But neither denial or justifiable revenge is positive resolve of anger.  For example: a husband with a roving eye continually wounds his wife.  She can deny her anger and it will affect her own mind and body eventually.   Or she can feel anything from an inadequate failure to pure rage, (and her feelings are understandable and justifiable).  Forgiveness will probably be the last thing on her mind.  WHY shouldn’t she hurt him in return?  Because His SIN would then CRIPPLE her!  Sin reveals a problem in the sinner – not in those he sins against. Why make His problem her problem?  Whatever other choices she must make in her individual situation, she can ultimately choose to forgive her husband and be released from the cycle of grief and pain.

Investing In Our Future

ChainsBrokenForgiveness is an investment in your future. It is not about staying saved or deserving, it is about investing wisely.  And forgive us our debts AS we forgive our debtors is a declaration that we understand Father’s governing principle and we know our personal responsibility in living it out.  I have to think God was emphasizing a consistent and continuous release that forgiveness brings, a continual unfettering of others to unfetter ourselves from our issues, a continual coming to freedom and deliverance to live as God intended, free to be who we were born to be for our Father’s glory.

Untethered From A Future Dictated By The Past

LookRearviewMirror

Mature sons know that walking confidently in the freedom and power of forgiveness only happens “AS” we forgive others and un-tether them from a future dictated by the past. As we release others, dead or alive, from what they owe us in apology for pain, hassle, grief or injustice, we are freed up from the debt we have built.  Debt erased from our future will change it.  (Matt.6:12)
