Earnest Expectation

“The earnest expectation of the creature waits for the manifestation of the sons of ManHandOverEyes.jpgGod”(Rom.8:19) God built that expectancy into creation because He had built into His sons the ability to meet it by the empowerment of the Holy Spirit. Creation was designed to wait upon the government of God manifested in His redeemed ones; ones who would declare and decree in keeping with His will for their respective generation. (Ps.71:18)

Purposes of God and Power

Rocket LaunchingIn order to be anything unto God, we must have the power of the Holy Spirit because it is then the doing of the Holy Spirit and not ours. It cannot be done without the Holy Spirit. It is not unto or for ourselves that we are in the Kingdom of God but unto and for the eternal purposes of God and the purposes of God can only be fulfilled by the power of the Holy Spirit. (Acts 1:8)

2019 Grateful and 2020 Hopeful

As you look back and close out the year, you may be one of those folks who kept a daily journal and accounting of the details of life. Or, your accounting may simply looking out window2be memories highlighted for the moment or forever, but all of us have matters that mattered this year as we laid our heads down each night and then awoke to face them again the next morning. There is no closing the books, no relief, on unresolved matters whether they concern healing or relationships or circumstances or finances. Even if we don’t note them in a journal or speak of them, still they sit in the silence of the night and trouble our hearts. That’s the reason that we, like David in Psalm 56, must lean into our God, the Great Accountant who can and will balance the books and bring us to peace of mind. You’ve kept track of my every toss and turn through the sleepless nights, Each tear entered in your ledger, each ache written in your book.” Psa 56:8 (MSG).  Remembering He is there and aware and  that He will take action in our behalf, we can trust Him by breathing out a grateful sigh over 2019 and breathing in hope for 2020.—Kathy G

Are You Ready for the Unconventional?

holyspiritfireAbout the time of Moses Israel began to cry out, “Save us from Pharaoh!” Then suddenly, “Bam!” Snakes, staffs and bull frogs are flying in every direction. About the time of Jesus Israel cries, “Save us from Rome!” The suddenly, “Bam!” Wind, fire, tongues and spiritual drunkenness hit them. God’s people are once again crying, “Save us!” Get ready for something unusual! Are you ready for the unconventional? (Isa.55:8-9)

Finish Every Good Thing You’ve Begun

prayer_look upAs the people of God assemble today may doubts concerning their calling and purpose and value in the Kingdom of God dissipate like the morning mist.  “You keep every promise you’ve ever made to me! Since your love for me is constant and endless, I ask you, Lord, to finish every good thing that you’ve begun in me! (Ps.138:8, TPT)

Righteousness Exalts, Sin Disgraces

Commandments.jpgCould it be that terrorists may not be afraid of our nation because our nation has not kept the commandments of the Lord God and walked in His ways? When the peoples of the earth see that we are called by the name of the LORD, they will fear us. Righteousness exalts a nation, but sin is a disgrace to any people. Just quoting the Bible: Deut.28:9-10; Prov.14:34.

Not by Accident but by Design

The kingdoms of this world are to become the kingdoms of our Lord – not by accident but by design, not by mere decree but by agency. It is by divine design involving you and I as we are filled with the Holy Spirit to bring that heavenly Kingdom into this earthly realm. (Jn.20:22; Eph.5:18; Rev.11:15)

More Than Just Getting By

There is more to life than just getting by. There is more to life than just breathing and paying bills. There are promises of God to lay hold of and green pastures to eat and be at peace in. The Word is full of things God has said we can have and do and be, and precious few of us have done more than barely scratch the surface of those things. Let’s get to scratching! (Gal.4:4-5)

Start Your Own Spiritual History

Start your own spiritual history. For the last 19 or 20 generations, Israel only had a physical history and were willing to walk back into slavery in Egypt. Physical lack and/or physical infirmity may be all the history some families have to date. You be the one who refuses to walk back and embrace that old history. You be the one to break the cycle. (Eph.1:17-19; Phil.4:13)

Breaking Bondages

20 generations of Israel had known nothing but slavery. Master commands and slave responds. No freedom and no fulfillment, just like many today. We can break in our generation the things that have bound us so that the coming generation does not have to live under them. If we remain under the bondage of past generations, so will our children. It starts with us. (Gen.13:14)

Circumstances That Grasp

Hand grab arm.jpgDo not adopt the world’s sense of hopelessness. Their hopelessness does not take God’s love or miracles into account. But be transformed by the renewing of your mind (Rom.12:2). Do not be held in the present circumstances that try to hold you in their grasp. Get into the Word and get God’s picture of things.

Your Inner Man Lifted Up

Prayer Laying hands.jpgAs the people of God assemble today may their inner man be lifted up and encouraged with the liveliness of the Holy Spirit actively moving in them with the power of the Word of God and the synergistic, healing fellowship of other believers. ”that He would grant you, according to the riches of His glory, to be strengthened with power through His Spirit in the inner man.” (Eph.3:16)

Living With God’s Purpose

ThinkingHandMouthFor 400 yrs. Israel had been in a situation where they knew what to expect every day and at every turn. Their surroundings were so familiar that they had become acceptable. It was predictable and even appeared to be logical but… it wasn’t necessary. We don’t have to learn to live with anything that is not God’s purpose for our lives. (Ps.57:2; 138:7-8; Phil.1:6; 1Thess.5:23-24)

Correction and Trusting

Chain Trust.jpgCondemnation will make it almost impossible for us to be corrected. Correction requires trusting someone else’s decision or opinion. Correction requires being willing to change where necessary. Trust in God will get trouble off the porch.(Ps.37:39) Trust is a guard against condemnation. (Jn.5:24) Trust will overcome your past. (Ps.34:2) Trust is a weapon that defeats condemnation. —Kathy G

Give Thanks

It is a good thing to be reminded on one spacial day of the year that it is our
Fall Wagon Pumpkins.jpgfull time occupation every day (while going out, while being out and while
coming in) to give thanks to the LORD for goodness is not just an attribute,
it is what God is and He can be nothing else. Let there be giving of thanks
(in both speaking and singing) to Yahweh, who is most gracious. “It is a good and delightful thing to give thanks to the Lord, To sing praises to Your name, O Most High” (Ps.92:1, Amp)

Real Judge’s Chambers

Weapons of accusation hit when we are addressing basic needs like the need to be Judgecourtroomloved, affirmation or security. I pray God stir us up to stop forfeiting destiny because of legal technicalities. We must get out of the witness stand and step down from the judge’s bench. Instead, let’s go to the Real Judge’s chambers and crawl up into His lap and trust His love to bring us to His Righteousness and Grace.(1Co4:4) —Kathy Gabler

Accusation and Condemnation

pointing at personAccusation and condemnation flooded into man’s thinking in such abundance that the devil and people rarely have to lift an accusing finger at us. We have such intricate lists of what is good and what is evil, that we accuse and condemn ourselves without even looking for a lawyer. The problem with this legalistic lifestyle is that we assume our shortcomings are more powerful than the Christ that lives in us. (1Jn.3:20)— Kathy Gabler

The Gates of Thanksgiving

As the people of God assemble today may they observe the opportunity to be Gate.JPGthankful and give symphonic thanks with others who have also experienced the goodness of Father God. May they also determine to make any and all places with any and all opportunities the “gates” that are regularly entered with thankfulness.  “Enter into His gates with thanksgiving and a thank offering and into His courts with praise! Be thankful and say so to Him, bless and affectionately praise His name! For the Lord is good; His mercy and loving-kindness are everlasting, His faithfulness and truth endure to all generations.” Psalm 100:4-5 (Amp)
